Excellent experience. Incredibly friendly, and it makes sense to just go here rather than try to own every tool, or try to do it with whatever you happen to have. I don't know why there aren't more shops like this. I put on new brakes and wasn't in the snow in my driveway. He helped make sure I torqued things correctly. I'm glad I went.

Come here a couple of times for some small work had some questions and had a lot of help with working on cars and with questions I had everyone was super friendly and helpful

Great place - shop is tidy, staff is friendly. 24 hour availability on-call is not something you're likely to find at other similar businesses. Will be back next time I don't feel like rolling around on the floor in my garage.

Brought my Jeep patriot in to get my front wheel barrings replaced. Anthony as always was quick & I know I’m in good hands having my vehicle worked on at his shop! Highly recommend him for all your mechanic needs!!

It’s difficult to find a mechanic you can trust—especially one who is well-experienced and extremely knowledgeable of their trade, and delivers excellent customer service, so when you find someone who checks all the boxes, you’ve got a got a winner. Anthony knocks it out the park every time—He knows his stuff, can explain mechanical issues in a way that makes sense to the layperson, is very friendly and accessible, and ultimately does excellent work for a very reasonable price. This is my 3rd time hiring Anthony for work on my car, and I will continue to go to him for all my mechanical needs. I heartily recommend him for any of your car repair needs, or if you’re looking for a shop to DIY that’s well-equipped with the tools you need (and super helpful techs onsite to guide you along, or save your bacon), Anthony’s got you covered. Hats off to you guys on running a great business and taking care of your people!

Easily one of the best and smartest businesses around whether you're a "car guy," a "do-it-yourselfer," a car expert, someone that's car curious, or just want to save money on car repairs by doing the work yourself. I'm not sure where I fall into any of those categories as I tend to not fall in or fit too much of anything other than "skinny dude who knows enough to be dangerous" and you know what, that's perfect too for Gearheads. Been going there ever since I moved back to Michigan and every time I go I wish I had more car stuff to do as I always have a blast up there. Anthony is a super kind, super motivated and friendly dude. Sam blows me away with his patience and willingness to help. I've always struggled with asking for help and especially when you're in the realm of experts like the folks at Gearheads but there's no reason for that: Anthony and Sam are both there to help and not once have I had a problem too big or too small for them to help right away. I've brought my cheap sports car (a Focus ST) up there quite a few times to upgrade its performance, I've brought friends cars in when I couldn't make due in my apartment parking lot, and every time I'm there I'm always blown away with how much of an incredibly friendly, helpful atmosphere surrounds and is Gearheads. There's a popular gym that calls themselves a "no judgement zone" and that 100% is Gearhead: all are welcome no matter how extroverted or introverted, no matter how experienced or inexperienced. Simply come as you are and ready to try and should you or a bolt or part get stuck, there's some real pros who know their stuff that can help. I always look forward to car repairs now thanks to Gearheads and you can too thanks to incredible pros like Anthony and Sam at Gearheads.

This has been the first time that I've rented a spot in a DIY auto repair shop. Great tools, there's always a professional mechanic ready to help a DIY'er encountering any difficulties while doing his project. My experience at this shop has been very pleasant, and I'll rent a hoist at it again any time there's a need for me to perform my own auto repair. Thank you and God bless.

Cannot recommend this place enough! I'm very new into working on and modifying cars and after a failed attempt at an exhaust control valve and axleback exhaust for my Subaru Legacy at home on jackstands, I booked my appointment here. Walked in and Sam helped me the entire way through the process. Helped explain things to me so a beginning like me could understand and not be overwhelmed. Lifted the car up, got the exhaust valve installed, showed me how to cut off my stock exhaust that was stuck on so we could get the new exhaust on. In 2 1/2 hours, my car sounded so good and I couldn't have done it without Sam and this shop! Thank you so so so much, couldn't be happier and will definitely look forward to coming back when I've got more mods for my car!

Great shop. It's very convenient that they let you rent a hoist along with just about any tool you would need and Sam is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would feel very comfortable letting these guys work on my car if I ever don't feel like doing the work myself.

Highly highly recommend Gearheads! Any time I’ve had issues with my vehicle they have taken great care of me and treated me like family. Brought my Jeep in and my boyfriend was able to work on my Jeep with the guidance & assistance of Anthony (shop owner). Was able to get the work that would’ve taken him 6-8 hours at home without a hoist, done in 3! Highly recommend them of all your car issues! Pricing is very reasonable too!

Save money on DIY auto repairs! I visited 11/6/23 to work on my brakes. Replaced a rear caliper and bled the whole system with help from Jesse, a great mechanic. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. They have all the tools and equipment you need and the advice is priceless. I've been needing a place like this for years, finally found it! No more jacking up one wheel at a time in the back lawn!

This place is incredible! I called and was able to book a hoist the same day. They have everything you could ever need in terms of tools to work on your own vehicle and a master mechanic on site to give you advice. I was able to install the new exhaust on my 23 year old diesel truck in a few hours and Sam even lent a hand to finish the job! If you are looking for a place to work on your own vehicle, I highly recommend giving these guys a call!
