What do you do when your dash board lights up like the fireworks on the Fourth of July? You pray to GOD that you can make it to the Firestone on Farmington Ave in Bristol, CT before all of the pops and explosions start. That’s what happened to my Honda last week, every light on the dashboard was blinking and flashing. After a day of analysis, it turned out that there was a breathing hose with a hole in it and then a computer chip that needed to be replaced along with it. I didn’t know whether to hold my breath or hold my ankles as this was surely going to cost thousands and thousands. The car is a 2016 and had $258k miles, and most of all I don’t have the money or the life expectancy to buy a new car. Then came the call this morning. It was like finding out I won the billion dollar lottery. Everything is fixed and it’s all for under $400. Yes, ALL for under $400. My car had a dead battery that AAA jumpstarted but could not replace. I drove into Firestone and they were able to take me immediately and find a battery replacement. Easy peasy!

Was there for several hours for an oil change with an appointment scheduled. Appointment time came and went and my car was still not touched and no one ever said a word. I understand repairs can take longer than expected and things get backed up but no one even said they were running behind or anything. They also quoted me for over $1k in repairs that are unneeded. I got my car checked by a trusted mechanic who load tested my battery (they said it needed replaced) and the battery is fine. Ball joints and alignment service. Both are fine and passed inspection in the state my car is registered to. Will never be back to Firestone even for something as simple as an oil change.

Bristol’s Firestone Service Center is a place I trust for both tires and auto service. The prices are reasonable and the staff always fully explain everything to me.

PLEASE STAY AWAY!! Went in to get a nail taken out of my tire on 11/27/2024. They tried to say my breaks were grinding to which a disagreed. Other than a slight squeak I have had no problems with my breaks! I LEFT DROVE DOWN THE STREET AND NOW HEAR THE LOUDEST GRINDING I EVER HEARD. These people intentionally screwed up my breaks on a routine tire fix. I’m not saying every Firestone is like this but please don’t turn a 20$ problem into a 900. I now have to go to a different dealer to have my breaks fixed CRAZY!

I walked in yesterday with a flat tire and walked out an hour later with my tire fixed. They did not question the luxury of my car. They took my keys and fixed my problem. I appreciate them so much because I had my kids with a flat tire, 25 minutes from home. Hands-down, the best Firestone experience I have ever had.

These guys are great. Came in for an issue with my lug nuts. They said they didn't know if they could fix the issue, but they were able to fix the issue and sent me on my way. They got the job done fast and were very good about the communication on what they were trying to do as well.

Went in for an oil change and someone forgot to put in the oil. I had to rush to another shop a month later because my engine was empty. That wasn't very nice. 🙃

Outstanding Reputation! I went in to have 2 New Tires, Oil Change, Front End Alignment, and Wheel Alignment a week ago. Jim was outstanding helping us make the best selections. I found coupons online, but Tim beat the coupons on each type of service. I was also given a Military Discount too. Tim followed through and advised me to get a slightly better tire and to replace all 4. He was absolutely 💯 percent right on the advisement. Brandon and Tim both went out of their way to clear up an issue with my Firestone Credit Card. The issue got resolved within minutes. I was expecting to pay a slight high cost for everything. I got 4 New All Season Tires, Oil Changed, Front End Alignment, and Wheel Alignment for just around $600.00 Of course this was with discounts and paying with Firestone Credit Card. The Impala runs again like a boat running on the water, smooth and effective. Thank you again Tim and Brandon.

Put in sub par aftermarket brake parts.... brakes squeal and they couldn't figure out that the parts the put on were bad. Customer lost for this buisness.. Brought vehicle to another Firestone.... same issue. Brought vehicle to dealership and paid again for breaks to be done with correct parts.... no issues now.

This LOCATION does NOT do EMISSIONS TESTING only repairs!!! The gentleman at the front desk is very polite and professional though! Plainville is the closest location.

I am an nemt driver. In my line of work time is very valuable. Was finished earlier than I assumed it would take for someone who was a walk-in. From the first moment I walked in till they were done the people helping me were very informative and helpful to explain to me certain things that were going on with the product that I had to have changed. Even though there was an issue trying to charge my company for the job they worked tirelessly to find out how to do it which they did not stop trying to figure it out until they successfully found out how to charge the company which I am very grateful for. This Firestone like many others, not all but many others, was one of the best experiences I had. Thank you

I’ve been to other places who have not fixed my car and overcharge. Firestone is great. They help you out when they can give you coupons when they can. Took my son's car in for the back brakes they were making quite a bit of noise... 2 hours later they told me they have finished checking his car out and that the back calibers were frozen and he needed new ones along with new rotors,pads and that the brake fluid hoses both in the front and back were about to burst, they also gave me a list of other things that would need to be done soon including the front brakes.. the front brakes had just been done 6 months ago so I know that they did t need to be done... I told them to only do the brake hoses from and back and to do the back brakes pads and rotors....was quoted $1,926.17 Thought that was quite a bit but figured he needed it done and didn't have the time to wait to take it to his normal macanic so I said ok.... Had to wait another 2 1/2.hours so at this point when they were done I just wanted to hold and didn't look at the receipt until I got home. Well they changed the front brake pads and rotors... So that price I was quoted and paid wasn't for what I told them to do... I know there's not much to do about it cause there on there now , but hopefully this will help other people to double triple check if they go there to make sure they do what you ask... Would of saved me $669

Brought my car in for diagnostic because engine light was on. About an hour after I dropped the car off they called me with results, work that needed to be done, and price of part and repair. I’ve found my location is professional with great customer service and I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Always liked Firestone and never had an issue with them until I moved here to CT. First tried the Bristol location and I found it odd they didn’t know how to open the glove box. So had to tell them to press the button that literally says Glove Box to open it. Whatever. Not a real problem. But the lug nut key is in the glove box. Then they tell me my key is gone and they can’t rotate my tires. Needless to say, I leave NOT having my car taken care of in the least bit. Only to get home, open my glove box just to check and wouldn’t you know, it’s in there. So haven’t been back there because that was no help and a waste of my time. Now let’s try the Southington location …..

Can't say enough. Good stuff about the manager. David was very kind and understanding. Walk me through everything and even gave me a little discount. I guess cause I was a senior citizen LO. L, but putting that aside, they were very professional. The place was extraordinarily clean and the bathroom was really clean too. Period I bought a alignment package so I will be going there in the future. Nice people.
