I thought, well since this guy does auto electric work he would find the electrical problem more quickly than the average mechanic and save me money. WRONG.. They found the short alright. Just broken wire in a clearance light...He did really nice work replacing the clearance light socket but charged me something like 1.2 hours labor and parts consisted of original OME socket..like.$65 parts. Can you believe this shop changed me almost $500. $$$$$$$. I kid you not .I'm no fool. I work on cars. I estimate this shop changed me twice the average cost of repair.

Unfortunately, we experienced a less than pleasurable experience when we were advised to contact our insurance company because our car would be most likely be deemed a total loss due to ongoing issues and extensive repair. The only saving grace was that Carlos was helping us navigate every step of the way. He made arranging an inspection with the insurance company a breeze. He took and returned our phone calls with efficiency and dedication. Strong communication skills which are always welcomed and applauded. He went the extra mile to help us find websites and sources that would give us the highest, most compelling comparisons in our favor. Just having a third party to advocate and advise was invaluable through this process. You can tell that they are really on your side and want you to see success. I would always return as a customer and send anyone I know here to have work done. The integrity of this place speaks for itself. THANK YOU!

Needed a new impossible to find Starter, for an old (very common) Sailboat Engine.. Although I don't know WHY (My customer delt direct with this shop once referred) the starter was to damaged, thus not rebuildable.. So they actually found us a new replacement!! A1 service, and Communication!! Was recommended, Will Recommend!

My aftermarket car alarm (which I hated. bought car used & it was there) was acting haywire. The excellent repair shop (Giannini's) that had worked on my car after a collision, knew that for electrical, people who are more familiar with the set ups would have a better idea of how to best resolve the issue and referred me to Freddy's. I got there first thing the next morning, talked to Freddy (I think) told him what I thought was going on. He listened, we discussed options. I called that afternoon because I needed to see if my car would be ready to take a friend out of town. It was, he offered to show me parts removed, I declined, I drove off happy with the result.

wanted to like this place and went because of some good reviews, but I am quite disappointed. for 250$ I would expect a specific diagnosis like e.g. part x in system y needs replacement. but if for this amount of money you just get a quote to basically exchange every piece that is somewhat linked to the error, that is quite frustrating. they offered a refund after complaining, so that's fine for my case now.

My car stereo wasn't working. I called this place and asked what they'd charge to fix it. Dude on the phone (carlos) says it's a difficult issue to solve and says it'll take two hours and will cost 400 bucks. I went on youtube the first video that popped up said unplug and replug a component in to reset the stereo when turning it on for the first time. I tried this and the car radio turned on immediately and is working fine.

Our daughter was experiencing electrical issues with dashboard and running lights shorting out on her vehicle. She needed this fixed fast. We found "Carlos" at Freddy's Auto Electric. Carlos was friendly and willing to take a look at her car that next morning. Carlos found the issue, had it fixed and even did a quick fix on a headlight to ensure her car was in great running condition! It was such a great peace of mind knowing she was well taken care of and would be safe driving those busy streets in San Francisco with working lights. They were flexible on availability and the work was finished within an hour which even included complimentary tire and level checks. Carlos and Freddy can tackle anything. They are electrical wizards and are unimaginably skilled. My extended family and I have been coming for years. I've brought them everything from modern german cars to 80's trucks and classics. Carlos is very proud of his work, I trust them for any big job that I won't do myself. He is very knowledgeable, professional, communicative and friendly. Their prices are very fair and they make sure you're completely satisfied with the work.
