I recently went to Firestone in an effort to get my mazda 3 2016 fixed from stalling and rough idling as well as check engine light being on. They ensured me to fix it all. However they fixed some of the issues but not all. I left the parking lot and less than 20 minutes later the check engine light came back on. I return to them just to be told something else was wrong in the engine and they wanted to charge me more to fix said issue. I'm very patient and not upset because shi.. happens. I just wish they told me EVERYTHING that needed to be fixed In advance and not have me drive off the lot with a check engine light.

DO NOT GO HERE. Don’t waste your time at this location. Waited 7 hours for rotors and brakes that were covered under warranty. Was given one excuse after another. Parts company took 2 hours and then didn’t bring all the parts. When they came back it took hours and then they still didn’t bring all the parts! They finally got the parts from another company that came in 5 minutes. I would give zero stars if possible. A complete waste of my entire day. No apologies from any employee. Kept blaming the time on the warranty company. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Come to Firestone for a quick oil change and maybe a tire rotation. This isn't the place for much else. It's clear that their priority is volume; they want to see as many customers and vehicles as they can in as short of a time as possible. They want to do the least amount of work possible that will get you out the door as soon as possible. Now whether this is the fault of this particular location or the corporation as a whole- I'm not sure, but I don't think it matters. I'd been coming here for my oil changes and such for a couple of years. They helped me out with some other repairs over a year ago. I ended up falling for their credit card due to those repairs being pretty pricey. This made me feel like I had to come back to Firestone anytime I needed car work done. The most recent time I came to this location, I wanted some elective work done to fix a loud vibration and sound that comes from my car. After hours of research, calling different mechanics, and speaking to family members with mechanic experience, I determined that it was my engine mounts that needed replacing. When I came to the counter to explain, the store manager proceeded to tell me that "because it's raining, we probably won't be able to hear any sound or vibration" and "old cars are just loud sometimes." The store manager did not want to replace the engine mounts as he wanted to diagnose it as some other issue. He said "I mean, we can go through with this, but it probably won't fix anything." I should have seen that red flag and ran. I said I had thought long and hard about this and I want to go through with replacing my three engine mounts, nothing more. He was only willing to replace two, but only after a full diagnostic test. I did not want a diagnostic service, however, I didn't feel like I had any choice in the matter. I passed diagnostic inspection with flying colors. Everything was fine with my car and we had set an appointment for the next week to replace those mounts. Cut to three days later, mid rush hour traffic- my power steering goes out, car quickly overheats, I pull over into some neighborhood on the side of the road and I have to wait for hours before getting towed around 11PM. Turns out, my fan belt had snapped and my water pump had failed. If you know anything about cars, you know that both of these issues tend to be gradual; you will notice a small leak from the water pump that grows over time. The belt will begin to split and fray, but it can go a while before fully snapping and failing. These issues should have been noticed during the diagnostic process that I did not want done in the first place. I'm inclined to believe that in the vein of them prioritizing volume and getting vehicles in and out as fast as possible, they either carelessly missed these issues, or noticed them but deliberately chose to ignore them. Eventually I had the two engine mounts replaced like I'd initially wanted, however, immediately after starting my car, nothing had changed. The water pump and belt were replaced and all is well otherwise as far as I know. This location has let me down time and time again, and I will not be returning. I wonder if I was a man or if I wasn't so young, I would have been treated differently here. I've finally closed my credit card with Firestone and am happy to wash my hands of it all.

Here’s your review for Google: Terrell was incredibly responsive and made sure my daughter’s tire was repaired quickly. He explained the road hazard coverage and overall warranty clearly, and walked me through all the options to resolve the issue. I had no concerns because he followed through on everything he promised and stayed in constant communication throughout the process. His professionalism gave me complete confidence in bringing my daughter’s vehicle there, even though other options were closer. Highly recommend!

I paid for my daughter’s repairs at this shop over the past couple of years. She lives out of town, 2 hours away from me and is a student at UNCG. I’ve painfully had to watch some shady practices happen with Firestone from a distance as she’s dealt with this shop in recent months. She recently had quite a lot of work done after her car broke down during rush hour traffic, 3 days after passing a “full diagnostic service” from Firestone. Interesting that her water pump and the fan belt literally failed while she was driving with no warning. We know that these should not have passed a diagnostic. On top of that, she also brought in the vehicle for a known issue of load roaring vibration, which is well documented with this make and model as it stems from the engine mounts, one specifically, needing to be replaced. Firestone didn't want to do the work at first, tried to convince her it was not an issue. Ultimately they changed their mind of course and gladly took her money. However they said the saw "nothing wrong" with 1 of the 3 engine mounts so they only replaced 2 of them. The one they left untouched is actually THE main culprit of the vibrations and roaring sounds. After these repairs were completed, and surprise, she still heard the roaring sound the moment she drove to class and it was as if nothing had changed. She took it back a few days later and they looked at it again and “found no issues”. The rep there was defensive and argued with her that it wasn’t the problem from the beginning. Today, she is in town visiting us and I had her take it to my trusted mechanic for over 13 years. He confirmed that the 2 original mounts they replaced (and charged us for) weren't the problem at all. They should have only replaced the ONE they refused to touch. Insanity! That’s pretty crooked and messed up. Who knows what other shady things are doing here. You apparently cannot trust their diagnostic testing since your car can pass only to break down 3 days later. Also, they have no problem avoiding the real problem items and will replace parts that do NOT need replacing. Without ever fixing the problems in the first place! I'm very thankful for MY trusted mechanic who charged a fraction of the price that Firestone did and actually fixed the problem within 2 hours. The vibration and roaring sound that Firestone "couldn't hear", that actually shook the rear view mirror, is now gone thanks to Quality Auto Service. Done with Firestone! Stay away if you're smart.

I usually have a halfway decent experience here, but after my most recent time here I won’t be returning. 2 days ago on my way home from work I realized I ran over a heavy duty roofing nail (has a flat metal square on the end of it which was what I saw sticking out of my tire) and I headed straight over to this Firestone after seeing it. First red flag: I called about 40 minutes prior to them closing and asked if my car was ready, and they said yes. I get there and they tell me actually my car isn’t ready, and that they have to order a new tire for my car because it couldn’t be plugged, and they didn’t have the correct size tire for my car in stock at the location. They tell me the tire should be in around 8 or 9 am the next morning. Mind you, I have to be at work at 8 the next morning, which isn’t a big deal at the time because I thought at worst I’ll get to work around 10 hopefully. The next morning, it’s 9:30-9:45 I haven’t heard from them. I call and ask about my car, they say the tire was just delivered about 15 minutes ago and they’ll be on it shortly. Hearing this I expect a call back when my car is done, right? Well 11 am comes and I call again and they tell me the car is ready. Why they didn’t call when it was done, I don’t know. I go to pick my car up, pay and get the keys, go to my car and it won’t crank!!! Mind you I just replaced the battery 2 years ago and it hasn’t given me any problems whatsoever!!!! I go to tell the guy at the desk this, they’re just like “oh that’s weird” and use a jump starter to start my car. I thought maybe my lights were left on overnight or something and didn’t think much of it, and went to work because I was 3 and a half hours late at this point. The rest of the day my car gives me no issues, but the next morning I go to leave for work and my car won’t crank. AGAIN. So I had to get a jump and bring it back hoping you know, since obviously something happened to my car in their care they wouldn’t charge me to fix it right? No. They charge me $220 for a new battery, and I feel like I don’t have any other options because I have a Firestone credit card and can’t afford to take my car elsewhere and pay out of pocket for a new battery. I would also like to mention I was a lot more polite than I should’ve been throughout this whole thing, and would like to warn any woman coming to this location to just look elsewhere if you need any kind of car work. I went in just to get a tire plugged or replaced and $320 later, I regret coming here.

I waited all day for my car to be diagnosed with needing brakes and rotors. I called the store after receiving the diagnostic via email and was told I would be contacted back as he was working on my quote. After waiting 2 hours for the returned call, I called back and was told I had to be called back again. I understand the shop may have been short staffed but the fact that the employee told me people kept walking in and he did not have time to review the parts and labor to make my quote to fix my car is unacceptable. After receiving my call back I was told give them an hour to have my air fixed which turned out to be a lie! I had to wait another 2.5 hours for the car to be completed. This is the worst customer service I have received from Firestone.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This firestone location sucks. I am in Greensboro for school and was having trouble with my car.I got my car towed to Firestone and they wouldn’t even look at it. They gave me a straight no at the door without even telling them my situation. I would never recommend anyone to go to this location ever horrible customer service.

Worst mechanics, brought for breaks now going on over 2 weeks to be done. Was told 2 days ago it was going to be done now, after they needed to reorder a part (they broke) it will take 4 more days. If your mechanic is sick be prepared to wait a while, no one can pick up his work when out for some reason.

It was a stressful day because I was from out of town and woke up with a flat tire on my car the morning I was supposed to leave and check out of my hotel, I was thankful Firestone was only down the street from the hotel I was lodging at. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Tonio helped me with what I needed and was polite and knowledgeable of tires. I had my toddler daughter who was with me as well, who was very antsy, but he spoke to her and offered her a drink, that she was so thankful for, and me too, because it cooled her off and calmed her down. The service was good, prices great, and it was relatively quick service for there to have been so many cars needing servicing. Every customer that was there was greeted with great hospitality and help from what I saw and left happy and helped!

Very sad to say I would have returned to get my battery replaced tomorrow, however I will be returning with GPD. Today by far was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever experienced!! I was treated well upon arrival, I told Trell everything I was there for prior to us speaking on the phone before I came. He told me i could come but they closed at 6. I got up right away and headed there “He was aware” I was here to get 2 new tires. Which my tires were are all practically new!! I originally wanted to go get 1 replaced since I ran over a nail & had it plugged once before, but why not just get both front tires replaced so I could also have a spare. I knew my tires were in great condition so I wanted to make my previous one on the driver’s side a spare. All of this was clear before i went to starbucks to waste some time. As I came back I proceed to pay and check out & i asked if the “right tire was put in the car” meaning the “correct tire”. Stay with me I was told that my tire was in the car. I check the tire immediately I notice this is not the correct tire, it’s actually the tire that’s already plugged and has a nail it. I ask trell where is the other tire ( driver side) he took off my car he said he didn’t know. Trell took complete advantage of me and proceeds to give me many excuses and no tire…….. I ask for the tire again and excuses first He tells me he scrapped it already but it hasn’t even been 15 minutes since the end of my service. I asked him was that the right tire in the car? Meaning the correct tire which was told to him multiple times and times again. My tires is still brand new so I want to keep them, take the one that’s been plugged. After some time Trell Brings me a old dirty tire no tread a gash and tells me it’s no point of keeping it but this my tire deal with it or buy a $40 used tire LIKE WHAT. I wanted to keep my tire because I knew it was still in great condition and I could keep it in case of emergency. MIND you it’s close to closing time so he closes shop gets in his car drive away and leave me with the tire that I know it not my original tire on my car. I will be back tomorrow PLEASE ALL WOMEN be careful this is a prime example of why we stay away from thieving auto shops like this Firestone location on west market !!

The location on Gate City Blvd didn't accurately advise of all the details needed for me to make an informed decision on a suggested repair when they serviced my car 8 months ago. When having my car serviced at the Market Street location I had no choice but to make a decision to get a costly repair that could have been avoided if I was given the correct advice at the Gate City Blvd location at the time of service.As such the staff at the Market Street location were very helpful and repaired my vehicle in a timely manner and that location will be getting my business and referrals from now on.

I was traveling from Ohio to North Carolina when my alternator decided to act up in my 2019 Land Rover Discovery. My car completely died when I got to my destination. I called everywhere around me and not one place could get me in to replace the alternator….until I spoke to Terrance at Firestone. He empathized with my situation and got me in same day. They were confident and super nice to deal with. Plus they were cheaper than the dealership, which is always a plus. Thank you again for getting me back on the road!

They messed up installing my tires. I had a flat on front driver side. I ask to get two new tiers on the front. When I picked it up the new tiers were on the back and they moved one of old tires from back and left my old tire on the front passenger side that I wanted replace.
