Best mechanic I’ve ever been to. Fair, trustworthy, knowledgeable and most importantly gives options. Doesn’t try to upsell you on anything. Very nice and friendly staff. Only shop I use now. Highly recommend

Great local place. Driving thru Charlotte to get to Raleigh and got 3 nails in my tire while 3 hours away from home. This place was able to get me in within 15 mins of me calling them and get my tire patched. As they were finishing the patch to put the tire back on they discovered another nail hole on the other side of the tire and plugged it as well at no additional charge. Highly recommend them!

I recently visited Gibson Auto & Tire, twice, to address slow leaks in my tires on my Ford Mustang 2020. I had previously had one of the tires looked at Costco, where they said they did not find anything. Well, at Gibson (Ron) and his crew found a tiny nail in one of the tires and the second time I visited for a second tire, the puncture was so tiny that even they could not find it at first. Instead of leaving it at that, Ron himself spent more time on it to find the tiny leak and fix it. Furthermore, their vending machine was empty since their vendor has been MIA, so they offered me a free coke and would not take payment for it. These folks are the genuine deal and I feel very comfortable in recommending them.

Small mechanic shops where your mechanic actually cares about you and your car are the best way to go. They stay busy which tells you everything you need to know. Not only do they stay busy but they get your vehicle worked on in a timely manner which means they're working on many many vehicles and yet still do an amazing job on each vehicle they service. Ron, Diane, Ethan and Blake are great. Diane who works at the front desk is very personable and polite and the mechanics are great. 10/10 would recommend anyone bringing their vehicle here. Have always and will continue to have my cars worked on here!

Took my car to this shop after calling them. I had went to TTS Auto which is a cool shop. I stop using TTS Auto After i saw that they markup the prices on parts 65% & I saw it with my own eyes. Now the work they did on my car was cool work (changed bc axle on driver side of 2008 Lexus GS 350AWD) Gibson auto is way better! The prices are way better they truly take care of your vehicle, they are not trying to up sale you! Mr Ron n his team are amazing!!! Took care of my brakes n rotors on front and back pads didn’t fit on the front Mr Ron gave me a great deal on pads for front as well as a caliper for the back bc my caliper was bad. It was a great price and the price he gave me out the door was the same price TTS Auto was trying to charge just for doing brakes and rotors! Mr Ron called me every step of the way and made sure he shared everything he had to do and got my approval to do it before he did it! I love that! I brought my car back the next day so that he could put tue cv axle on for the passenger side and the quote for that was perfect!!! Unlike TTS Auto where they tried to charge me double what Gibson charged and then TTS Auto charge you for bringing your own parts!!! Crazy!!! Come to GIBSON AUTO!!! If you want to be treated as a customer a member of the family and know that your car is going to be done correctly Gibson Auto is the perfect place! Thank you team!!!!

I have been looking for a trustworthy auto shop for a while since being in Charlotte. Ron, Ethan and Diane were all extremely helpful and honest with me. They charge a fair price and helped me when I bought the wrong size brake pads and rotors for my car. They let me know I had plenty of time before I needed to get my front pads and rotors replaced instead of stressing urgency like the dealership had done. I'm very grateful for the and will be going to their shop whenever I have any auto repair needs!

The most genuine, trustworthy and helpful. Other, more popular places, wanted to replace tires “in the name of safety”. I’m not against safety, of course, but that seemed more like a scare tactic.. without even mentioning other factors like the age of the tires and where the leak came from. Our tire issue was a nail in the middle of the tread, and these treads were hardly worn away. It is a newer tire. I understand that sometimes tires cannot be patched, but I wanted a second opinion and Gibson Auto & Tire Center gave me that professional second opinion. Turned out I didn’t need replacement tires in this case, just a patch. But they gave me a high quality patch, and explained to me everything I wanted to know. I can’t speak highly enough about this place and I will be sending my friends and family here again and again.

Fair, Honest and affordable. They will tell you when it does or doesn't need fixing and wont make things up either. I don't trust anyone else with my vehicles but these guys. My company also gets our fleet serviced here for years now.
