My wife and I have been taking our vehicles to Golbow’s Garage for over 30 years. In that timeframe we have always had positive experiences. We have always trusted their diagnosis of our vehicles’ problems and we have always been provided repair/service options that are clearly explained. Their pricing is also fair. In the last few years I have had several occasions to interact with Scott, who writes service for Golbow’s. Scott has excellent customer service skills and takes the time to answer questions I have had regarding needed service. It is never fun to spend money on car repairs, but the way Scott has treated us during the times our vehicles have been in the shop has made the cost of repairs as pleasant as they can possibly be. If you are in need of a trustworthy and competent automotive repair facility I highly recommend Golbow’s Garage .

A wrecker, driven by Josh, arrived at our home today in response to a GEICO request to help with a dead battery in my 2010 Mazda. Upon arriving he greeted my wife and immediately began diagnosing the problem. He said it was an electrical problem and not a battery issue. He suspected that rodents were attacking the wires under the engine compartment and probably the cause of the electrical outage throughout the vehicle. I was not at home at the time but Josh explained to my wife what he found. I told him to take the car to my regular auto repair facility in Katy. Before leaving he was unable to open the hatch back to remove my wife’s wheel chair. He climbed into the back seat and was able to remove the chair through the front drivers side door for which I was unable to do earlier in the day. Both my wife and myself are grateful for not just his professional display but in particular the personal effort he made to go beyond what was expected. Josh is an exceptional example of what customer service should be. I would recommend Josh to anyone needing towing service and if needed again , I would not hesitate to ask for him by name. Best car repair shop I have ever dealt with. They deserve more than 5 stars. I dealt with Scott Goldbow and he went out of his way to explain everything, kept me updated, and couldn’t have been nicer. His level of customer service was excellent, something that is rare in Houston. I truly felt like he appreciated my business. Goldbows is my go to for any of my car repairs in the future.

Haven’t been in a while but went recently and it was a fast and efficient inspection. (Dude was nice enough to do it even though the posted inspection hours had just ended… I wouldn’t expect that every time, but it was nice of him to accommodate me.)

Josh helped tow my vehicle at home the day after an accident. I was stuck on a work zoom meeting and he still took care of me and my vehicle via phone. No issues or anything. Super helpful and accommodating. Loved my experience. I’ve saved this company’s number for future use and I’ll always ask for Josh from here on out. Lifesaver!

My tow guy thankfully happened to be driving by when my tire unexpectedly blew out in the middle of i10. I’m forever grateful for his help, he handled the situation professionally and with a good sense of humor. I can’t think of a better person to be in the right place at the right time, a million and one thanks to him for saving the day :-)

What a stressful day, muggy and hot waiting on the side of the road for the tow truck. My first surprise was how quickly the truck arrived. I don't know what I was expecting but the gentleman who arrived was a young man named Austin. So professional and kind, he changed my experience from a bad one to a pleasant one, his good attitude made a world of difference .... Thank you Austin and Thank you Golbow's !

My driver, Geraldo, was very nice and professional. He did a real good job on getting the vehicle up on the tow truck and sent away. I have no issue with him as a driver or a person. The issue I have is how much it actually cost for the tow: $125 for the base tow $12 for a "load hook/mileage" fee $21 for a FREAKING fuel charge!! $35 fee to get it moved over because the battery was dead and he needed to use some boards to get slid over. I understand that there was some additional work that needed to be done but $192 to tow something less than 3 mi away is outrageous!!

After calling and explaining the type of vehicle I have, the driver came and said i was quoted the wrong price. I told him not to do the towe and that i told them specifically what type of vehicle it was. He said he would take care of me and did the tow at the agreed upon price. This is the 2nd time this has happened. The first time was a different towing company.

I called to get my truck towed to an auto shop. Within an hour of calling, my truck was at the auto shop. The driver Gerardo was respectful, professional, and knew what he was doing. They communicated with me throughout the process, so I knew exactly what to expect. Overall, the process was simple, quick, and competitively priced. I hope I never need such services again, but if I do I know who to call.

Golbows Garage service just completed a Jasper full Engine replacement on my 2001 Ford Mustang GT. The results were excellent and so far everything is running like it did when I bought it! Shout out to Scott who took care of coordinating the job and a HUGE thanks to the talented mechanics at Golbow’s who brought my baby back to life. Definitely recommended for big jobs if you want it done right! Thank you!

Wonderful, fast and friendly service! Scott and his crew up here at Goldbow's know exactly what they're doing and I don't trust my vehicles anywhere else but them. I even have a warranty on my vehicles from the dealership but I still take my trucks to Goldbow's. Their technicians are top notch and the service department keeps you aware of the progress as the service progresses! They do not try to upsell anything and they are as honest as it gets! There is a huge reason they have been in business this long! Trust me, these guys are one of the last ones out there that you can rely on!

I have insurance through Geico and they found Golbows to tow my car from Katy to Meyerland, I gave crazy instructions because my car shop is closed on Sundays and the Golbow driver had to leave car on side street and give my key to the gas station cashier and he did just as I asked. My repair guy already called and he has the key and my car is parked on the correct street for them to service it Monday when they open!!! Thank you so much Golbow,you have relieved some stress and have one satisfied customer and I’m sorry for my complex request but thanks for obliging!!!

Terrible experience with Joe Stilley. Until recently, my experience with Golbow's has always been a pleasure - from speaking with the young ladies at the front desk to talking with the servicemen working on the vehicles in the back - I have always been pleased with the service and even recommended people to do business with them over the years. However, my recent experience with Joe Stilley was horrible and I will not be back to Golbow's - ever. After recommending I replace several things on my vehicle, I asked that they replace only two necessary components. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle I learned that parts had been replaced without my consent/knowledge/requesting. When I brought this to his attention, he simply apologized, admitted he misunderstood/made a mistake (even told me it was HIS fault that he misunderstood me), brushed it off, and then proceeded to hand me the bill for the full amount (including the service for which I did NOT ask). I was appalled. After trying to understand why I was paying for HIS mistake, he reluctantly gave me a "discount" of $20 for HIS mistake. This is only the first problem. Joe was dishonest when I asked him about the warranty on a major part and when I asked him to provide a receipt for the part I purchased, he was unable to do so because the "computer would not allow it." There are other incidents which occurred during this encounter, but I will keep this post to a minimum. I am very disappointed as I have trusted Golbow's with my vehicle for several years and have spent over $4K with them within the last year. Unfortunately, I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere from now on.

This was my first towing experience and the bar has been set....high! The wait time between the initial call and when the drive showed up was about 20 minutes. Better than reasonable. Initially, I thought my car was going to have to be on the street, which I personally can't stand, but it was able to be parked in the driveway. Exceeded expectations. With this being my first time needing a tow, I had no clue how much this would set me back but my driver have me a tip to check with my insurance and see if my coverage will reimburse. Helpful hint. We even had a bit of delightful conversation after everything was settled. Icing on the cake. Thank you so much for your help and being an exception to the bad rap that tow truck drivers get. James, you ROCK!!!
