I would highly recommend Halls Tire and Auto. Last week I was at Ourisman Toyota for a recall repair and got an oil change as well but they did not put the drain plug back in properly. It was very loose and about halfway out. Stopped in Halls in the morning and I was in and out in half an hour. They fixed the drain plug, topped of the oil, and cleaned up the spilled oil all for only $20. I will definitely be returning for all maintenance and services in the future.

Great experience with this shop. I got misdiagnosed for a faulty torque converter at riverside auto and a faulty transmission mount. Mr hall Greg and all the staff diagnosed my car correct an and were more than honest with me!! Great shop!!

Honest auto shop. They seem to do great work, and the only place I've been where they actively talked me out of an alignment I probably didn't need. While they might be a hair more expensive than some of lowest places around, their work seems to actually reflect it.

Had a slow tire leak. These guys were fast, efficient, super friendly and very reasonable price. Really fantastic stuff - well done!

These guys rescued me big time! I was traveling through Richmond the day before Thanksgiving and hit a deer that cracked and dislocated my front bumper. I happened to be staying in the hotel across the street from them so I drove over and asked if they could somehow rig it so that I could drive back to Charlottesville in time for Thanksgiving. They were so kind and set aside their other jobs and had me back on the road in an hour. I am so grateful!

Can’t recommend Hall’s Auto enough. I work right by their shop, so it is convenient to drop it off before/pick up after a work day. They are so kind and always offer a ride to/from work since I’m so close by. They do great work and are affordable. I’ve only had positive experiences here!

So today I took my 2020 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid with 64,600 miles on it to Hall's and quite literally told Gary and Vince to replace the brakes as I felt the car could not be far, at the most 10,000 miles, from needing a brake replacement anyway. I also asked about replacing transmission and differential fluids to which Gary told me to go to the dealer, he wasn't comfortable taking those tasks on. They could have very easily met my request to replace the brakes and I would have been satisfied to have spent $800-$1000 doing so but was told no need, probably until early 2025. I have to say (positive) shock comes to mind. 2 years after moving from the DC area to Richmond and trying to find a local servicing garage that didn't make you feel like taking a shower after talking to them I found Hall's, amazing! Oh, to put icing on this cake, last week I brought my wife's Audi Q5 to have her brakes checked and again I was told NO NEED. A RARE FIND!

Vince at the counter was extremely helpful and most importantly honest. Didn't try to upcharge or sell me something I didn't need. Will be coming here next time my car needs work.

This's a great auto service store. It seems it has been run for over 70years. My first time being there got some air, which is free. And this time replaced my flat tire. I think the price is fair, they're very friendly and professional. Also replaced my key battery for free. I'd like to be back again if I need other auto services!

Great spot with a family owned vibe. They offer drop off based on their lot capacity so you don't have to get up so early which was a godsend for someone who works late nights. Timely and professional. To the point and easy to work with. Would highly recommend based off of my experience and will be using them in the future for sure.

Had state inspection done. Driving home I came to stop at a red light and I heard a horrible grinding on the roof then a loud crash on my windshield. Whoever inspected my car (and mind you all these guys were smoking cigarettes, listening to metal and in general goofing around while working on cars.. left a very heavy iron razor scraper tool on the roof of my car that slid forward and cracked and smashed my windshield when I came to a stop. I have no idea how this place has gotten good reviews .. totally negligent

Had to tow my car here after another mechanic did a poor job repairing it. These guys were able to get my car in quickly and even let me know that my safety inspection was coming due. Something the last mechanic also missed. They fixed my issue (car overheating) and educated me on what could happen going forward with it. Great work and service.

Hall' Tire and Auto Setvice Company is awesome! They are extremely trustworthy, and I would absolutely recommend Halls to anyone!! The cost of servicing my vehicle is the cheapest I know in Richmond. I think their honesty is why I am so happy!
