I went in for my check engine light turning on. Unfortunately, it was my converter and it was a hefty price tag, but there was a man named Joseph working who was very kind, patient, and explained everything to me. He also let me know that he was aware of the price tag, and provided me with a discount. When picking up my vehicle, there was a new manger who was also very kind! It’s always nerve racking for me when it comes to my car, just hoping I don’t get scammed or talked into something I don’t need so I’m just thankful these guys made me feel so comfortable!

Beware of the Goodguys location at Brawley & Herndon, especially if you are a woman. They replaced my starter but once I had picked up my car, the audio system wasn't working so I took it back in. The manager, Louie Gonzales, was going to charge me $220 to even look at the car, insinuated that the audio system might have not been working before they worked on the car, and mansplained/talked down to me the whole conversation. I had to take my car to another Goodguys location (Blackstone near Dakota) where the problem was solved in 10 minutes and a quick reset, literally a push of a button.

Crappy service . Had vehicle all day for oil change and tire rotation. Didnt rotate tires after 6+ hours. Asked to see where coolant leak was coming from and couldn’t even find problem. 0 stars if i could. Would not recommend

Good shop for routine maintenance on your car. Employees are nice and try to get you in and out in a timely manner. Louie, one of the managers, provides excellent customer service.

First time customer. Terrible, terrible service. Dropped off my vehicle Saturday early morning. Called me by end of day to notify me it was not done. Asked if I could leave it over the weekend which I okayed. It is Monday afternoon and they still are not finished. It’s a coolant flush. Ridiculous, it is a 45min job. Never going back. They did not even do the job. They will be hearing from me.

Simple oil change so not too much to say however the good thing was, I was aware of my vehicles condition so, I was able to share what I was already aware of but, goodguys did share with me a few things that needed to be addressed (basuc maintenance) without upselling me.... so all in all a good experience

The N. Brawley location was excellent in helping me get my car fixed. It died on me and I had it towed there the same day. They fixed all of the problems and kept me up to date all along the way (especially Louie), only took a day and half to get all the work that needed to be done to get it running again.

The oil change got done in a timely manner as well as tire rotation. We are disappointed that the communication is all done digitally. An email sent for recommended repairs and no call when the truck is ready. A courtesy call would be preferred. We did not get the recommended repairs because we did not know about them until after we pickup the vehicle.

Took a tire to them that was under warranty because it developed a bubble in the tire. It’s a tire we bought from them. They didn’t have a new one in the store so we had to wait 7 hours for the new one because the first replacement came and was defective. After ALL THAT we still had to pay $70 to mount balance and throw out the old tire even though it was UNDER WARRANTY and their defective tire in the first place. Will NEVER buy another thing from this store ever and will never recommend them to anyone else.

Worst place to take your car for repairs! My car has been here for almost a month now and at first they tried to overcharge me $1,000 for repairs. Then they lied and told me they spoke to my warranty company about something wrong with my alternator and my warranty company said they never spoke to them . They keep telling me my car is almost ready but every time I call to ask the status of my car they keep giving me excuses. Obviously they don’t know what’s wrong with my car or their mechanics are dumb. I only took my car here because it was the closest place from where my car broke down and I had to get it towed. Please do not bring your car here for any kind of engine repairs . Worst experience I’ve ever had and I will never come here again for anything ever!

I had a tire repair and warranty was goodguys. I've moved, called ahead to check bcuz 4th of July Fri afternoon. I started my car, rolled down windows while loading up my things, turned it off waiting for AAA to come about 5 minutes cut from 40 originally. He takes us, my car & I to goodguys but he dropped my car in the prky lot, on a flatbed for when shop had room plus expecting me.. After that it was a well oiled scam as I'm told that my battery was dead, wouldn't turn over. I knew I started b4 AAA & knew exactly where & close to when I purchased thebattery & I changed it myself and my Mom's just last year and 1st time too. I was raised in a Autobody shop and I knew how a honest business owner treated each person and he never once took advantage of any customer, he valued each customer. I was asked for the keys by AAA and he popped hood as I was walking into Good Guys. The nice greeter with the freckles and cleancut guy along with 2 more asking if they need to order the battery & get installed each one asked me as if nobody else asked. I said jump it when done and when they popped hood last time my cable cover on positive side was sticking straight up. You should have seen the tow driver and GG employee look at each other as one said like a mischievous 14 yr old said wow, I wonder who did that eyes wide as saucers. I was ashamed of auto people there sharing the spotlight with a reputable group of people to serve the public along with that AAA driver and I pray their sisters and mothers escape abuse and scams from these men. I went to a reputable auto parts store and they checked my battery right in front of me and shocking, GOOD BATTERY SHOWS UP! Being raised in the auto business I knew about battery testers but I was still giving your store the benefit of the doubt only bcuz I don't start my car every day but nothing has changed except for GG quote was almost double from anywhere else around. My car starts every time! 4th of July too! Sad really, kinda like you guys were shopping for fireworks and collecting any way you can. UPDATE: I am still driving my car on this very same battery that GOOD GUYS tried to say that it was a dead battery. This good guys is off of Herndon, North West area. I have used Good Guys and will continue but I suggest that if you question a replacement or repair on your vehicle find someone you trust to ask about it and female customers are the most played by people like this. Yes it has been awhile but I feel strongly about abuse of any kind but I am seeing abuse in the elderly and now the 2 men who tried to get me to buy another new battery to replace the battery that is still good in my car. They are sad humans and what comes around, we all know that it's going to come back on you. Everyone should be able to trust these people who you call on for services and battery checks should always be done in front of the customers along with everything else that is a possibility for question. Sad but most of the Autobody workers are honest and these people make AAA tow drivers and GOOD GUYS come into question when they have a couple of dishonest men to think that they have the right to unhook the battery cable and try to scam me for a new battery. They were not good because they forgot to put the cable cover back on the battery cable. Shame
