I do not recommend Gonzalez Auto Repair. I been going with Javior the owner for the past 2 years. At the beginning it was alright but then I noticed that he was taking advantage of my lack of knowledge with mechanical auto work. The last time I took my 1999 Silverado to repair the knock sensor and shift solenoid I was very disappointed in the outcome. Javior charge me 930 for the repairs and didn’t even fix the issue. When I went to pick up the truck the check engine light was not on but then he told me to drive it 50 miles before I took it to emissions. I did and when I was on the freeway the check engine light came back on and the truck did not want to past the 3 gear. I went back to the shop and told Javior what was the issue and he scan the truck again and the same shift solenoid error appear. I left the truck there for a few days and then he called me saying that the transmission was bad and he will charge me $1600 to repair it, I was done doing business with him so I took my truck with a different mechanic and he diagnose the Issue and said why didn’t Javior let you know that the transmission was bad when he took off the oil pan and saw all the metal shaving indicating that the transmission was bad. Overall bad experience and I will never do business with this guy.

Had what I thought was a long standing transmission problem with my Ford Taurus. They were very honest with me from the time I got the diagnosis to the repair. Turns out I was having a issues with my radiator, and condensor accompanied by a pretty sizable transmission fluid leak. They sent me pictures and updates frequently and even let me drop off my car after business hours to accommodate my work schedule. Very honest and professional. Very fair prices for their quality of work. Definitely recommend.

I am giving this place a 3 because I want to give it the benefit of the doubt. I went to purchase a vehicle they were selling in behalf of a customer. I asked them if they had a Carfax report and they told me I could pull one myself. When I pulled a Carfax report on the vehicle it showed that the last time it was serviced (a year before they were trying to sell it) the mileage was 50000 miles more than the odometer read on the day of sale. Whether this establishment rolled the miles back themselves or whether the customer did, I don't know. Still, if you are going to sell a car, you should at least do your due diligence and make sure that you gather and provide all of the information possible so that you don't implicate yourself. They also said that they were the ones performing all the services for the car for the last two years, but there weren't any reported services from them on the Carfax report. The whole thing seemed fishy.

Worest mechanic ever!!! He fixed my car 3 times and it still had the same problem it had to begin with!!! I spend almost a grand there and they literally didnt fix anything.... The mechanic dosent seem like he knows what he is doing . i had nomore money to spend on trying to fix my car that i had to sell it for parts... Useless......... ***Replying to the comment he made.... His lying its probably another person he screwed over. Because the person he is talking about isnt me ..... I was the one that u said u werent going to charge me the third time i had to come down there for the same problem. But when i picked it up it was still messed up and got charge another 100 bucks.. That brought my total up to 970 dollars that u guys ripped me off. For it an hour later to overheat again.... Than had the nerve to tell me bring it back for a 4th time !!!!for what for u later to charge again when u already toke all my money! still laughing from the response... ******WRONG PERSON!****NOT ME THAT U WROTE ABOUT!

Ran a diagnosis and quoted me $430 for a repair. Went to a different shop and charged me $3 (yes three dollars) vehicle runs great now! Gonzalez Auto told me I needed some extravagant repair, when in reality the issue was a bad spark plug.
