Honestly this place is the best. They are always so genuinely helpful, and they go out of their way every single time to find a solution to your cars problem. Everyone here works super hard and it doesnt go unnoticed. Best shop in Duluth in my opinion

Very fast and friendly service! On a trip to Duluth my in-laws made the unfortunate mistake of putting gas in their diesel truck. Luckily we noticed before he started it. We called Henrickson Auto Repair and they recommended a tow truck who got to us within 15 minutes, and when we got to their shop they got to work immediately and started draining the tank. The shop had our truck up and running by the end of the day. So grateful for their quick work and their willingness to help us!!

I'm sad the service at this shop has plummeted so fast and far! Brought my Subaru there for years and loved 'em. The past three times there has been very poor communication, no phone calls or updates, and multiple 5:30 pm calls saying they "didn't get a chance to look at it yet". This last visit I called the day before to confirm they had time to take care of my car, and *still* I had to call them at 4 pm for them to tell me they hadn't checked it out yet. What's the purpose of making an appointment? What a waste of my time. I hope the old manager comes back.

Used to think highly of this place. Not anymore. I booked a appointment over a month ago just for them to not even get to my car. Saying they wouldn't get to it till next week. How am I supposed to work and get places till then? How about you make due on your promises of getting the car in and out the same day when someone plans an appointment a month out. You had time to make room for it. Beyond disappointing. Didn't even get a call either. I had to call them myself. I'll take my business somewhere else.

Did not repair what I brought vehicle in for. My exhaust had fallen apart from rust. They discovered an issue with my Serpentine Belt and replaced that. After having the car for a day, I called and talked to someone on day two and reminded them I brought it in to fix the exhaust. Picked up the vehicle today and the exhaust is still hanging there.

Thought that I had had a great experience here until I was on the side of the road for the better part of the day with a flat tire a couple weeks after my van was at Hendrickson. I had brought my vehicle in because I had bad shaking at the wheel when I got above a certain mph and I was told that my tire rod ends needed replacement badly. I was told over the phone that I may also need an alignment after they replaced the tire rod ends - but they’d let me know before handing me the bill so I’d be up to date on all that was done to my vehicle. I was then told in my final call with Hendricksons that I DID NOT need an alignment and that my van was ready to be picked up. Awesome! Flash forward to my side road the road morning and afternoon just outside of Bemidji - after an extreme struggle involving many different tools and helpful strangers we managed to get the tires lug nuts off to put our donut spare on to make it to the nearest tire shop (Hendricksons had put the lug nuts on to near impossible tightness). After bringing in the van and inspecting the flat tire it was obvious what the cause was to the flat. Both front tires inner edges had worn down to the wire. Meaning - I had been riding down the road for weeks on tires that were tilted inward - rubbing my tires down to nothing. What caused this? A severe misalignment of my tires - which could have been avoided if Hendricksons had given me the alignment that I NEEDED before getting back on the road. No one got hurt and we didn’t end up as stranded as we could have - but it could have gone much worse. I have filed paperwork and spoke with the folks at Hendricksons about this issue and have provided them the paperwork from the tire shop that helped us that day providing proof the specific degree of how misaligned the tires were. I believe I am entitled to compensation for the alignment that I had to pay the Bemidji tire shop - as I should have never left Hendricksons without one and been put in danger on the road. I am awaiting being put in contact with the owner of the shop and I was told that no one is allowed to authorize a refund/compensation besides the owner. It has been over a month now.

Best auto shop! They are honest, helpful, and kind. Very reasonably priced. Good atmosphere. I will definitely be going here from now on for oil changes and any car issues. I highly recommend them!!!

I've had great service and communication from this shop in the past, but lately we've had some work done and haven't received any communication on when the car will be ready, etc. It also seems they have been booking more work than they can handle which leads to cars sitting there for much longer.

My experience with this shop was extremely disappointing, and ended up costing me 300 dollars with no work done on my vehicle. To start, I called this shop and set up a time to bring an old van in for some work. They agreed to check it out and I had it towed to the shop and put on a lift on a Wednesday. We walked around and checked out the vehicle, and discussed what needed repair and they told me an approximation of cost. I agreed to their assessment and they said they would work on the car the following Friday. I left the shop feeling pretty good. The next week passed and then the next after that. On Monday, the 3rd week after I had dropped it off, and the 2nd after they had said they would work on it, I called them to see how it was going. I had assumed they simply wrote my phone number down wrong as I had not heard anything from the shop. I called them at noon on my lunch break at work. They answered and I asked about my car and the guy said he needed to talk to a mechanic quick and put me on hold. When he returned to the phone, he said they didn't know what work I wanted done on the car, they didn't have any notes on the car, the car needed to be moved as they wouldn't be able to get to it and I would need to set up a time to get it seen. I told them I had been promised work 3 weeks prior and that they were already supposed to be working on it 2 weeks prior. He said someone promised me work and then went on vacation and left them overbooked and they needed it moved. I was at work, very surprised, but i said I would need to make some calls but I was at work all day. I asked why they hadn't called me and told me sooner and he said they would've called if I hadn't called. I went back to work and finished my day, went home and had a voicemail at 1:30pm and 5:15 pm saying I needed to move my car that day by 6:00 or I would be towed and be stuck with another towing bill. I called them back and got told the same thing, they were sorry they promised work they couldn't get to. They made no effort to make it right. TLDR; 1. I towed my car there for a scheduled assessment. 2. They agreed to work on my car. 3. They made no contact for 3 weeks until I called. 4. They told me i had to move my car, that they didn't know what to work on, and that I had to move it or it would be towed. I was given less than 6 hours to move my car from a shop that agreed to work on said car. Don't make this mistake. Look elsewhere. I'm out 300 dollars, and my vehicle for 3 weeks for nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Not honest mechanics. My spouse brought in our vehicle because it kept shutting down after taking it on longer trips. They said our battery was bad, although we replaced it less than 2 years ago. After taking it to the Mazda dealership we figured out that it needed a fuel pump replacement, nothing to do with the battery or alternator. Not sure if they couldn't figure out the problem or didn't feel like taking on the responsibility so they decided to charge my spouse for a $250 battery or that they thought he looked like someone they thought they could take advantage of, or both.

So far so good. Called due to acceleration/throttle issues and they got me in within an hour to take a look at it. They were very straightforward and honest which I appreciate. Very nice, informative and friendly. Also, super comfy chairs in the waiting room.

Amazing experience! We were about to head home to the Twin Cities and discovered a screw in our tire. Randomly found this shop and just stopped in. They patched the tire quickly for cheap and were extremely friendly throughout the whole process! Highly recommend.

Henrickson Auto was very helpful and kind when I experienced a few car problems in a row. They were able to get my car in quickly and fixed it for a fair price. They were also very helpful when I had to call multiple times with advice on getting it towed and assessing if it needed to be looked at urgently. They went above and beyond and worked on it over the weekend! I highly recommend them and am very grateful!

Honestly the best car service I've dealt with in Duluth. Sure, mostly everyone is nice, but these guys go above and beyond! I'll probably never go anywhere else if I can help it now that I've dealt with them. They are friendly, they care about their customers, and really just go out of their way to be helpful. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend!

I don't know anything about auto repair, so it was important to me to find a mechanic I could trust. Henrickson Auto Repair has been the perfect fit for my repair needs. They have saved the day several times for me with one of my older trouble vehicles. They have found ways to save me money, and also, their diagnostic direction has always matched up with the advice from my more mechanically inclined friends. Henrickson has totally gained my trust. From simple oil changes to major repair, I don't go anywhere else.

Last summer I was changing my flat tire on the side of the road by their shop and one mechanic came out and offered to pull it into the shop and patch the tire for free on his own time because it was after business hours. Speaks to the character of the people who work here. I was very appreciative and will look to them for further service.

My son had a bad first experience from them. I do not recommend them at all & was telling my son to pull his vehicle out of there as soon as possible. My son brought his car in to get a part fixed & they charged him 3 times & released the car to him 3 times to have it still not run after we had it towed out of there. The car ran fine when my son took it there but had a fluid leak. They do not know what they are doing with a Subaru.

Great place. I was worried with the new tires they would do the alignment whether it needed it or not, but they said it drove fine and didn't need it. Very nice to know it is aligned and they could have fixed it on the spot easily. Great service and prices
