After getting an oil change and aligment I left , hit a curb and busted my tire. They not only then needed to replace my tire but the technitian suggested I align again. Thank-you for all your help after my carelesness.

I set & confirmed an appointment yesterday for today, this afternoon. I cleared my work schedule for this afternoon’s appointment. I arrive to find out that they are low on technicians today and cannot service my vehicle. That is fine and completely understandable, but what isn’t quite understandable is not getting a call beforehand to inform me and reschedule. I wasted my time clearing out my afternoon & coming here for this. Please notify your customers beforehand.

My CV axel was broken on my car so I dropped it off early on Sunday morning & with no appointment. Anthony & his staff got to working on my car. They were so excellent with my car. I got it back on Tuesday afternoon. My car feels a lot safer to drive and I can tell they were thorough in their repair work. I will be taking my car here for any future repairs. Firestone in Point Loma is better than taking your car to the dealership!

Believe the reviews! This particular shop is horrible. Brought my truck in with absolutely shot lower control arms and they cleared me and said nothing was wrong. That was a free service so no harm there but I’ve also had other interactions here and let me tell you, the manager is rude as hell! I wouldn’t bring my tricycle in here to get fixed.

EDIT: Firestone forgot to reset my Steering Angle Sensor during the alignment so I got my car back with traction control system disabled. They didn’t check this or tell me about it when they gave me my car. I drove around for an hour hoping it would reset on its own. I called and they didn’t seem like they cared. They told me to come back AGAIN and it will take 1+ hour. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Original: I had an appointment for 2pm on 01/14/25 for an alignment. They told me it would be complete by 4:15. After hearing nothing from them I called them at 5:15 they told me they hadn’t started yet. The service writer insisted I must get here by 5:45pm to because he didn’t want to have to wait on me or stay late. He assured me it would be done at 5:45pm. I came at 5:45pm, they weren’t done. It’s now 6:19pm I’ve been sitting in the waiting room for 35 min they’re still not done. They were supposed to finish 2 hours ago. They’ve had my car for 4 hours, they took twice as long as they told me and they still aren’t finished. I will be taking my car somewhere else in the future

Do not waste your time!! What's the point of making an appointment if I'm told I have to wait an hour and a half just to get seen? I went down the street and got my service done right away instead. I guess all the other negative reviews are right!

I had a 1 PM appointment, so I decided to come in at 11:30. They had a few cars that they were working on and I waited for almost 8 hours after 3 hours of waiting for diagnosis. I had to wait another four hours for my car to even be looked at and then after the last two hours for maybe three hours, my car was finally finished. One of the representative's name was Anthony he was really nice and he was really open in explaining to me about the car and my situation Sal, on the other hand has a very poor bedside manor he's not really a good person to do front desk as a customer representative. By the end of the night, Sal is the one that I dealt with and he did tell me the benefits of getting my car worked on here. And that, I had a lifetime warranty on basically all the work that they did on my car, which was very important and I was grateful for that. However, the wait time is ridiculous and when I was waiting, there was only 2 cars in there and one person working on my car and while they were in the garage, they were laughing,playing music. I felt like I didn't know if my car was being paid attention on thoroughly. But so far so good, the car runs really good. And I asked if all my fluids were changed when Anthony told me that I needed a fuel injection change and a few other things changed, so I confirmed that would Sal. And he said, yes, we'll see what happens in the next couple weeks. All I can say is that the wait time is ridiculous and for the money that I paid for. In that wait time, there should be some compensation. And maybe a better waiting area where we can have coffee. And maybe some drinks beverages, not alcohol, or even snacks but to compensate for the hours that we have to wait there and an easy way to charge our phones would be great. I only went there because it's local, but if it was my choice, I wouldn't go there again because The Firestone in national city is fantastic. They have a big waiting area. They were real nice and the same representative that took care of me at Firestone here in midway drive. He worked at the one in national city, and I remember because of his sour personality that he has towards his customers. All I can say is that they need to have better representatives.They need to have accommodations for waiting. If we're gonna wait for 8 to 10 hours for a car to be done a lot of people have to be at work in a couple of hours, a lot of people only have 1 day off to do things and don't have a whole day to wait and there's not much to do. Around there except spend more money and cross the street, when there's heavy traffic on that particular street. People are coming in with their families and children, some elderly. If you want your tires plugged or taking care of I would say, go to discount tire across the street. You be in and out within a matter of maybe 15 or 20 minutes, but you won't be there for 5 or 6 hours waiting for your vehicle for your tires to get service or changed, they give you a 2 to 3 hour estimate at Firestone, but what you really are waiting is about 8 hours for your car to get done. Yes, I admit that there were things that needed to get done on my car, but no one should be waiting 8 to 9 hours for their vehicle to get done. If you have an appointment, then you need to honor that appointment with that person's time and that's what this establishment is missing, they have no consideration of their customers time. How they spent it, but they should at least have some type of accommodation. Being honest with the time estimate, when we have to Wait for our cars to get serviced. I wouldn't suggest to come here. They might be understaffed. I'm not sure, but that's still not an excuse to have us.Wait there for 8 to 9 hours for our car to get serviced. Anyone who's employed who has a job via be an hourly job or a yearly job the boss is not going to want to hear our explanation and excuse for the tardiness, or for even saying we don't have our transportation, cause they haven't even looked at our car. Something needs to be done!

Jonathan and Israel helped me out of a jam early on a Sunday morning. My front driver side tire got a very fast leak on the side of the tire late Saturday night. Very few options at that point. Had AAA tow it to this location....which luckily was opened on a Sunday. Israel found a tire big enough for my van and Jonathan had it changed and ready to go in no time without an appointment. Very much appreciate the diligence and demeanor of these two.

Made an appointment for new tires. Gave car information to Anthony and he assured me he had two options available. I get there and they claim not to have any tires of the correct size available. Went across the street and to Discount tire.

Made an appointment drove all the way there since that is where I’ve been taking my car for the past 3 years, the super rude guy at front told me why would I drive so much to get there that I could just go elsewhere, did not honour my appointment and had to find some other place. Completely unreliable and unnecessarily rude.

Went on Monday and made an appointment for tues 11am for oil change tire rotation and brake check. Arrived early 10:30 On Tuesday . Left it there went to lunch got back at noon said they have not gotten to it yet. ( but they accepted walk in and worked on their cars before mine) They close at 6pm. I came back at 5:30 pm and they had not started on my car. Sat their and watch then pull in bay at 6:20. Done at 7pm . Because of tire change my dash light indicator is on and Firestone says I have to pay extra to reset dash indicator since it is late and after hours. They screwed me all day and did a rush job because they wanted the money from walk ins. I call BS on their whole practise.

Had a 10am appointment. Dropped car at 9:45am was told it would take an hour and half and someone would call me. By 1:30pm still hadn’t heard anything so called them. They hadn’t even looked at it yet (so glad I made an appointment) by 4pm had not received any call. I had one day off to get brakes looked at /fixed and they wasted my whole day. Finally called and they lied and said they’d “tried” to call me. I had zero missed calls and had been waiting by phone. Decided just to pick it up. Such a waste of time.

I scheduled an appointment on Tuesday for a Thursday. Got no email and they supposedly called but never received a call. Showed up and they asked me to leave the truck for the day when i specifically asked how long it take and they said it be 1-2 hrs now’s it’s a hold day and im out here working and cant just leave my truck for a whole day. First and last time ill ever try Firestone

Been comming here for years, came in today at 0815am and it's closed. Arturo has always been there for me. He's been the main guy I went to for all my vehicle needs. Sad to see that he's no longer here. Upper management must of took him for granted as they always do. Yall messed up losing someone who worked with integrity and honesty. Arturo was the reason why I drive all the way from spring valley. Hope he's working where he's happy.

Worst car shop in the universe. 5 horrible experiences in a row. One time they left the oil cap off, so had to have my car returned to the dealership to have the engine steam cleaned. Another time they left a tool in the engine. They never call to let you know your car won’t be ready, and never let you know they don’t even service it, until you go to pick it up 2 hours later than promised, and you need to come back to repeat the nightmare tomorrow. Avoid this place, they’ll do more damage than work.

Had a nail in my tire. Actively losing pressure. At 21 PSI and rolled in at 4 PM on a Sunday. They refused to service my tire since they were closing in an hour. Left me with little to no options but to drive 20 miles away to another Firestone. They were gracious enough to fill my tire so I could at least make the drive safely. However, the star reduction is against the corporate call center. I called them to find another Firestone that would service same day and they pointed me to one that said they would. However, by the time I got to the other one they were sending dudes home for the day and told me it would be next day. At that point I would have just gone to this local one and dealt with the overnight delay here.

This Firestone location did a great job! Had my rotors and brake pads replaced in a timely manner and was a better price than Nissan. Fernando was very helpful and made it easy to get done!

These guys refused to accept my car for an oil change and tire rotation that I had scheduled and confirmed with them online. The manager actually told me that they just kinda don't check if appointments are being scheduled online and that they "have this problem all the time." Then he told me to try the Valvoline down the block. The Valvoline did a great job.

Possibly the worst service I've ever received at any Firestone dealer. Fernando went out of his way to try and make me feel bad he went out of his way to try and embarrass me and he went so far out of his way that I went to the extent of having to complain about it. I told him that I had the flat after 6:00 p.m. last night and he told me why didn't I come in and I said because you were closed and then he said well you're the one that called me and I said yes this morning he goes no you called last night but not the case because they were already closed and when I called they didn't answer the phone the night before why he would go out of his way to make up a lie to make me feel bad I don't know and then he put my car on hold and is not doing the work and telling me it's going to be hours even though him and the three mechanics working aren't doing anything and haven't been for the whole hour that I've been here they're not working on any of the cars in the bays and they already took their lunch break and it was over when I got here. I am a sub customer. I am a Hertz rental customer hurts is paying for the service I arranged for the payment before I came to the dealership it's all approved and he went out of his way to insist that he had to take two or three hours to get the case approved so that he can put the tires on. I immediately called hers and they said not the case in this instance it's already been pre-approved all he has to do is submit the claim and it'll automatically show approved instantly. I drive for a living and when I'm not driving like right now cuz I'm sitting here at Firestone waiting I'm losing all my pay I don't get any pay I have kids they like to eat every single day I like to provide them with food to eat by doing my job and getting paid but because of the situation at Firestone I don't know if I'll even get back out to work today or not.

This place is terrible. For hertz rentals. But I also watched two people walk in and not be helped and one walk out. They refuse to call hertz if you have a unapproved voucher and hertz says they can call. And then after waiting for a whole day on a unapproved voucher you have to wait an hour to have one wheel put on the car. Prideful staff that’s not willing to listen and thinks they know everything , not open to suggestions given by rental company.

I ask if they worked on transmission and both he and his wife said yes. I told them I went through flood waters two days ago. And that my D light was blinking while the N & 2 light stayed lite up. I show them I already had a code reader done that said P0705 Transmission Range Swich. He said we have to do our own diagnostic test at $180.02. I said go ahead. They parked my van in the shop while they worked on two other car. An hour later he said what code did you get. We compared papers and they were the same code P0705. He than told me I had to take it to an transmission shop because they didn't work on transmissions there. Five days later the problem corrected itself. It just got wet going through deep waters. I'll never go to Firestone again. I don't like being lied to. So I feel I paid $180.02 for nothing.

Went to get my alignment and my car left with a worse alignment that what I came in with and after 5 hours of waiting I come to pick my car up sitting in the parking lot with the windows open and unlocked they do not care about your vehicle here

Took a van there, they found the screw in the ture and changed out my wipers. Great job. The service specialist Israel is top notch with customer service and politeness. Management material!
