Wow! Wow! Wow! I cannot believe that in today's automotive repair world that there is still such a huge difference in where you choose to go. At some point you think it's like 2% milk, where it really doesn't matter which store you go to, they all are really the same. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our jeep overheated first showing an engine light then the temperature gauge went towards the H. Luckily, my son who was driving, was near his work and was able to shut it off. He came back later and discovered that antifreeze had leaked out and that there was some break in the line. I am out of state trying to help my son and called the closest shop. They got it in, diagnosed it, and came up with a repair plan. $1800 Sounded believable. Then the next day, I got a call saying the damage was much more severe and really a new engine was recommended ($10,000 plus). Uhh ok now we are in crisis mode. I contacted the Jeep dealership, and they said they could work on it and that a motor was not likely the solution, but they needed to see it. I then started my search to see what else I might be able to do. I called Gemba Automotive and spoke with AL. First, he let me tell the whole story and without disparaging the other shops, he offered a plan that seemed much more reasonable. He was empathetic to the situation and knowledgeable about the potential repairs. He asked about the process in which the other shop had taken to get there results and explained why there was some errors in their decision tree. He offered an expedited look at the Jeep. Once he looked at, Luis another great guy at the shop, handled the diagnosis and repair. One thing the dealership had mentioned is to only use OEM (factory) parts when it comes to the thermostat and housing so the computer will have no false readings. Al was already aware of this issue and was on it. The Jeep was repaired that day, with an OEM part, for $600. Knowledgeable, empathetic, honest people who are professional in every facet of the repair process. I coordinated this repair from Montana while my son was working 10 hr shifts. Neither one of us had the time or opportunity to really size this place up so it was a bit of a gamble, but it paid out in spades! Gemba Automotive is hands down the place to go. Came in with a flat tire I got on the freeway and they were SO nice and happily offered to put on a spare free of charge and also helped me find a tire shop close by. Wonderful customer service!!!

I came to get my front signal lights changed, and I had the pleasure of working with Luis Garcia. He was so nice and kind. He even fixed a minor out of placed socket in the back of my car just out of the kindness of his heart. The service was great and very quick. Highly recommend!

These guys saved our asses. My husband and I came into town from out of state for surgery and my car started to sound like a garbage disposal. I called on a random Saturday, and they were kind enough to squeeze me in last minute. As I waited in shop, they were able to assess my problem quickly. THEY WERE INCREDIBLY HONEST! I would recommend them to any and everyone. I'm a single mother, and I went in by myself. Other shops have previously tried to overcharge me before for work that I didn't need. They could have easily done that to me today, but they didn't. They were truly angels today. I will be going to them from now on, and recommending them to everyone!

Went in on Tuesday after scheduling an appointment for replacing my EGR valve due to the check engine light coming on. Received a call 3 hours later saying my car was finished and to come get it before 2pm that day due to them closing down the shop for good. I thought this was very strange and when I asked for what reason, the tech informed me due to mismanagement. I had paid $561 for my egr valve to be replaced and now my check engine light is back on. Basically got scammed out $560 and cant even get a call back now because they closed down. Ridiculous.

Had my A/C worked on here for my truck and would have thought that $600 for the inspection and recharge service they would be sure to check the system for leaks. Had A/C for two days before I have hot air blowing again, come to find out I have a crack in the front of my condenser that another shop found without even popping my hood. Called back to try and figure out what happened and they were hard to get ahold of or never called back. Finally get told if I brought it back they would take another look but why the hell would I take it back if you couldn't fix it the first time? Trying to double charge the customer it seems to me, or just lazyness. Why not ensure that the job you were paid to do was completed and double checked the first time? Can definitely say I won't be returning and good luck to anyone who does go to them.

John has been an absolute pleasure to work with, his team's work was thorough in analysis and repair, communicating well while I was away, and made critical repairs fit my budget limit. This included A/C component replacement, fuel filter, electrical work, and upon inspection also steering wheel bearing replacement and overdue steering fluid replacement. Phoenix Automotive Repair stood out as they are accommodating to me being out of town for a few weeks, working around the unique quirks of an older model vehicle, and schedule around my return to pick-up the vehicle, notifying me of work completion days ahead of my arrival. Highly recommended!

This place is Awesome! They are so honest! I know, right...that is so few and far between. They do the repair I ask for and then go over if there is anything else wrong. They are not pushy...if you want to do it...that's fine and if you don't that's fine too. They will text you your diagnostic test so you know what's going on. They are very nice and friendly, they don't treat you like..."Oh, you don't know anything..."Let's jack up the price." Oh.. and they don't mansplain! Thank you
