Description
When Glenway Chevrolet was forced to close due to GM’s Bankruptcy in 2009 I was trying to decide what to do. Phil and I worked together for over 25 years. I loved our customers and our employees. Our customers told us that closing our dealership would create a huge need for a quality Automotive Service like we had. We wanted to take care of our customers and to bring in our family of employees back to work with us. The day we opened we had 26 customers come to our shop. Now, 14 years later, Mark Ackerman is retired in Georgia and Phil Purkiser is the owner with his wife Jan and son Philip in the business with many long-time employees still working at Glenway. Come by and see Mike Ress, Brad Bass and Philip at the service desk.

Great service always! The whole staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. They always keep you apprised of repairs which may need attention down the road, but never try to push unnecessary work/repairs on you. I have been driving over 55 yrs.and have never had more confidence in the people as who have serviced my cars than the people at Glenway Automotive.

Glenway Auto Center is great! Once again, I had a nail in my tire this morning. I called and even though they were very busy, they were able to fit me into the schedule and fix my tire in the afternoon. Thank you so much for your excellent service and great staff!

Quoted me 450$ over phone per side then when I take it in they call me saying over$1000 for 1 side cuz the pressed in hub will take 4hrs... So I say no I'm fine go to pickup vehicle only to be charged$170 for a diagnosis when I already knew what was wrong just wanted it fixed. Never.. not once did they tell me I'd be charged for diagnosis!!!!!! Basically wasted my money and time... long story short bought the wheel bearing hub assembly for$140 and changed it myself in just an hr 20!!! Simple and plain like a poop stain!! No I don't recommend them!

This was my second visit to GAC and I was pleased with the professional service and quick completion of the maintenance items. I needed an engine oil/filter change as well as several other routine fluid/lubrication services (since the vehicle is 7 years old): transmission fluid flush/replace, brake fluid flush/replace, and differential fluid drain/replace. Cost for these services was reasonable--probably lower than at a dealer--with much easier scheduling. The facility is very modern and seems to be clean and well run. I will use GAC for my future maintenance needs.

Did a great job on both of my cars the last couple of days. Have them ready for winter I believe. Check each one out completely and only fixed what needed to be fixed. Once again the folks I trust and the folks I'll continue to take my cars too.
