We went in to check an engine noise. They said it was the water pump. Got the water pump replaced. Did not work we paid for a diagnostic. Also paid for other services just to have what they said not work out. The noise was still there then they said to do an oil change. And they recommended cleaning the engine out with a special additive that they charge $175 for. We paid for the service and I watched from the window. The guy just did the oil change and never did the actual service of cleaning out the engine. When I asked the lady she said oh yeah they did it. Then I went and asked the guy and he was like no we weren't aware and didn't do the job. Don't fall for their coupons. They charge three times as much and just take off the top. The customer service rep stated over and over again how there was something hanging and they had just put it back in place and kept expecting me to thank her. We finally got the noise figured out in the car and it was just a loose spark plug. Avoid this place at all cost. They will charge you four times the amount they charge dealership prices and don't have quality work. They will misdiagnose your car charge you like crazy and then propose something else later.

I was out of town when my car's check engine light came on with several codes. Following the recommendation of my usual AAA shop in North Hollywood, I took it to GIC. The codes were nonspecific (e.g., cylinder misfire 300, etc.), and they suggested replacing the spark plugs or the battery. I opted for the spark plug replacement. However, within a few hours, the check engine light came back on. I then took the car to Capitol Honda for a diagnostic, where they identified the issue as faulty fuel injectors. From Reddit, I learned this was covered under an extended warranty. The injectors were replaced, and the problem was resolved, allowing me to return to LA without further issues.

The visit to GIC was swift and easy...Max was really transparent with me and my mother. We took in our 2017 Suburu crosstrek for some over heating issues. GIC was able to get our car in same day we called and ran tests and had answers for the problem the next morning. They did an awesome job finding the problem and explaining everything back to us. We didn't leave the cars for the repairs but them doing their tests and finding the issue was good enough for us and helped a bunch.

So I brought my 2017 honda accord to GIC car clinic because the engine light was on and it was running rough when cold They charged me 159 just for the diagnosis Then they told me it was the spark plugs and ignition coils so I had them all replace. It almost cost me 900 dollars I left my car for 2 days then I picked it up After one day of using my car I had the same problem again. Like nothing was fixed I really feel frustrated because I spent a thousand bucks in total and my car is still having the same problem Idk of the diagnosis was wrong or something but that's why I paid what I paid to have them determine the issue and fix it I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody

I’ll be bringing my car back to GIC from now on! The entire staff was so extremely helpful and they were able to do the work on my car with a very turn around. Love how when they gave me a second opinion they took pictures and provided detailed descriptions about the status of things to be repaired, that helped me to decide what work needed to be done immediately and what could wait. These guys are great, very professional and trustworthy. Thank you!!!

Brought my 21' Civic Type R here and Jose was very knowledgeable and professional. He knew a lot about my car since he had one as well. Both Jose and Jered made sure that my car was in and out on a timely manner. I received sufficient amount of updates which I really appreciated. Gave me all the problems with my car and no solutions as they were very busy and couldn't complete testing on the car after nearly 8 hours of me waiting and told me the check engine light might turn on again in the future after they stated they turned off the check engine light

Have been going here for a couple years now, Alan and Helen are warm, compassionate people, as are all the employees. They will show you exactly what's wrong with your car and explain exactly why they recommend what they recommend, if you ask. They may sometimes overrecommend, as is their prerogative, but they don't take it personally if you refuse. If you need to wait in the office, they have wifi and phone chargers, and you might strike up an interesting conversation with another customer-- I've never seen anyone come in here angry or yelling, which is a great sign. Highly recommend going here for car service and repair, or local recommendations too-- got recommended an amazing cafe nearby to eat while I waited!

My 1995 Infinity G20, overheated and needed to tow. AAA driver, who towed my car, recommended to bring it to GIC Car Clinic At GIC Car Clinic, every staffs are so nice and kind. One of the best car shop. Explanation for cause and repair plan was clear and very reasonable. Service were great and totally satisfied. I really recommend this shop to everyone who reads this.

My vehicle was left unused in a garage without maintenance for over 2 years during the pandemic. It needed a lot of TLC. I took it to GIC, and they performed excellent, thorough maintenance— my car drove great after that. The mechanics were up front about all maintenance recommendations and very friendly. They even threw in a few services pro-bono. Great service at very fair rates. Will definitely be using GIC for future car upkeep!

Overall, nice experience for the work they did. I just felt like they were trying to upsell a lot of things from the start. Plus, they won't do the work if the parts won't come from them. If you don't like the feeling of being sold to and is not used to saying "No", then this is not the place for you. If you're rather knowledgeable with what you want done, then it's fine to come here.

The woman who I assume is the owner said she would have my car towed if I didn't pick it up the same day. Bare in mind they had called me that day that they could not fix my vehicle. I felt pressured. I had called ahead of time to confirm they could work on my vehicle before paying to have it towed to them. They said they could, and I agreed to pay for their “level three diagnostic”. After taking delivery of my vehicle they told me my vehicle was too difficult to diagnose (it is a Subaru) and told me to Come get it that day or it would be towed. I will give them credit for not charging me the diagnostic fee.

update: after seeing my review, they checked my file and apparently charged me for a tire rotation but never did one. Thankfully I was refunded for this oversight, but it isnt a good look to be charging customers for work that wasnt even done. They at least have the integrity to admit mistakes, and the previous comments still stand. Ie... They do good work, but they treat every car like they're doing restoration work on a classic car. They suggest a lot of work that is not necessary and their prices are far above what they should be. I am sure they would be thorough and everything would be good for the car, but its not worth it from what you can have done at other mechanics. Also, not great at customer service. Besides taking phone calls while Im standing there in person, they also chose to follow through with a tire rotation after an inspection which found nails in two tires and balding on two others.

Hello! So I brought my jeep into this shop not having any idea what was wrong with it but it wasn't starting, GIC Car Clinic did so much work & unfortunately my car was just too far gone. They were super nice & understanding of my situation. They were very timely & easy to get ahold of & always made sure to keep me updated on all progress. So although my car couldn't get fixed I still 10/10 recommend & will be coming for all of my car needs in the future! My service advisor was Jose & Jered was my technician & I thank them so much for their work & communication! I’ll be back!

I had a check engine light come on, so I called and they told me to come in. They quickly checked my car, found it was an easy fix, and didn’t charge me for finding the issue. Their kindness and honesty really stood out. Highly recommend! Will updated once I get my service with them!
