Absolutely horrid. Charged for a rebuild, received an old used transmission that didn't even work. I made him put my original transmission BACK in and it took 2 MONTHS. didn't even fix anything. Absolutely waste of money $2000 flushed down the toilet. Take your car somewhere else, all you will get from Bobby is scammed.

I honestly don't know how he has 5 good reviews so far. It was a NIGHTMARE working with him. My car was brought in on a wrecker and needed an engine flush. I came in to this shop SOLELY based on these good reviews. A week later my husband stopped by the shop to see how things were going since he said it would be ready by then. Bobby told him that he flushed out the engine already and replaced the necessary parts and just needs to check the oil pump and a few other things. My engine was hanging over a drip pan so my husband went over to check it out. The engine clearly hadn't been flushed. Bobby then changed his story saying he flushed the bottom portion of the engine but still needs to do the top. What do you think is happening to the sludge in the top portion of the engine?? That's right kids, it's draining back to the bottom. This raised a red flag with my husband so he asked to see the parts he allegedly replaced. Bobby pointed across the shop and his assistant went over to check but came up with nothing. Once again, the story changed to him not changing the parts yet. My husband, now frustrated and understandably worried, left. Bobby then calls me directly and tells me he was insulted by my husband's questioning and is thinking of telling me to take my car elsewhere. In the spirit of keeping the peace, since I couldn't afford to have another wrecker bring my car somewhere else - I apologized to him and told him I will just deal with it from here on out. In retrospect, I should have taken those red flags and gone to a different shop but I had already gone almost 2 weeks without my car and I was drained. It took Bobby another 2 weeks to figure out the issue. Our warranty was supposed to cover the cost of the repairs but Bobby adamantly refused to work with the warranty company so I had to pay out of pocket up-front and just collect from the warranty company afterwards. However, this meant that Bobby needed to send the warranty company the list of repairs required and they'd provide him with the approval number. I would follow up with him repeatedly to see if he'd called them yet - every time there was a new excuse as to why he hasn't yet. The next thing I know - he's calling me to tell me that he found the issue with my car and is test driving it to make sure it's running fine. He made the repairs without calling my warranty company for approval. This voided my warranty and my warranty company refused to reimburse me back the $2500 I paid to Bobby. Throughout this ordeal Bobby would tell me repeatedly that he hates working with warranty companies. Since I already paid him money up front he had no reason to work with the warranty company and get me reimbursed. Honestly, I hope you learn from my mistake. I was backed in a corner and I feel that he took advantage of that. He was caught in multiple lies and I wouldn't trust him to change my tire.

I really had a good experience here. My car broke down on a Saturday and this was the closest shop open. He helped me push it from a block away into his shop and was able to give it immediate attention. He then kept in contact with me on its progress. He even finished a day early because he went to get a part rather than waiting for it to arrive.
