Randy is a kind, genuine man who treats every customer as if they were good family. I had the opportunity to sit and watch several of his interactions with other customers while I waited and every one, new or old, seemed like they could've been his family. My car, unfortunately, couldn't be fixed for a reasonable price (not his fault, a fault of the car) and as such the inspection and information was not charged. All employees I interacted with beyond Randy were equally as friendly. Wait time was not bad at all. Getting an appointment is extremely difficult, due simply to how popular he and his shop are. If you can get an appointment, do so. You will not regret it.

I got an oil change from Irish Auto for my 2015 F150. I was quoted at $75 a week prior. I dropped off my truck and took an uber to run some errands. When I got back to the shop they had informed me that they had to replace a couple of bolts around the drivetrain and it was a safety concern. I trust their expertise was accurate but I was annoyed that they never got my consent to move forward with the repair. Especially since it now costs $213 for putting in new bolts on top of an oil change. I would have appreciated a phone call and permission to move forward with any unexpected repairs.

Randy and Sam have always taken good care of my dad's truck (his baby before he passed). I made a promise to him that no other mechanic would touch his truck. Now all our other vehicles go there and no where else! They are fair and honest. Reliable and attentive. Great company 🩷

A friend of mine brought their car in to Irish because it was having issues. They fixed it and they didn't even charge them. It was a small issue they found and fixed. How many places are this honest these days? I will use Irish from now on and tell everyone else I know to use them. Hard to find honest people like this. Great job Irish Automotive!

Our 1987 Mini Winnie broke down just outside of Boise with severe fuel starvation problems. We were en route for our dream vacation to the Grand Canyon. Although, Randy told us he was fully booked for a month, he agreed to take a look. Understanding we were stranded, he found the time to further investigate. When it was clear it would not be a quick fix, he agreed for us to leave it with him in hopes some clients would cancel and leave time for further repair. We acquired an alternate vehicle. When we returned 8 days later, not only was our problem fixed, but he repaired other vital issues we were unaware of, voluntarily. Not only did he restore our confidence in our vehicle, he restored our faith that there are still some very wonderful and kind people left in this world and many in Boise! Our Mini Winnie now runs better than it ever has! We made it back home to Seattle without a hitch! Randy and the folks here at Irish Automotive are experts at retro vehicles and really know their stuff! If there was a higher star rating than 5 I’d give it to them!

There good, honest, helpful people in this world and Randy Irish is one of them! Knew the car with 350,000+ miles was close to the scrapyard but it was confirmed as we drove into Boise on our road trip. We called, were told there was no room in the schedule but to come by and they'd look. Randy diagnosed and was so kind... he didn't want to tell us the car was done. We knew it though. He helped us by keeping the car until we could get the title from WA and continue the road trip. He's giving guidance to get it scrapped on the way back through. His whole team were great to interact with and observe. Oh! and the classic/custom cars that people entrust to him and his crew... Fantastic!

I wouldn't take my vehicles to anyone else in the valley. Honest, courteous, and very knowledgeable. My family has depended on Randy, his family and employees for decades and consider them friends. What more can you say?

Highly recommend this place. I go there for my oil changes, and any maintenance. I was tired of other oil change places always trying to sell you something and up charging this or that every time you go. It takes more time than those chain places but it’s 100% worth it. And they always let me know if there’s something else wrong with my car that needs fixed. I am not very knowledgeable about cars so I appreciate having somewhere to go that I know I can trust. They always explain every charge to you and exactly what is going on with your car as well when there’s a problem.

We came to Irish Automotive to get a second opinion on a potential head gasket leak. What was quoted as over $5k from another shop was a simple fix of changing out the coolant. The car has ran amazing and we have been loyal clients of Irish Automotive since. We have now brought our other two vehicles in for repairs and are always impressed by their customer service and fair prices. Above all else we have appreciated their diligence to truly diagnosing the problem, not just running up our bill and "hoping" for a fix like we experienced at other shops. We recommend Irish to all our friends and family. You will not be disappointed in the service and experience you receive.

These guys are awesome, can’t recommend them enough. This was my first experience with a mechanic shop so didn’t know what to expect. They got my old 96 Honda ody running, gave me a very reasonable bill for the work, and told me exactly what I need to do to get the rest fixed myself, because I’m pinching Pennie’s and wanted to do what I could on my own. I spoke with the owner over the phone, Mr Irish, and he sent me off with a running van and a very clear idea of what I need to do now and what I will need. Thanks Irish auto

And so, here we are. I thought that I would take the time to post a well thought out review for Irish Automotive. The people there are magnificent, (especially Sam) beholding great integrity and honesty. I have used other providers but I am particularly pleased with how they handle things. My father was a mechanic and I know enough about cars to create more problems than I solve but I speak some of the language. I could be more specific with the problems that have been addressed but that doesn’t really matter, they are very knowledgeable about every system on your car. You can trust these people, they won’t give you the run around and will probably save you money as well as keeping you safe, your family safe and your wheels on the road.

My car broke down on the interstate outside of Boise while traveling on the road. Irish Automotive was the only mechanic shop in Boise to respond and offer to help us. Sam stayed late after they closed just to look at my car and get it running again so I could continue road-tripping back home. They are so incredibly caring and only want the best for their customers. I 1000% recommend them as they will treat you like real family and truly take care of you.

Seriously. If you aren't taking your vehicles to these guys, you're getting hosed. They don't perform unnecessary work. Amazingly friendly and knowledgable employees/owner. Well worth the weeks wait to get in. Cant say enough good things. And the pups are the sweetest.
