From the terrible customer service, to the suffocating smoke smell in the lobby to the constant attempts to up-charge me for random unneeded services, I wish I could give less than one star. I felt extremely unwelcome and was ignored from the time that I got there to the time that I left. Normally I wouldn’t even leave a review, but it was to the point where I felt as if the only reason I wasn’t “kicked out” is because I was there to spend money. In fact, as soon as I swiped my card, the employee at checkout turned around and left before I could even ask him where my car was. If you’re a person of color, DO NOT bring your vehicle to Grease Monkey. You’ll be treated like you’re invisible AT BEST. Spend your money elsewhere! It’s not worth it at all.

For some reason I've been having my car serviced here for 3 years. As part of their complimentary top off service, a technician checked my tire pressure. He informed me that one of my tires had 63 psi on arrival. I had a tire issue a couple months back, but hadn't seen an indicator light since it had been fixed. After he fixed the fictional issue, I get back in the car and the tire pressure light is now on. When I brought it up, he INSISTED it must have been on when I got there. His confidence was cringe. I am going out of town, I looked at every light before I let him in the car. Two guys proceed to plug some machine into my tires and claim a sensor must have gone bad the exact moment my car was in the bay. Now "none of my tires read" I pulled a tire gauge out of my glove compartment to check them myself, but they "helped me" instead, ensuring me they were all 33 psi, the sensor was just bad. All is well. Light still on. I get to my driveway to check my tires myself and they are 34 32 35 and 37. I let 3 out filled one and that light magically went off. Thankful to have the car back in the shape it was when I arrived, and no longer panicking over a sensor issue that doesn't exist. This experience is my fault because this is the same shop that told me my car had plenty of oil in it when the light came on one day and then added over 3 quarts to it a week later.

This morning, my husband and I arrived at Grease Monkey with an urgent issue—my tire was leaking air, and with my husband rushing to catch a flight, I was left to handle it on my own. Unfortunately, changing a tire or fixing a leak isn’t in my skill set. Anthony greeted us right away and immediately took action. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and understanding. In less than 15 minutes, he removed a nail from the tire and had it repaired. The service was quick, efficient, and very reasonably priced! The woman at checkout (whose name I didn’t catch) was also lovely and made the process even smoother. I’m so grateful for their help and hassle-free service. Highly recommend!

Extemely fast service and customer service is fantastic! The staff are absolutely wonderful and they treat you like family. They are great at expertly diagnosing issues with all my vehicles (old and new) and also let me know of pending issues before they become problems. Their prices are also lower when compared with estimates from other shops. They even guarantee completion within an estimated time of service with a countdown timer in the waiting room. This is a model for all service shops everywhere.

I visited the 2001 Pisgah Church Rd location on 11/8/2024 for an inspection, oil change, and tire rotation. I chose this location because of its high rating on Google Maps reviews, but I was surprised to have a partially negative experience. The staff was courteous, and the inspection was completed. However, I was disappointed to find that the oil life gauge wasn’t reset and, with the windshield washer fluid light still on, it was immediately clear that they had not fulfilled their "Courtesy Fluid Top Off." Attention to detail is crucial with vehicle maintenance, and these oversights are concerning. Additionally, while the floor mats appeared to be slightly vacuumed, they were placed back haphazardly, which detracted from the overall service experience. On top of that, the credit card machine was not working on 11/8 when I dropped off my vehicle and again on 11/10 when I picked it up, which was inconvenient and created unnecessary hassle.

Easy access, state inspections. They vacuum your car AND check/ fill tire pressure! Nice folks, VERY relaxed atmosphere!. Got 2 cars inspected there this month!

I like this place. It's comfortable, not greasy smelling. Service people are professional and inviting. I feel comfortable trusting them with my vehicle, and now that my son is driving and has his own car, this is where I took him for his first car service.

I would encourage folks to watch them while they are working on your vehicle. The scope of work for a state inspection does not require anything under the hood for a 23 year old work truck. I have a great mechanic, and just needed the inspection. I told them I didn't want my windows cleaned or my floor mats vacuumed, just the inspection and they got super defensive. I would also encourage anyone to do their own pre-inspection at home so you know of any lights out, if your wipers are good, etc. I don't like having to fight them over unnecessary up-charges for things that I did not request or are not needed for the inspection. Their response of "it's our job" is out of touch. You should always only perform services that the customer requests. They really take advantage of folks not knowing the basics about their car.

Updated Review: I paid almost $150 for a Synthetic Oil change back around December that I was told would last for a whole year. I was skeptical, but it was too late the car was already halfway through the oil change when I was told why the price was so high. We are barely 6 months in and 6k miles and the vehicle was already low on oil. Never doing that again, almost ruined my engine.

Went there Sunday morning to see if they would put on my new coolant reservoir in my 07 Volvo s80. The gentleman that helped me, who was a really nice guy, swapped out the reservoir in less than 10 min. When I asked him where to pay, he said don’t worry about, have a nice day. I never got his name but he got breakfast and coffee for being so kind.
