This place is a staple and I’m glad they are still around. Friendly service and good folks. I just wish they didn’t price gouge on their e85 so much. They are $1.50+ more per gallon than other places in the state, but I guess you can charge whatever you want when the next station is over 100 miles away

Jay's Garage has worked on 3 of my vehicles now over the last 5 years and the quality of work has always been top notch. Even when I thought that I had an issue with a service they had done, they got my truck into the shop promptly. I had my brakes done on my 2014 F-150, and everything was great until a couple days later when I heard a loud squeal from the front end. After a new brake job this was obviously concerning. I brought the truck back and asked them to take a look. Without hesitation they pulled in my truck and took it apart. It turns out that coincidentally, after I had taken my truck back I went out to the woods on some gravel roads and a rock had somehow bounced into the brakes. I watched as they took it apart and saw the rock come out myself. I greatly appreciated how they handled the situation, which could have gone so differently. They have earned my business for multiple reasons, but seeing how they took responsibility for their work potentially being an issue, and getting the problem fixed promptly has soldified my trust in their work! I will always recommend them to friends and family!

Showed up to get some E85 for my car, I’m not sure who the man was that helped me but he let me test it with my E85 test kit before I bought any and it was solid E85. He filled my two 5-gallon gas jugs and I went on my way, he was friendly and helpful. As of 9/27/2024 the E85 price was $4.99/gal.

I have used Jays multiple times over the past two years and I have never been disappointed. I had my brakes done and my AC replaced and both jobs were done within the day. The employees are kind, knowledgeable, respectful, and listen to you when you walk in with a problem. I will continue to use Jays for all my vehicular needs!

Says online pumps are available until 4pm liars I drove all the way down here from Vancouver to fill up and not one of these cheap pumps have a card reader or allow any pumping once these lazy mechanics go home the entire business closes the only E85 pump in 500 miles and these MF are never open I’m freaking pissed update your hours or add electronic payment capabilities and get the hell on because as a consumer I am sick of having to come here and every time you’re closed. I think the state should rip your permit up and let a more reliable and consistent station run E85. Jay Garage you suck!

They are rude to my girlfriend. She uses Jay’s to get her oil changed. Twice they have been exceedingly rude to her. Both of these times they tried to turn her away and she had to argue that she had an appointment. Twice I have went with her to drop the car off and they see a man and they are nice as can be. Another time they couldn’t fix her car and then wanted her to tell them what the fix was and get instructions from the shop that did work and give it to them.

Great service and friendly guys! You should definitely ad credit card self serve to your E85 pump so we can get it even when you are closed! You are the only place in Portland within a 100 mile radius to get E85 and it would be more buisness for you!! Thanks,

Great shop, the guys are very skilled and awesome! At 290k my car blew the head gasket.Took my car to Jays Garage Miles and Mel took amazing care of my car and fixed it the right way. they explained everything and got my car running perfectly again. Thanks again guys!

Always call first to see if they're open. Great people here. It's the only place I get gas since it's the only place in town with E85. Unfortunately they are terrible about maintaining their regular hours of operation that are listed on this very app. I've told them how easy it is to adjust your posted hours on Google Maps when you're going to deviate from your regular schedule. They manage to respond to reviews here, but they don't bother to keep their hours updated. I can only conclude from this that they don't care about their customers. It's as if they have no competition in selling E85. Oh wait, they don't. Numerous times I've pulled up to find a handwritten note on the pumps saying they are closed. Today I drove from 45 minutes away to find it unexpectedly closed again. Do I really have to call this gas station every time before I plan on visiting? I guess so. Hey Jay's, upgrade your pumps to allow self service now that it's legal. Then you can be closed as often as you want and at least you won't be wasting your customers' time.

Best auto shop in Portland! Very good communication, got me scheduled quickly and was able to finish what I needed in a day's work. My rig is a 2005 and drives like she's brand new now! Mel and Miles are very polite and know their cars. Very pleasant to work with. Will be back for anything else I might have. Thanks guys!

I went in for a bad distributor initially. The mechanic mis-wired my spark plugs in the wrong firing order so the engine started misfiring. My car never had this problem before the repair so I mentioned this to him. He tried to deny any mistake on his part He then simply told me he could sell me new spark plugs for $300. (I replaced the spark plugs 2 months prior so they were fine) I asked him to look at the plugs again and he gave me a dirty look but fixed the mistake in 5 minutes. He also did not perform all the work as stated on my distributor and a month later I had to have another mechanic redo it as Jays garage used old parts and the distributor failed again. His mistake has cost me much more money, time, and stress than needed. Please avoid these crooks. Edit: in response to the business' reply The owner denied any wrong doing and did not attempt to correct the situation. The mechanic also still works here.

Love the place, especially since it's the only place around to get e85. Unfortunately, 4pm closer for fuel makes getting the e85 very difficult. Would love to see self-serve after hour pumps!

Mel and Miles were able to help safetly patch the hole in my fuel tank after it was drilled and emptied by thieves. My family and I appreciate their help and quick response.

Mel and Miles were great to work with! Both friendly and efficient. Miles replaced the coils and spark plugs in my 2015 Subaru Outback, and got it back up and running on very short notice.

My husband and I were visiting Portland when we experienced car trouble (we live over an hour away). Our break line blew out and on a busy Friday afternoon, Mel from Jay's Garage saved the day! They called all around for the needed part and with some serious networking they were able to find it. The part was delivered and the vehicle was fixed in under 90min! This place is a humble bluecollar business that takes pride in their work. Fair prices and quality service. Auto emergency Lifesavers!

My starter went out over the weekend on my 91 Chrysler Le Baron, I towed it into the shop Monday morning. Even with tight availability, they squeezed me in, made my car a priority and had the starter completely replaced within a few hours. Excellent work.
