Most trust worthy shop in Greensboro. Only place I feel comfortable taking any of my cars. Wayne will look out for you like family hence why he has such a loyal following. Jason at the desk is awesome and super personable as well. Couldn’t say anything bad about these guys if I tried

Took my car here for 5+ years. Returned twice for overheating issues that were not fixed. They told me it "might be a head gasket issue" but because they don't trust any machine shops in all of Greensboro, and my "best bet was to scrap" my car (valued at $9k with less than 150k miles on it) or part it out and they would be happy to do that for me. They also told me that the repair would be more than the value of my car even though they didn't know the actual issue? I also wasted over $350 to leave without a diagnosis. Took my car to Oakley's Auto Worx and they had the head gaskets repaired, there was a minor warp. 4,000 miles later and it's still driving great, I get better gas mileage now as well. If I didn't have a mechanic in the family I easily could have ended up without a car and out a lot of money. This is predatory business practice and I won't be back.

Dropped my truck off in the morning and had it back by the afternoon. Staff was friendly and fast. My father has been working with Hodge for I don’t know how long. Couldn’t recommend this garage enough. Support local business like them, they deserve it!

Got a diagnostic on my car for having the engine light on and they charged me for it ($57) and didn’t inform me that they were going to charge me for it. I’ve had a diagnostic done for free and thought it was the same. Then turns out they couldn’t fix my car and they sent me off to the dealership to get it fixed. I can’t even use the diagnostic they gave me and have to pay for a new one elsewhere. Terrible service

I could not be happier with my experience taking my car here. The whole team worked around my needs and my ability (and lack thereof) to leave my car at the shop for an extended time. They were very honest in their assessment telling me it would either be a $50 part and an hour of labor or a $300 part and 12 hours of labor (thank goodness it was the former!). I just wish I had found them sooner (like when I lived right up the road from them).

I had a great experience today at hodge repair. I had an issue with my 2004 jeep a c not blowing cold. Wes took it in at 8 0 5 am He had it cooling great by 9 1 0. I was impressed greatly by his expertise and knowledge of my vehicle. I waited in the office and had a great conversation with Jason Brown the office manager. They were very helpful and super courteous to me. I highly recommend these good folks for any repairs you may need. Go on by and see them and tell them Mayodan Man sent you. They were honest, friendly, and very prompt! Before they diagnosed my issue, they told me it might take a couple of weeks before they could work on it, but ended up being able to fix it same day. I can't speak for the cost compared to other mechanics, but considering the improvement to my car, it was well worth it!

I had to change my 5 star review to a 3. I look my RX300 for a check engine light which proved to be the thermostat. I asked to get the thermostat replaced and figured I would get the water pump and timing belt done as well. I was quoted a price for all three service by the lead mechanic/ manager. Before paying for the repairs , I was give a verbal confirmation that all the work was done, including the thermostat. A few day later the same check engine light code came on again, so I too it back to the Hodge. The manager, reset every code and told me to bring my suv back if the check light came back on. I to the suv in for third time for the same problem. Jason calls me later to tell the suv needs a thermostat and it was not replace when I first brought it in. I describe their tech that told 3 times the thermostat was replaced. During my first visit I gave the service manager the report from Autozone, show the thermostat issue. This was the main reason it took it to Hodge. So I was very upset to hear that my RX300 never got a thermostat, even though the manager and mechanic told me it was done. The service manager wrote up the work order when I first registered my vehicle for service. Also he was the person I spoke with when the check engine light came back on. He gave some excuse that did not make sense. The third time is when Jason told me the thermostat was never done. I find it inexcusable to let a client come in asking for the checking light to be confirmed and fix thermostat issue, only to get an up sell and still not fit the initial problem. The said part, is the mechanic lied in my face multiple times in the same conversation. On top of that I gave repeat business. I did not get a discount when I had the do thermostat work they lied about. The manage never apologized or had mechanic apologize. I am not happy with the way I was treated, even though I was a repeat customer. The shop does a lot of business and maybe I just happen to catch them on an off day, but for them not to make it right and apologize was unacceptable.

Wes went above and beyond to diagnose my truck. He even brought in a transmission specialist at no extra charge, researched my warranty, recall notices, and service advisories (which he printed out for me). Additionally, he pointed me in the right direction if I wanted to try to get GM to cover the repair which might have worked had I not decided just to go and get a new car before it was too late to trade it in. I would also like to point out that he knew that I was a travel nurse who would be moving on to another state in a month. They totally could have screwed me over knowing that it would have been too difficult for me to have any recourse living in another state, but they didn't. In fact it was quite the opposite in spite of knowing that they would not be able to get any further business from me. If I lived here permanently then they would be my go-to people for any work I needed done on my car. That says a lot coming for me because I don't believe I have ever trusted a mechanic before.
