Front desk employee: "As you can see..." This is the place my parents went to when I was a kid, and since moving outside city limits, I've tried to continue to use them, despite the drive. Between that, my work schedule, and their "walk-in" approach to service, it soon began to prove impractical. Consequently, I was doubting I'd ever use their services again, until I saw on the company website a new option to request an appointment. When I was informed of my next day off of work, I used the website, found an open slot on the day of choice at 7:30 (the time they open), and scheduled an appointment. I noted the following disclaimer: "Due to uncontrollable variables, there may be a wait even with an appointment request and in some cases your request for an appointment date & time can become unavailable. I acknowledge a good faith effort will be made." The phrasing "good faith effort" and "uncontrollable variables" does at least suggest that the business intends to and will attempt to honor appointments. This location, however, considers itself an exception to that; not enough so to have their location removed as an option from the website's scheduling page, just enough to be condescending to customers who come in after setting an appointment with them online. The way I learned this was by driving in early from out of town, arriving more than ten minutes before opening time, finding other prospective customers already waiting at the door, waiting in line myself and asking if my appointment was valid, only to be responded to with scorn and irritation. "We don't do appointments here. Maybe some of the other locations might, but we can't. As you can see [here gesturing impatiently to the full lobby] we do walk-ins, so..." If the response I had received had at least been polite, I wouldn't be leaving this review, and I might have even been willing to try again another week. Now, evidently, business is going well enough for them that they won't financially suffer from totally losing my business, at least not this decade; the percentage of grey hairs in their client base may mean unfortunate things for them when that generation passes, but that's for the future to prove. However, as it stands, my decision to continue coming to this location was a product of customer loyalty, and what that was met with was not simply wasted time and gasoline, but rudeness. Not being able to honor something your parent company advertises may truly be an unfortunate reality that can't be altered, but if, as a customer service representative, you can't even find in yourself the professionalism and empathy to simply appreciate that it is not unreasonable for customers to believe you will honor such until told otherwise, much less for you to find a place for the word "sorry" in your we-don't-actually-honor-appointments speech, then you should find another position within the shop, assuming you still have a valid place in it at all. Whatever merits this location may have, 1 star for gutter-quality customer service.

Amazing service. Friendly people. This is the good old-fashioned friendly neighborhood service that we used to have. It still exists here. From now on they’ll get all my tire and service work.

got oil change. PROS 1. Quick turn around; done in thirty minutes this time, which is a record since they normally take 60-90 minutes turnaround. 2. i have been going to jack furriers for oil change for seventeen years and they generally do a good job and do not try to cheat or upcharge, which is why i have stuck with them 3. tanque verde location space has nice waiting room, which VERY COMFORATABLE sofa chairs 4. i have been to 22nd and pantano location before but this time went to tanque verde since they have better google rating 5. i brought new engine air filer with me and they were kind enough to install it for me at no charge and return the old removed air filter CONS 1. Asked for full synthetic oil change. after work done, sticker on windshield said blend so had to go back again after coming home to verify it was full synthetic; person at counter said it was and windshield sticker was wrong so i guess i have to take his word for it 2. i had $25 off coupon which was ultimately accepted and honored but person at desk seemed hesitant and reluctant to take it and would not provide free pre-trip 55 point check up, for which i had coupon also 3. has TV but only runs music; not even free antenna TV to watch while waiting

I have come here a several times and I have to tell you these guys are AMAZING. They are honest and help you out however they are able. Shout out to Kevin for being such a kind person. I highly recommend them for their customer service and work ethic.

This place has such integrity and they were so helpful with our car. They were very knowledgeable and spent the time to try and find the problem and when they ran a diagnostic again there were more problems. Sadly we couldn’t afford what needed to be done. They were upfront and honest, so as to us not wasting any money. This day and age it is so important. I will continue to take my other cars there. Good Job

These guys are absolutely amazing! They took several steps to properly diagnose the issue, starting with the least expensive. They ended up crediting the part that was replaced that was not needed but a part of the diagnosis process. They are an honest company. I would highly recommend. I was amazed at the service I recieved. I have nothing but good things to say about the steps they took and how they handled my rare truck issue. Thank you guys!! You have no idea how much I appreciate all of the time and effort put into properly diagnosing and fixing my truck!!

This place is awesome, great customer service, they took me in right away and were able to find what punctured my tire and didn’t even charge me. I’ll definitely bring my car back here for any tire issue.

Friendly, reasonable, and knowledgeable. Put BFG's on outlaw rims and they assisted in finding the correct lug nuts to fit these specialized rims. Very happy, would return any time.

"I've been a loyal customer at Jack Furriers on Tanque Verde and Bear Canyon for nearly eight years, largely due to the excellent service I received from Lionel. His professionalism and pleasant demeanor always made me feel well taken care of. However, Lionel left over a year ago, and it's clear that the shop's customer service and service quality have suffered in his absence. I've had to raise concerns about the last few services I've received, and though they were minor issues, they shouldn't have been issues at all. The tipping point was when I brought my wife's vehicle in for a simple tire pressure check because the dashboard warning light came on. The mechanic who assisted me didn't seem very enthusiastic about helping, and he checked the tire specs on the door of the vehicle instead of where Mercedes Benz lists the recommended tire pressure. As a result, he over-inflated the tires to 48lbs, causing a noticeable wobble when I drove off. I took the vehicle to the Mercedes dealer's service department, and they found that the over-inflated tire had caused one of the belts to detach, resulting in a poor ride. I had to purchase four new tires, which I likely wouldn't have needed for another six months. I sincerely hope that Jack Furriers can improve their service quality because, until then, I won't be returning as a customer."

Brought two trucks in for alignments they did a great job and this week took in the 5th wheel to get the bearings packed the guys at the counter are wonderful would recommend them to anyone.

Everyone there was friendly and helpful. I had a newer vehicle with an odd sized tire and they went over and beyond to get me set up. They were quick and very resonably priced. I highly recommend this facility.

Had a flat just made it! Got my tire plugged, even got a great deal on two tires I needed, the guys honored my warranty. They were very friendly and were very helpful! I needed air in one tire and the nearby gas station’s air machine was out of service so I took it in and they added air, no problem. The mechanic who helped me recommended that he take a look at it since it was super low on air. He found two nails in the tire that were repairable and they repaired it at no charge! I was really impressed with the service and would recommend this location to anyone on this side of town. Thank you guys!!!

No nonsense maintenance, engine and tire service. They never have tried to finagle me into odd repairs and have given great advice. They fix things quickly and go the extra distance. Very happy with them after decades of great service.

Solid service. Got a nail in a tire, with a slow leak. Lucky for me I was near the Bear Canyon Furrier shop. They fixed it quickly and sent me on my way. I’d definitely go back there for future tire needs.

They would not use the type of oil I requested so I did not use them. I was told they would not use conventional oil yet I had 2 oil changes at the sunrise jack furrier and they were happy to do it. This store is so busy I am sure they didn't want to be bothered ordering the oil. They lost a customer who owns 4 cars and seems to have one in a shop all the time. An update 4 years later. I used Jack Furrier on Tanque Verde for rear brake repair and a blown strut since my initial review. I also used them to install new tires on my Corvette. All that went well even though they were unable to align the car because it was too low for their alignment rack. I thought that I would try again to use them for regular maintenance and again they said they only do synthetic and synthetic blends they even told me that they didn't think conventional motor oil was even made anymore which is absolutely wrong. Went over to Brak Max and they actully use and advertise Valvoline conventional oil if requested. Because I have two older cars that have always used conventional oil I do not want to change what is working. Brake Max did a great job with what I requested so guess who has my business from now on for 4 cars.

Went to get tires balanced rotated and alignment. Told me they couldn’t do an alignment on my truck because the front end was wore out. Went to an actual alignment shop and they said my front end was fine and proceeded to do Alignment. When rotating tires they did not check air pressure of tires and did bother to take the time to update the TPMS location.
