Please be wary of any “diagnostic” at this Firestone location. I took my car here on a Wednesday. I said to the service advisor, Jason: “I would like an oil control valve replacement. Can you do that?” My check engine light was on, so I had gotten a computerized scan at O’Reilly’s, and it indicated red and urgent, and to immediately service the car and get an oil control valve replacement. I went to the nearest auto repair shop that I could get to, and that was Firestone in Bloomfield. The service advisor talked me into paying for a diagnostic, explaining that their diagnostic would be better, more accurate, and more comprehensive than a computerized scan, which is an "approximation". I hesitated, but agreed to the diagnostic, which was $111.40 and took over 3 hours to complete. From there, they said that they needed to remove and replace the camshaft positions/sensors and that would fix the problem. They also said I needed an oil change and rear brakes replaced. I did agree on the oil change, but said I would wait on the brakes. Several hours later and $921.22, I drove off. The check engine light went back on the next day. I went back to Firestone on Friday, and explained to them that I need an oil control valve replacement. They said they would do another diagnostic. I waited around the whole day. They did a system re-learn, and determined that the problem was fixed. They said that if the issue persisted, they would charge $528 for an exhaust solenoid (aka oil valve replacement), but that the car should be fine. On Monday, the check engine light went on AGAIN. I called Firestone to inquire why I had paid so much for a diagnostic and services that were not determined to be needed by the scan. They said that they would look into it and work with the manager to get it fixed. I have yet to hear from the manager. Meanwhile, my car is in desperate need of service. I ended up going to another repair shop, where they did a diagnostic. They determined that I needed - you guessed it - an OIL CONTROL VALVE REPLACEMENT, as the solenoid VVTs were in need of repair. They also determined that the sensors that were removed and replaced by Firestone were an unnecessary procedure. All of this time, I have poured in over $1000 at Firestone, spent two entire days sitting around at their shop while waiting for my car, and have still had to spend an entire week driving to and from work, running errands, and going back and forth to auto repair shops, with a car that is in dire need of immediate attention.

I went in for a set of tires and Angel helped me he was very professional and very knowledgeable about the brand of tires I was purchasing I am definitely coming back to this location and recommending my Friends and family to come see Angel at Firestone

2000 dollars for an oil filter housing replacement. They replaced it with the upgrade aluminum one that costs no more than 300 dollars and comes with the filter and intake manifold gaskets even some come with the oil and coolant sensor which I was charged for separately as well. 20 dollar part and charged 120. Was charged separately for the filters and intake manifold gaskets that come with the housing as well. I would not take your vehicle here especially if you are a woman who knows nothing about vehicles. I could see 900-1000 because you have to take intake manifold off to get to the housing but the upcharge on the parts is unbelievable.

Had a appointment to change a light bulb at 8am...It turned into over 7 hours just for bullshit. They walked around as if they were clueless. A waste of time sitting here,people were sitting for hours when it didn't take that long. It doesn't take 7+ hours to change tires and a light bulb. Total rip off

The reps were very respectful and knowledgeable. I originally went for just tires and told them I had a budget. They were able to find tires within my price range. They also pointed out a safety concern that needed to be fixed from doing a courtesy check. I was able to get that fixed in a timely manner and it was cheap. Overall the experience was worth it and it did not take all day. Always ask about discounts, because they have quite a few and ask about their Firestone Card!

Was just terrible. Went to get a belt fixed and an oil change done and my car came back with its front speakers not working. They said to come back to get it looked at I can back and showed the guy and in a minute he said there’s nothing they can do. I left work just to be told that in a minute.

Prior to now I have had no issues with bringing our cars to Firestone but this will be our last visit. I called about bringing my car in for its 60,000 mile service and mentioned my concern that the dealer recommended a lot of services and I didn't know which I really needed. The person on the phone assured me that only the services needed would be recommended - firestone doesn't go off mileage. Well Firestone recommended new wiper blades (part of the 60,000 mile recommendations) however my husband had just recently replaced those. So they did in fact not need to be done but yet Firestone recommended that despite their assurances. When my car was being serviced I asked the gentleman the time frame and he said 4 hours. I said I only have 2 - so please do what can be done in 2 and then I will bring the car back for the rest. He assured me that he would make it happen, however 3 hours later, my car was finished. While I appreciate they got the work done, I really did need to be out of there in 2 hours and felt that wasn't respected.

From the initial contact to book an appointment, through the whole process of being there for the oil change, and then payment, was flawless. As opposed to a dealership, Firestone does not pressure you into needless service, the wait time is much shorter than the dealership, the price for the actual service is very fair, and the employees are friendly, helpful and supportive - it is why I always return to Firestone - quality and value combined -

Over the years, it's becoming even more clear that Firestone prices have gone up that's no longer competitive. Being told to pay $4k to replace oil gasket seals is just ridiculous. Went to the dealer and their price is $1k less!! I find it hard to go back to this company or recommend.

Bad Experience at Firestone in Bloomfield. I brought my car in the other day to have Firestone in Bloomfield patch a tire. I was told that the screw was too large and it could therefore not be done so I would need to buy 2 new tires plus alignment, etc. Didn't make sense to me so I left. The next morning I brought the car to another tire repair company and the tire was easily patched! I wasn't given an honest appraisal at Firestone but was given the upsell instead! I will never go back to Firestone in Bloomfield.

This was my first time getting an oil change at Firestone and it will probably be my last. I had an appointment at 1:30pm for an oil change and did not end up leaving the shop until after 3:30pm. I’m no mechanic, but I don’t think it takes that long to do an oil change. Had I not asked one of the workers what was the status on my car, I think I would have been there longer.

Can I give 0? I gave both Andrew and Levi an opportunity to rectify a mess up because I believe that no company would be purposely not do work or do work completely. Unfortunately this Firestone location not only didn’t do work schedule, they left my sons vehicle in worse shape than when it arrived. I schedule a synthetic oil change and a tire rotation. My son was overcharged for the oil change and they NEVER even did the rotation. He had to go back for a price adjustment and the rotation. If not already ridiculously frustrating we then noticed one of his tire plugs MISSING and oh yeah NOW a puddle of oil wherever he parks. I spoke to the store manager initially he was not willing to help or come to a resolution- basically not his problem-he was flip and rude and unprofessional. He told me I’d have to speak to Levi. Levi adjusted the bill slightly but still incorrect and the services weren’t done or done properly. We are headed to our trusted mechanic now! Ty for NOTHING Firestone. Never again and I will share my experience 💯 I trusted you to work on my 20 yo son’s vehicle. A vehicle that gets forth back and forth to work and college. This place is a liability waiting - very concerning! Go anywhere else!

Terrible customer service. Used the online platform to request an appointment. The automatic email reply states that a member from the store will reach out if they CANNOT hold your appointment at that time. I received no response beyond this automatic email. Morning of the appointment I called to confirm and was placed on hold for 7 minutes until their software auto hung up on me. I showed up a few hours later for my appointment time, and was told they had no availability but I could leave my car and they’d try to sneak me in. When I asked how long, the guy told me all day and said he wasn’t sure if they could even get to it. If you’re going to use an online platform to book appointments then ACTUALLY use it. If you want people to call and make an appointment then HAVE SOME ONE ON THE PHONES. Took my business elsewhere, won’t be coming back.

Always late! It doesn't matter what they tell you... even if you make an appointment in person...even if you drop the vehicle off the night before... plan on them being LATE! And not by a little, by 3hrs after their promised pickup time.
