I used the chat option on his website to get a quote for diagnosing a problem. We agreed on the price and location/time for him to inspect my car. He was supposed to arrive at my home at noon. I texted him around 10:30 am and he said that his work truck was having transmission problems. I was okay taking my car to his location, but he never responded with the address or time. I lost over an hour trying to find a new mechanic. The main issue I had is being a mechanic you can tell when the transmission isn't working properly. The other issue is he didn't call or text to reschedule. Just a total disrespect all around. I highly suggest that if you schedule an appointment follow up daily or you may be without a car and wasted time .

My daughter's alternator went out and left her stranded in Austin. I searched on Google for mobile mechanics in Austin. Started calling down the list. No answer after No answer. Until I got to Fajkus Mobile Auto Repair! Joseph was very prompt considerate and attentive to our needs. He fixed our daughter's car the same night! He also gave us a very fair price! If your ever broken down in Austin call Joseph first!

Joseph was hired to install ignition coils on our van, and not only did not complete the job properly but then became deceptive about it. He was clearly distracted and agitated during the job, arguing loudly on the phone with someone almost the whole time he worked on the vehicle. I finally had to ask him to stop the inappropriate conversation and focus on the job, which he did for a moment.... then went right back to it. He works and shouts for a few hours, and after he gets it all put back together and asks for payment I see he left out multiple parts and a bracket when reassembling the vehicle, and when I pointed this out he tried to tell me the job was done despite this. Then started a whole series of lies about the previous mechanic (?) the part already not being installed etc, while becoming increasingly agitated. It was nonsense. I paid him in paypal to get him out of there before he got even worse or violent, and am now in the process of disputing the charges with paypal. We were truly desperate and had no choice...but if you can, avoid this guy.

My truck wasn’t starting while at a gas station.. I could’ve towed it to a mechanic but Joe saved me a lot of time and responded to my request within ten minutes, knew what was wrong, and got the job done. Thanks!

10/10 would recommend. Let me just start off but saying I read a lot of reviews before I called and I don’t see how he has any negative reviews. And to the person who complained because “he said his car broke down” all cars break down just because he is a mechanic doesn’t mean his car will never break down. When I called at 6pm he came as soon as possible after his work hours and looked at my car. The next day he was here bright and early to fix everything on the car that needed to be fixed. He was quick and efficient. And I’m grateful because I’m in my 3rd trimester and have back to back appointments and other places that would have over charged me couldn’t even get me in until Wednesday because of Presidents’ Day. He even used his discount for me for the parts I need from the auto parts store. He was nice and respectful, charged a more then fair price and I don’t think I will ever go to someone else for car problems. AGAIN 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Me and my wife were on our way back home from a family emergency, we had lost our daughter at Dell's Children's Hospital the night before we were on our way back home to San Angelo. My truck broke down half hour outside of Austin at Liberty Hill. I knew it was my lift pump because it wasn't kicking on and so I knew there was lack of power I just didn't know why. I had told this to a different mobile company and they were going to have us get the truck towed to their shop and probably we would have had to get an Uber to meet them at the truck so with the mechanic costs and the tow, we're probably looking around maybe $1,000 easily. Well they took about 5 hours to finally get back to me with a quote just for the tow. So I called up Joshua and his mobile mechanic service. We went over there on Monday when my truck broke down on Sunday but I was too tired to even want to call anybody so I wait till next morning. He picked me up took me to the truck we diagnosed it which I knew it was the lift pump but I didn't have my own tools to do anything about it but we got her done by next Wednesday because we're waiting for a part for a new lift pump but found out that it was a power problem that we could not figure out instead of a part problem which is okay it happens now I got a extra lift pump just in case if that one takes a crap out of me. It happens, and I do not blame him for that or anything like that and so I'm just happy that we were able to figure out it was just a power problem through the wiring system that we just could not figure out it would take too long to figure out anyways. So that Wednesday on a cold windy day we just wanted to get that truck started and by golly Joshua got that truck started couldn't figure out the wiring problem but we hot wired it at least to the fuse box to get that some beach started and was able to get these mourning parents and our dog home safe and sound which we did. If it wasn't for them we would have spent more money than we needed and probably would have had to been here longer than we had to, we thank Joshua Monica and their awesome dog Draco for being there for us and also gave us a awesome price which we at least gave him a tip on top of what they were going to charge us because we were super grateful and they were very empathetic towards our situation. I would recommend them again at any time.

Has done several jobs for me, including motor mounts, O2 sensors, timing belt, pulleys, camshaft ring, water pump, and fixed my window operating panel so not just a mechanic. My battery died on me one night out in Elgin and I called him and he was there in less than 45 minutes at 11pm at night. Always friendly and willing to go above and beyond. Thanks Fajkus..

Man he saved my life. The day before new years he had me pull up to the shop got my car fixed within 45 mins and I was able to bring in the new year with my girlfriend. Highly Recommend!!!!

My experience was awesome...The mechanic is very respectful and gracious...I explained my issue to him and he fixed the problem in literally 5 mins. Of course the time varys for different issues but he knew immediately what was wrong with my truck. Very grateful to have found this individual and he is definitely my new go to mechanic. A++++++ All the way. awesome job. Fast and efficient service all the way. 👍

Use this mechanic! He is trustworthy, smart, and friendly. I was very impressed with how quickly he helped me. I reached out with my issues Wednesday, we scheduled an appointment thursday, he showed up within 5-10 mins of the appointment time and got to work fixing my car. Thank you Joseph very much! WARNING! This guy is a joke. He was a no show twice and literally disappeared on me. He told me the first time that he fell asleep at 4pm? Who says that? Then the 2nd time he just never showed up. I sense some serious disorders with him. Don’t waste your time. He’s super shady! Be careful.

Joseph is dependable, knowledgeable, honest, reasonable & Convenient. He explained everything he was doing and why. Not only did I never have leave the house - all of his diagnosis were correct and he repaired a Distributor on one vehicle and blown freeze plugs on another @ a big savings over traditional Auto Shops. Called him to do brakes on a Chevy Tahoe; 72 hours later the work was still not done; he said his car overheated; his dog had a sore foot; he got in a wreck(no damage to his vehicle). He took apart the wheels on back of vehicle left it off; ran around took out battery; tried to replace ignition in key; said his scanner died and he couldn't finish. He quoted $185-charged me $300; returned my key ignition and had OReilly give him cash pocketed the money; 3 days later the work was not finished and he wanted to bill me more. The brakes were never finished; the car didn't run. His "significant othner" showed up and they pocketed the keys and wanted to charge me "$time for their work-when they never did any work; Police were called. she pushed me, threatened me. Worst experience ever. I called a good mechanic. He looked at the work-showed me where he didn't even install the brake pads, left off washers, installed what they did wrong. I had to have it towed off at another $210.00. So $almost $600 dollars and 3 days later I had to start over RESPONSE TO HIS RESPONSE- THIS COST ME NEARLY $600 AND I HAVE RECEIPTS OF THE NEW MECHANIC REDOING EVERYTHING YOU "SAID YOU DID" YOUR BID WAS $185.00 MY COST TO YOU AND I HAVE PROOF OVER $600 AND HAD TO TOW THE CAR-I HAVE EXTENSIVE RECEIPTS IN ADDITON TO THE PART OF MINE YOU RETURNED POCKETED THE MONEY AND MADE ME BUY A NEW PART. - DISHONEST

My son took his 1 yr old son to a clinic in Austin, TX with an ear ache. When he finished, his car would not start after replacing battery just two days before. I went down to Austin to give him some help. After determining we needed a mobile mechanic, I called 8 mobile mechanic shops who said they did not have an available to send. I finally connected with Joseph, who said he would be there in about 30 to 40 minutes. This was about 4:45 pm, almost quiting time. Guess that's why all others did not want to do it. After determining the starter was the problem, Joseph spent the next 4 hours removing old starter, calling several auto parts stores to find a replacement. Finally finding one, he got the car back on the road so my son and grandson back home before bed time. Joseph's servant attitude was apparent. If you ever break down in Austin, Tx, don't waist your time any other mobile service. Just call Joseph. He will show up!!

I ran into Joseph at Pep Boys. I am sprucing up the engine of my 1995 Ford Explorer. I am not a mechanic, but I am trying to do this myself. Joseph is just what I need. He has an in-depth knowledge of the effects one part may have on other parts. He is friendly. He is willing to answer questions. He had the exact tool I needed to get past the problem. We had Joseph give a pre-owned car we were purchasing a look over, and he quickly identified a couple issues we would not have noticed to have the seller replace or fix before finalizing the sale. He saved us hundreds of dollars on the spot. His service charge was more than fair, and I was very impressed. I would not only recommend his service to others, but will consider taking my vehicles to him, should they require future work.

I was very pleased with the response, service, information and price of the repair. Joe came at night in the rain and got my car ready to roll for the morning commute. He even showed how to do another repair myself on struts that hold the hood up. I will certainly use his service again.

I owned an auto shop in my past and know a thing or two... Joseph knows his sh--! my friends truck needed some work and was not road worthy so i called joseph and he worked all afternoon and got it all fixed.. his prices are very very reasonable but the best thing about him is his attitude and knowledge!
