Mike either is a scammer or doesn’t know what he’s doing. Don’t know about the other techs though. Meter showed 47% light coming through the window, which is legal in NC (35% is the darkest it can be) and he failed the inspection for my girlfriend’s vehicle. After confronting him via phone and listen to him word salad for a bit and fail to even explain what reading would make the vehicle legal, his only reaction was to force us to challenge. $30 isn’t a lot of money, but instead of taking his “discount on the next one” I’ll just take the car elsewhere. Men, don’t send the women in your life here, they’ll get taken advantage of. Unfortunate. For those that don’t know, the lower the % of tint the darker it is. This reading would make the tint on the vehicle 53%, which is entirely legal in NC. Still failed the inspection, stole our money. I hope a manager or owner sees this and moves on from this incompetence.

I had them do a pre purchase used vehicle inspection. They said all was well, filled up one tire that was a little low. A month later that tire is going low again, I filled it up in case it was a fluke. Month after that, took it in to the store and have to get that repaired, plus my rear brakes are running super thin and need replaced. It was a cheap inspection, but I'm paying for it now. I can't speak for their other services though.

I have been at Hocutts couple of times with my car repair needs and have no doubt to say these folks care. Service and attention to the job is done right. Honesty and integrity is profound quality that they exibit in their dealings with all of their customers. I am highly satisfied with their service and pricing and would recommend to every one to hive them a try. Small local business with very reasonable price and customer first attitude.
