Travis came way out of his way today to do a battery change for me. It was located in the wheel well and more work than I was prepared for. Great service, honest guy, and just an overall great experience. I’ll definitely be calling him for any future needs.

Travis was a fantastic mechanic he was prompt and knowledgeable. He was great to talk too. Very nice and knew his stuff. I was unable to put on a new serpentine belt on my vehicle he had a little trouble to but figures it all out. I am very pleased with his ability and cost.

I had a problem with a speed sensor so I contacted around and did some research who to call and wouldn't break the bank. I found this person through google with amazing reviews so I decided to call him up and see if he lived up to the wonderful reviews i've seen. He was at my house within the next hour as the sun was going down to take a look at it. Ran some diagnostics identified that it was in fact the speed sensors and then called around to different auto part stores and found me the best possible price for that sensor. He didn't charge anything on top of the listed price and only a small fee for gas. He got back 30 minutes later it was now dark and freezing yet he still continued on to install the part and we got in the car to do a test drive and my battery also failed on me. He took another trip to the store that very night and picked up a battery and installed it for me with no hassle. We both got into the vehicle after it was all said and done and the car works flawlessly. He charged a very reasonable modest price for the repairs and I will be recommending this person to anyone who needs a honest mechanic which is very rare in this day and age. I can attest this guy is the real deal and willing to go above and beyond for his customers.

Travis is the man! I called 11 other mobile mechanics, and he was the only one that returned my call. He came out to save our bacon! We had a company vehicle breakdown and needed a pros input on the issue. Call Travis, he is honest, reliable, and upfront. I saved his contact info and will be handing it out in the future.

Gill Mobile Auto Repair is THE BEST!!!! I could not have asked for a better experience!! He was able to come within 10 minutes of calling and was EXTREMELY nice and helpful. He explained exactly what was wrong with my car and showed me everything :) Genuinely one of the nicest people I have encountered in SC so far, I will not go to ANYONE else in the future 10/10 recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot express enough how much I recommend Gill Mobile, seriously. I’ve been through it with cars and mechanics, feeling completely naive through all of it. Travis is incredibly knowledgeable, there’s no questioning that. What makes the difference to me is his honesty and kindness. I’ve learned more from Travis during 3 visits than I have over 5 years from other mechanics. And he has never made me feel stupid or small, which is how I’ve always felt at every mechanic I’ve been to (there’s been a lot). And he’s always transparent “you need to get this done as soon as you can” - and he will make time for you - or “this can wait until you have some extra money” For someone who knows nothing about cars those statements are the difference between getting groceries or doing needless repairs, because to other mechanics, all repairs are emergent repairs. It’s rough out there but Travis treats you like a friend. The check engine light doesn’t evoke as much fear as it used to!

Travis arrived with his son Alex and they looked over the vehicle comprehensively and diagnosed the problem. He is a very knowledgeable, honest, and down to earth person. I enjoy doing business with a person of integrity. I will be giving him all my business on my vehicles in the future. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs their car or truck worked on.

Brakes needed replacement and called Travis. He came out and identified the parts needed. He went to get the parts and did the work on the same day for a very reasonable price. Extremely satisfied with his work and will call him anytime I need work done on my car.

Stranded and Travis saved the day. Our travel trailer weight distribution hitch came crashing to the ground under the weight of our 8000# travel trailer. I tried to repair it and got in over my head. A panic call brought him and his son to bail us out. Givhans Ferry State Park had no more available sites and our next stop was 6 hours away. We had to get back on the road the next day. He runs back to his house, pulls out a looks-like-new hitch from the shed. Back at the trailer he removes the rest of the busted hitch, attaches the new hitch post and ball and the next day we are on our way. What a life saver. All with a can do attitude and a smile. Amazing.

Great mechanic, My alternator died in a Publix parking lot and gave him a call and he said tow it to my shop and I will fix that day. Prices very reasonable and his knowledge and experience is incredible. Definitely found a permanent mechanic until he retires

Great dude. Asked for a cv axle repair. Told me over the phone what to do and if that doesn't work to give him a call. Showed up in 15 minutes and speedy fix and helped put everything back together. For a great price as well. 10/10

I am so grateful for Trav and how fast he was able to get my car running again! I have used his services multiple times and I am pleased with his low prices and how kind he is. I can not recommend him enough! Today I had a dead battery and had to leave my car in a business parking lot and he was able to get to my car and replace my battery within just a couple of hours. He even dropped off my car key at work. He is truly amazing!

I’m here to reiterate what these other reviewers have said. Travis is an honest, humble man who will not do any unnecessary repairs to your vehicle. He came out to look at my car and advised me that what it needed would cost more than would be worth sinking into a 24 year old vehicle. He was truly upset that he was giving me this “bad news”. Travis and his son were awesome! He was friendly from the moment I called him, and was so quick to respond. He worked much longer than anticipate on my vehicle as the starter he replaced was located in most difficult position imaginable. He made sure he finished the job to get us back on the road, and I am sure most mobile mechanics would have walked away. Travis stuck it out on a Saturday and we are so grateful for his help. What a great experience! My sister is a new car owner but has been following him for a while. When I recently bought a 20 year old pickup I brought it over to Gill’s, met his kids and dogs and asked him to go over it to see what it needed. He caught a couple of hose leaks while we were standing there. When he said “Someone has been loving on this little truck. You made a good deal” I knew I had found a good mechanic. He did what was needed and I’m pretty sure he gave me the Old Lady Discount. He is very reasonable. Having a mechanic you trust is like having a doctor you trust. 5 Stars for Gill’s
