I always get scared when taking my car in for any type of work without my husband. Alex took care of it, was honest and did a wonderful job (husband approved). He’s very knowledgeable and patient with his clients. I will be definitely coming back.

I don’t even have a German car and ended up here by accident after getting jerked around by the dealership. I needed to attach my front license plate bracket and even though they didn’t have the “right” tool, they said they could still help me if I was ok doing it a different way. They were so nice and didn’t even charge me. I will definitely be recommending to friends and going back myself.

I'm really happy with my experience! Everyone was very helpful, and Alex did a great job explaining what was wrong with my car. He was honest and clear, which made me feel comfortable trusting him with my vehicle. I was a bit nervous about trying a new shop, but I'm glad I did. I'll definitely be back and recommend this shop to others.

I got my Audi 2010 A6 towed here for overheating issues. Jeremiah promptly answered all my questions and did a thorough diagnosis of what was going on. I could not believe how fast the service was! I was back on the road a day later! I could not be more pleased! This is a great place to take your car!

I inquired because Audi’s instrument panel doesn’t light up but one of black guy said the diagnosis fee is $400 , it is not a repair fee.he is a highway robbery. Today, I went to another auto repair shop and the mechanic said my car’s fuse was broken so he replaced it and the instrument panel working normally.the repair was completed in 40 mins and total cost is $70.

Excellent customer service, expert-level technicians, and great pricing! I took in my W205 Mercedes Benz C63 for a check engine light and Jeremiah was able to quickly diagnose and resolve the issue. I left my car overnight and he maintained great communication throughout the whole process. Jeremiah is just an overall great person to chat with and you can tell he’s an expert at what he does. Jeremiah also went above and beyond by reaching out to my extended warranty to cover a faulty ignition coil (which they did cover). The Mercedes dealership said that my warranty probably would not cover my ignition coils, so I’m REALLY glad I took my car to German Auto Specialist instead which saved me a bunch of money. He also changed my spark plugs and even replaced my rusty license plate mounting bracket. Now my car looks good and runs smoother than ever. This was my first time taking my car to their shop and I’ll definitely be coming back for any future repairs or maintenance. I have peace of mind knowing that I can always rely on them as a trustworthy and local independent mechanic. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

I highly recommend German Auto Specialists! Jose and his team are an outstanding group of technicians. They do what they say they will do and they get it done in a timely fashion. They are excellent at giving you preventative advice as well, without pushing you to do something you’re not ready to do yet. My Boxster has never run as well as it does right now! A shout out to Jeremiah as well; he is kind, courteous, and made my recent experience a pleasure. Take your vehicle to these guys…you won’t be sorry!

I recently took my Porsche Cayenne Diesel to German Auto Specialist to fix a coolant leak, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the professionalism and knowledge of Jeremiah. He was incredibly thorough in explaining the issue and provided a photo of the leak, which I greatly appreciated. The team was honest, efficient, and did a fantastic job repairing my car. It's refreshing to find an auto service that truly cares about their customers and their vehicles.I'll definitely be coming back for any future service needs.

Top notch service and care. Great customer service and timely repair. Their best secret power is that they have the ability to answer all of your questions prior to even asking. I had to have my rotors and brakes replaced. Jeremiah took time to explain the process and go over the brand of material being used to help me make a informed decision. When I brought my car in and the service was completed, he miraculously answered all questions I intended to ask but never got a chance to. Cherry on top, my brakes did not squeak! Which was an annoying issue I last had them replaced by the Audi dealership. German Auto Specialist is now a part of my tribe!

Not only are they conveniently located, and much easier to schedule with than a dealership, we know we can trust Jose, the owner, to be honest and reliable. His integrity, responsiveness, and quality service are refreshing in an industry that often feels dishonest and misleading. It’s a great feeling to finally have someone we can count on.

(I drive a 2018 BMW 430i). Very impressed with Jeremiah and his team. After taking my car to another (supposedly well reviewed) shop in Ballston, I was told that there was a "mysterious sound" and that the only way to diagnose and fix it would be to take the car apart and charge me $2,000 in labor and parts. I called Jeremiah and he told me the chances of work actually needing to be done was very low. That being said, every now and again I did hear a squeak, so for my peace of mind, I wanted to have the car looked at anyway. As I had just had new tires put on, I planned to take the car in for both an alignment and a full inspection so Jeremiah could figure out what was wrong, if anything. He and his team did a great job aligning the car quickly and for a reasonable price. And even though they were not able to actually do the full inspection of the car for the sound because of the rain (too wet and loud out to hear a very minor, intermittent squeak), they still did a visual inspection and let me know that they didn't think anything was wrong. I was really impressed because instead of trying to upsell me with bringing the car back and taking it all apart, they said that I could keep driving it and bring it back if/when it gets any worse. There's a chance the alignment may have fixed the issue so they didn't want to go on a wild goose chase if it wasn't worth it. It's that kind of integrity that I think is so important to find in a local auto shop as it can be very hard to come by. By them being honest and reasonable with me, they've ensured that any future issues I have will be directly taken to them as I know I can trust them to do what's right for me and not just what puts a dollar in their pocket quickly. Also, it's comical (in a bad way) how few shops around here actually feel comfortable working on BMWs or know what they're doing, so if you have a BMW or another German car, make sure you take it to someone like these guys who actually knows what they're doing and has reputable local parts dealers they're connected with.

Great spot. I had them replace the front lower control arms on my Mercedes S550 and they did a great job. Much cheaper than the dealer. Quick service too! I'll be back in the future.

I brought my suv in with some spark plug issues and a fuel leak. They told me it would be nearly $3000 to fix the car and $1600 just to run diagnostics. I refused the service since the car ran fine before I brought it in. When I came in to pick it up my car it didn’t run at all. The accelerator didn’t respond and the car was shaking like a leaf. Furthermore, when I went to step into my car to start it up the staff were all breaking their necks looking at me and smiling. At this point the only option was to pay the $3000 he was claiming to costed to fix or scrap the car. I had to pay for the inspection on top of the towing fee it cost to lug the car off of the lot. Jose was very unsympathetic and disrespectful and it seems very unlikely that the car would have stopped working on its own. I have brought this car into many repair shops and have never experienced anything like this. I can only hope that this review will dissuade others from bringing their car into to be taken advantage of.

I had a great experience here after going to the Audi dealer and being quoted a ridiculous amount. I could tell Jose wanted to find the best price for the car part I needed fixed, and I really appreciated it. Will definitely come here if I have any issues in the future! 10/10.

I have a 2007 Nissan Armada, Jose told me what I needed done and what could wait. He knew my funds were not available so he took care of what was needed. He also was able to save me money because another mechanic told to replace parts that Jose said were in good working condition. I took my 2017 Infinti Today and Jose took care of it. Google can we add an additional star please. They really do take care of their customers and their vehicles.

I’m very much grateful for the shop and the owner as I’ve know him for years and finally being able to find someone I can trust I knew I had to pull the plug and finally spend that money on fixing my brakes,muffler and they found other problems and well and my expired inspection was taken care of as well so I’m thankful to him and his crew and will be back soon for more maintenance

Jose and his team at German Automotive Specialists are top tier! Finding competent mechanics to work on modern german cars outside warranty is hard enough. If you do find a good independent shop, you’ll barely save two coins to rub together versus a dealership. I know my cars well enough to know when I’m getting jerked around. These guys are as honest as it gets, but critically, they REALLY know their stuff. You don’t need to worry about someone “learning” on your car here!

Jose is the best! I brought my Audi in for service and he fixed all of my issues. He even showed me what was wrong under the car. I then agreed and all was fixed. I have been back 2 additional times and always left happy. I have recommended him to all of my friends with German cars. Only place I’ll go in the future.

These guys are crooks! We took our car there because it was running rough and we had to get it towed out of there because they couldn’t figure it out and in the process made it not start at all!!!
