I went for an oil change and they were fast , they reminded me to change my windchills so I did , the only thing is that they did not show me the filter after they changed it or during the process, based on my husband opinion they should have done that and that is why I put the 4 star, but over all the service was great. I will go again in 6 months.

My oil life light said 7% although I only have 2k miles after a year. I figured I needed an oil change. Zachary, who is also the manager informed me I just needed my sensor or something reset and that I did not need an oil change. He showed me the clean oil and that it was full. The crew checked my tires, added air and told me I don’t need an oil change for another couple thousand miles. I really appreciate the honesty - he could’ve fully taken advantage of me but they’re honest and respectful. I don’t even live in Austin but will come to this Jiffy Lube for my oil changes due to this exemplary . behavior. Finding someone so honest is rare nowadays, unfortunately but I truly appreciate the service I got at Jiffy Lube on Slaughter.

This location was my favorite place to get my cars serviced. I have been a loyal customer of this particular store since 2007. I was very happy with their customer service and promptness. All this changed when I took my car for an oil change last Dec. The technician who worked on my car may have over-tightened the drain plug during the oil change which resulted in the drain plug threads striping out. This was discovered when I went for my followup oil change in Aug this year. As advised by the Jiffy Lube store manager, I went to the car manufacturer's service center and they quoted me a price >$3,000 for the repair. When I handed out the quote to the Jiffy Lube Service store manager at this site he promised to followup with corporate and never came back.He also tried to skirt the issue by saying it was out of warranty, when in fact, this issue was a clearly a case of bad worksmanship and negligence. Then I lodged a complaint on Jiffy Lube corporate website. They were very attentive and routed me to the local franchise owner. The local franchise owner responsed to me 2 weeks later and asked for the quote and then dissapeared again. It has been more than a month now and I have not been contacted either by the local franchise owner or Corporate office. I am now confronted with the cost of paying for the repair ($3,000+) from my own pocket. I sincerely request all customers of this store to take cognizance of the lack of ownership and customer service handed out to me after being a loyal customer for more than 15 years. Please avoid Jiffy Lube and in particular this store for any service needed. They will not own up for any mistake or shoddy job that can cost you an arm and leg to fix. More importantly, the lack of communication is horrendous. The franchise owner should have his license revoked. I am not going to any Jiffy Lube store ever again. Thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------ Posting update on 20-Dec-24 Team Car Care - No settlement yet on this case. Nothing has been corrected. Pathetic customer service.

I originally went to the Brodie location. I was told by Walter that the young man who does the vehicle inspections decided to pop out early for the day. I asked for a recommendation of where I could get my vehicle inspection done quickly and he directed me to the slaughter Manchaca location. When I arrived, I was greeted by lovely woman who told me to turn into doc three where Brandon took care of me and I was able to get in and out quickly without any issues. I would recommend this location highly to anyone looking for a vehicle inspection ,as it seems that Brodie cannot accommodate.

tried to put air in my tired at the gas station next door but their machine was out of order. the team at this location were super kind and filled up my tires free of charge, and even notified me that i had a nail in it and recommended places to get it patched up. great service and experience :)

It was not pointed out to me that my car battery was severely corroded when I had my car inspected the day before, and I found myself stranded in 101 degree heat with a car that needed to be jumped because the battery needed replacing. I understand that a battery check isn’t part of the state inspection, and that legally they are not allowed to advertise other services, however, it would have been appreciated if the corrosion would have been pointed out to me to alert me to the fact that I might want to consider having the battery checked and/or replaced. The manager told me that a corroded car battery doesn’t mean it necessarily needs to be replaced, however, the fact that the battery needed to be jumped tells me otherwise.

Yes. Typically in the past the service at Jiffy Lube has been subpar. I’ve heard and seen nightmare stories from lost oil pan bolts to overcharging to just plain bad service. I was hesitant when I looked for an inspection place on a Saturday to give in to repeat business. However, I was borderline shocked at what was a great, friendly experience at the Manchaca Slaughter Lane location. I called ahead and spoke with Tim and he urged me to bring it in rather than the “we don’t have time for you attitude I’ve experienced in the past. He told me to come soon to fit me in and I forgot so when I came late he said no problem. Both Tim and Eli who performed the inspection were professional, friendly and fun. We had a couple of laughs even which is something this country needs bad right now. They deserve about a 15 on your 10 scale but problems in the past only allowed a 9 and I thought it might garner more attention. Kudos to whoever hired and trained this particular staff. If you got lucky, please take note because Tim’s and Eli’s leadership and positive attitudes not only brightened my day but brought me back as a customer. I hope you recognize them both because then I will know you have actually made changes for the better but either way each of them should be rewarded. Thanks again.
