Good set up and quick service but I was not offered the choice of a patch or plug repair. Turns out that they performed a plug repair at me than the cost of a patch repair at a competitor! It was a Sunday and the competition was closed so to Hood's I went!

I recommend not going unless you want to be surprised with extra fees. When i arrived i asked how much the tire would cost. I was told $65. Which i was ok with. After they put the tire on another person came out and told me i would be charged a extra $15 for disposing of the tire. I told him if i knew that i wouldn’t have got the tire. He tried to tell me i was paying $65 + $15 for a brand new tire. I needed a tire i didn’t care if it was new or used. I have a tire guy on gratiot near statefair that keeps cheap used tires and i get more then my money worths out of them. Unfortunately hadnt called me back until i was getting the tire changed and i couldn’t risk him not being open. We went back and forth for a couple of minutes about it respectfully. Then i told him i would pay $60 off of my card then the rest in cash. He then told me he would only charge me $55 on card because the card reader charges extra as well. So i paid 58.30 on card which only $55 would have went to my payment. Then $15 in cash. I believe he called hisself giving me a discount. The tire i got looks exactly like the one i purchased the next day for $45 on gratiot & statefair area from Melvin. If their tires are going to include a disposal fee they should inform people when they ask for the price. They have it to where not one person does more then one job. But no one there looked new to the job so when someone asks for a price it seems very sneaky of them to not mention the extra $15.

Best. Tire. Shop. Ever. I work about 10 minutes from here and just as I left work I broke my tire. I called them and they had a tire in stock for my Chrysler Pacifica. The price was great $150 for a new or $90 for a used tire. The price alone is worth the visit. I just bought new tires and spent $800 for a set of 4...wish I had known about this place. Even though I live in West Bloomfield I would go out of my way to come here. So besides the amazing price, the employees were so quick and nice. Chris was super friendly and professional. He took great care of me. They do not have a waiting area, so you just sit in the car, while they fix your tire. It was unbelievably quick! I barely had time to get upset about my bad luck because they had me on my way. I was there 21 minutes !They were open until 6pm. I highly recommend this place, if you are in an emergency or are just ready to get new tires. Shop Local!

I'm always met with courtesy, friendly, helpful people. They're always willing to help you. I like the fact that no matter how many questions I ask, they're more than willing to answer. Definitely would recommend 👌🏾 👍🏾 5 stars 🌟 for sure. It's the only place I'd get tired from.

Talk about great customer service, well organized tire repairs and truly motivated and well-directed management is at this location. I've used this place and made it a necessary location for tire repair for my sons as they are maturing in their careers. This is my go to place for any tir repair. I encourage you to visit the location and enjoy it's great service and well oiled, and professional management.

Went here years ago before they expanded into the lot next door. I left my car in the lot late one night and they fixed it before I could even call them to tell it was there the next day. I’ve been back since then. They’re nice, fast, affordable, and reliable. I have recommended them to anyone who will listen and everyone has come back to tell me how good it was. A business I can stand behind for real.

Definitely the best tire shop in Detroit! My gf basically blew a tire and Mr Hood and the team waited for us to roll down the street instead of closing for the day. He even found us as we were otw and started following us to make sure we arrived safe. Great price on 2 tires and very fast service. Very respectful group of guys working there.

Family. Hood’s Tires is reliable, thorough, friendly and caring. You don’t see businesses like this very often. If you have tire troubles come to Hood’s and get your tires fixed. Make sure you visit on Friday if you can because Friday is “cake” day!! I think my favorite thing about Hood’s was how welcoming they made us feel (and the cake was a close second!!!)

I'm torn; on the one hand the service was quick, friendly, efficient, and well-priced. I did call ahead for a price so they couldn't charge anything different. On the other hand, an employee brazenly stole my credit card information right in front of me. After getting my tire patched, the gentleman asked how I was going to pay. I was paying with a card, he took me over to the handheld machine and tapped my card. I was standing next to him, and watched the transaction go through. After the transaction had been approved, he asked for my zip code. I told him, and he wrote that down on the back of his copy of the receipt. I thought that was odd. Next, he quickly looked at the card's CVV code and wrote that down, then flipped the receipt over to hide the numbers. I signed and walked away, confused. I was blown away that he had written these down so brazenly right in front of me, part of me assumed it was for a legitimate reason. But I haven't been able to come up with any reason he would need those numbers, after the transaction had been approved, handwritten. I froze the card immediately. Would I go back? Yes, but I'll surely be paying cash.

First and last time coming here. A straight scam. Got a tire and caught a flat the same day. Then was told they could repair it for an extra $30. A straight disgrace.

Neighborhood Tire shop. Efficient Reasonable and very organized. Woke up to a flat on a Sunday, checked for Hoods hours and it said they’re open @10am. Literally slow rolled down to them and sat outside the iron gate got there about 9:30am said I’ll just wait….looked up after about 5 minutes and here comes the owner and his workers like come on ma’am pull in! Thank you for all you do!!
