I love this auto repair shop. I have an older car and I have had work done at many shops in the Northern Virginia area. This is by far the best shop I've taken my car to in regard of quality of work, quality of communication, and price. They have my business forever - My car is over 17 years old but it feels like a new car after the work they've done. Highly recommend.

Customer service was exemplary! I had a bad experience with a dealership and was stuck with the repairs, in stepped Fairfax Auto Repair to save the day. The work and diagnostics was accurate and high quality. They fixed all the electrical bugs and I was back on the road sooner than expected! Will be returning before I get on my roadtrip.

Another great experience at Fairfax Salvage and Auto! We took a new to us car in to have tires put on but didn’t have the security key for the lug nuts. They contacted the previous owner, who is also a customer, and got the key! Then, they found 4 regular lug nuts in their yard to replace the security ones for us. Great service!!!

Fairfax Auto has recently serviced my BMW 335i and VW Golf TDI and provided outstanding service. The best part is how they break down what your car needs to have done immediately and what the costs are and the associated repairs that your car will need soon and what to expect for those costs. The individualized service and quality of service and interaction with the mechanics working on my car make for a far superior experience than taking it to the dealership where I'm not really certain what work was done and why with the associated additional costs. Thank you, you put the FAIR in Fairfax!

I was very happy with the service. I got a thorough assessment in the form of written report, with photos of the issues of the used car I was considering to purchase. Additional details were explained to me in the phone call. The service man was very patient and discussed different alternatives for repair with me. The service was excellent and timely.

Fairfax Auto Repair diagnosed a problem with the 'computer' on my Subaru, and advised me that it was probably covered under an extended warranty from the manufacturer. Sure enough, I took the car to a Subaru dealership, and the problem was corrected at no cost. I'm very grateful to Fairfax Auto for doing the right thing, and helping me get the best repair at the lowest cost, regardless whether they directly benefitted. I'll continue to use Fairfax Auto as my first choice in maintenance and repairs.

Found my new favorite place to take my Mini Cooper! Scheduling an appointment is super easy and the staff were very nice and accommodating. The oil service was done in a very timely manner and free wifi and coffee while you wait - what more could you ask for! :) I will surely be coming back here for my future Mini services.

I brought my recently purchased used car to Fairfax Auto to have a complete inspection done. They did a very thorough job and gave me a very complete report. The waiting room was very comfortable, and the staff were very nice. I will definitely bring my cars there for any work that I need to have done in the future. I feel like they are a very honest shop that will take very good care of my vehicles.

My Chevy van could not pass the emissions inspection required for renewal of the registration. The team at Fairfax Auto Repair found and fixed the fault. Our van passed with flying colors the emissions inspection. Pretty happy!!!

I felt like they did a great job explaining what was wrong with my car and detailing what work NEEDED to be done and what work could wait, which I appreciated as somebody who does not know much about cars nor takes care of my car well. I would go back!

I had a wonderful experience at Fairfax Auto Repair. I came in for a second quote and they were attentive, took the time to explain the issues with my car and quick with the repairs when I gave my approval. They were considerate, had fair pricing and I never felt pressure or strong armed. VERY pleased with my service and will be returning for future car needs.

Steve and team were extremely helpful, investigating an issue I’d noticed and giving me a second opinion on some other maintenance needs. They documented some of their findings in photos and were thorough in discussing an ideal repair and maintenance schedule.

They got us in immediately, did a huge 105K maintenance on our Odyssey for a reasonable price, and had the car back to us quickly while maintaining contact with us the whole time. They gave us recommendations on what to do in the future and how well our 2015 car should fair from a maintenance standpoint. Since they didn't have good access to the tires we wanted on the car, which were much pricier than the ones they offered, they recommended we try our preferred source for those, Costco. It was as pleasant as could be when parting with lots of money to fix up an older car, which is always stressful. They were very flexible and I was impressed with their attention to detail and securing the vehicle. It is a real small business experience where you get the idea they really care for their customers and want them to come back.
