If you want someone to find a list of things they wanna charge you for to work on your car there are so many places you can go to get nickeled and dimed. If you wanna get a quality inspection in a reasonable amount of time and get your paperwork for the DMV so you can get on with your life then come to Grease Monkey

It’s scam. They will try to upcharge you for everything and add hidden fees. Also they are extremely unprofessional and can’t be trusted. I went to the one on wt Harris and statesville and got into a dispute with the worker who cashed me out. He clearly couldn’t not add, and when I questioned him on excessive price he replied “ all I do is read the computer” this is the level of competency you have to deal with using them. Well I had to break it down to him with my calculator for him to understand they are overcharging me. Last time I’ll ever go. Also you can get an oil change for less than half the price they charge less than 1000 feet from there. So they are overpriced, deceitful, and disrespectful.

Lackadaisical and incompetent. Forces people out of their car then mixes up who's car belongs to who. Takes a hour for one oil change and waiting room is cold and uncomfortable so will not be returning even though it's literally 2 mins away from my house

This location was just okay, I told them I wanted an oil change and paid $100 and NO fluid check tire pressure or anything was included. South Carolina experience was better!!

I paid for vehicle inspection and was not informed that it “Failed” only after payment without an explanation. The manager on duty was disrespectful and cold in disposition. I normally go to the Northlake location but won’t going forward.

Took my car in for rotor and brake change. The price was Excellent. I’d gotten quotes at 2 other places and this was the best by far. I had a few issues with my sensors but mechanic Keith Sinclair stayed late to make sure the job was done correctly. My wife comes here to get her oil changed often. Definitely recommend their service!

Went to get my car inspected at the last minute, and I was greeted with a positive attitude and helpful staff. I'll definitely be coming back to get my oil changed soon!

Experience was okay. Very efficient. I came for oil change only. It bothered me that tech went into my glove compartment to pull out cabin air filter to upsell/offer the service to replace without asking first.

My mother just got a tune done on Monday they replaced sparks plugs filters and fluids there was no previous check engine light now her check is on and flashing took it to auto zone and the error state two cylinder are misfiring. I will pursue to get this rectified.

Cuidado!! I usually bring my car to this place for an oil change, but the same staff is never there. One of the mechanics wanted me to change the gas cap on my car when it doesn't even have any problems, and according to him it's why it will break down in the future. I understand that prevention is always good, but some only do it to get money from the customer. I don't think that's honest.

Got oil all over the driver seat door and seat, center console, and floor mats. Stained driver seat and console. Staff was understanding but frankly an error like that is unacceptable. Would have been cheaper to go to the dealership and they would have treated the car with more care, too. Only reason it's not 1 star is because the staff were apologetic and respectful about it.

First off this happened sept 24th 2024 I am 8 months pregnant! My car battery died in the parking lot and the manager ( a white guy i forgot his name) did two test. One was for the battery and the other is for the alternator. He told me he couldnt check the alternator without a new battery (lie#1) after doing what he had to do to complete the two test he came to the conclusion that i need a alternator because he said no matter how many batteries i get the alternator will not let the battery hold a charge or something like that. Im trusting his word because i dont know anything about alternators except that a car can run off the alternator if you disconnect the battery which lets you know if the problem is the battery or the alternator...anyway knowing that i decided to not go through with his plans and i asked for my old battery to be put back in. I then asked if he can jump start it. He proceeds to tell me he cant because it wont hold the charge (lie #2). So i then call my mother who owns one of those hand held battery jump starters. She gets to grease monkey where ive been sitting for an hour now and jumps my car with her battery jumper and my car cranks up!....so now i know the manager was bluffing when he told me my battery wont hold a charge... just WOW.. So i decided to go to a wholesale car battery company who i asked to test my battery along with the alternator test which is a small machine that you plug into the inside of your car that tells you the levels of your alternator after turning on and off your headlights to complete the test. The machine said CLEAR AS DAY "Your alternator is within specifications". So now i know the grease monkey manager was trying to scam me into getting a new alternator and a new battery. i am aware this location has the same owner as the south blvd location and i dont know who but someone needs to have a real long talk with the manager at the old statesville location because if he did this to me who knows who else hes trying to get over on! Update: Its Nov 1st now & my car is running absolutely fine and there is nothing wrong with my alternatora

I will always recommend this location to anyone in the area. The professionalism is outstanding. If they are able to give you a time frame on service, it is right. The service manage Darren is definitely an asset to the location and the company. Thank goodness they are located there. Thanks guys.
