I highly recommend J R Automotive. John quickly diagnosed my engine trouble even walking through the diagnostic codes with me. He then provided a very reasonable estimate for repairs replacing just the faulty parts instead of the whole subsystem. John sent me pictures of the failed part during repair, and had me back on the road in record time. It’s the best experience I’ve had for any automotive service or repair. A wonderful local family owned business.

John and his father are the very best Professional Mechanics I have ever used in my 40 years for car & truck repair. So, I've previously been considered a pretty good Backyard or Shade Tree mechanic. But that was then and now I need a handheld scanner just to figure out what the problem is before I can decide if it's something I can actually fix. Once I know what to fix I usually also know that I can't fix "that" and so the next question is where do I take it? Dealer or Private Repair shop? Well let me make it easy for you... Recommended by an Auto Parts Store, JR Automotive Repair was the best advice I'd been given in a long time. Father & Son shop, John(son) is an electronic whiz and as we all know, electronics is what makes up most cars-n-trucks today. The bottom line: Shop is clean, ez to locate near a major HWY, and the prices are both very fair & competitive. Highly recommend you give this place an opportunity to provide you an affordable solution... I feel you'll be Happy You did!

WOW!! Incredible service! We have found our one- and- only mechanic from now on. My car was overheating late in the afternoon on the way home, and John graciously waited until the tow truck could get my car to his shop. The overheating had been an ongoing problem that I'd been trying to address by adding coolant and a "stop-leak" product. John, in a non-judgmental way, explained (and demonstrated) why that wasn't a good idea, and showed me what to do instead. I had my (incredibly reasonable) estimate by the next morning, and my car was done by this afternoon! He not only fixed the issue, but went ahead and replaced a belt that he noticed was worn, without changing my estimate!! Who does that?? He simply takes pride in his work, and wants to send a car out of his shop in the best shape possible. You can absolutely trust these guys. We won't be going anywhere else from now, and you shouldn't, either! -Trish C, Pflugerville

Got the guy “John” on dash cam telling me how to do some work on my vehicle to reduce some cost, but still got charged 150$ for a service I did myself!!! Then he wants to lie and say he didn’t tell me anything! ITS ON DASH CAM BUD!!! Don’t recommend taking any advice from them!! Lawyers will be involved…

Really nice family owned busines on its second generation. Honest, well run establishment that just happens to be a little hidden. The owner can be reached day or night as he offers his personal cell and is big on communication and making sure everything is understood and fair.
