I have been to this shop before and they have always been very nice but I recently had a bad experience with someone named JD or Jay D short white male at the front desk . He took a long time to assist me or even acknowledge that I was their. He was very rude and I felt like he didn’t want to help me. I asked him if someone could check my tires for any leaks and he went on telling me I needed new sensors before even looking at my tires. Then after he finally decided to actually listen to what I needed he told me it would taken a long time to check my tires. I will not go back their again .

When Shawn and Anthony were working there it was wonderful. My family has gone here for over a decade. This new manager is as sketchy as it gets. I've never had an issue with Expert or my car until he started running the store. I've had two major issues since he became manager within a year's time. The first issue was with my breaks and rotors. I needed them changed so I went in and purchased new ones from them. When I picked up my car I barely noticed a difference with driving between the new and old. I drive my car for a living so I rack up miles quick and after a few thousand miles I noticed it was still the same. I took it back in and explained to them what was going on. The manager tried to tell me I had driven 60,000 miles on my car already and that is why my breaks and rotors needed changed. Luckily I still had the paperwork they gave me of what my mileage was when I got it changed and I could prove to them I had only driven a few thousand miles. He reluctantly changed my breaks and rotors again but I don't believe he ever changed them in the first place. Most recently I took my car in to get new tires and a new serpentine belt. I took the car in and they did what I asked. When I went to pick up the car the check engine light was on. I couldn't go in right away to talk to him because I had an important vet appointment for my cat that was ill. So I just had to call the store on the way to the vet and let him know my check engine light was on and that it wasn't on before taking it in and what was the problem with it. He told me it wasn't a big deal and just needed reset. I said ok I'll just come in when I get my oil changed because I need one soon. Over the next month my car was leaking oil in the driveway after all this happened. I was almost out of oil completely and I went in and told him exactly what I said here. He instantly got defensive and said there is no way a serpentine belt change could have done this. I told him I didn't have this issue prior to taking it in for service nor was the check engine light on prior and clearly something happened while at the shop. He said ok and he would look at it and then let me know. I asked the GM to call me and he called me later. The GM said the same garbage to me but assured me he would call me after they had figured out the issue. Neither of them had the balls to call me back and instead I got a text to approve or disprove the maintenance. The issue they claimed was wrong with my oil leak was a leaking lower oil pan gasket. Now if this man was smart he would have just changed it for me because the price of the part for my old Toyota is $40 because they CLEARLY did something wrong at the shop to cause this when I went in. It isn't a coincidence that my oil started leaking and my check engine light came on instantly after taking it in and picking it up from the shop. Instead he wanted to charge me $400 to fix the issue they caused. In short if you want them to mess your car up then go ahead and come here.

Sorry, I was just there with a friend dropping off her mother's van to have the window fixed, motor to roll it up and down went out. I do know Julie said they were very courteous and as far as I know they did a good job. Sorry I'm not more help

As a 77 year old, with a 10 year old Sonata and a 2003 F150, I have used many of the better known auto repair shops in town. Typically I would stay with a shop for 3-5 years or more, until something would change in the way the priced their services or key personnel would leave, causing a downgrade in their level of service. Several years ago I stumbled upon Expert Auto on East Central and took my vehicle in for repair. I had gotten quotes from 3 other well known shops, which were several hundred dollars more than Expert...Good enough for me and used Expert. They did not disappoint, and I have been using them ever since. As a businessman, I am in the habit of getting competitive quotes when I know exactly what is needed and am able to call around to different shops. Expert is always more reasonable. After several repairs I became so comfortable with them that I don't even question what they are charging me. I know they are extremely fair and honest with an absolute commitment to securing long term customers who will keep coming back without reservation. When I first started using Expert, Shawn was running the East Central location and I developed a great relationship with him, as if he were a good friend. After a couple of years, he was transferred to their downtown location which disappointed me. But not for long, since the same cordial and caring treatment was carried forward by Anthony, who also moved on a year or so ago. Next came Tommy who is currently running that shop. I have had a couple instances where Tommy didn't feel that charging me would be appropriate in the big picture, and they have done some work at no labor charge (only the parts which had to be purchased by the shop). Talk about integrity. So changes in personnel does not cause a downgrade in the level of their service or attitude, over long periods of time. A few months ago, I had one situation in which the East Central shop felt that they didn't have the right tech in the shop to do a certain job on my truck (rare situation for them), so Tommy suggested I use their downtown location since he knew they had someone on staff who could more efficiently address my repair. He was absolutely right. To further confirm my confidence in Expert Auto, this past week my wife's 2012 Sonata needed new brakes (grinding). I was told that I needed new pads AND rotors on all 4 wheels, which was going to cost me $932. At the same time they said my front CV axle assemblies likely needed replacing for $925 (180,00 miles on them) since they were throwing off internal grease which is a sign of degradation. I told Tommy to proceed with the brakes and rotors for now and I would address the axle assemblies next month. This presented me with an opportunity to prove a family member wrong when he adamantly insisted that I should switch to his favorite shop, Myers Automotive (after I told him about the axle assemblies needing replacement). First, I have to say that Myers is an excellent shop with a solid reputation. I thought, Hmmm...here is a good time to compare two known repairs with Expert against Myers for the brakes and rotors and the upcoming CV axle assemblies. WOW, was I surprised. I expected somewhat of a close comparison but it was not. Myers quoted $1557 for the 4 brakes and rotors ($632 more than Expert) and they quoted $1342 for the 2 axle assemblies ($409 more than Expert). SO, with my many repair experiences with Expert over several years, I always leave with a smile on my face knowing that they were extremely fair in their prices, and the fact that the ownership of this 5 location shop is committed to maintaining continuity of service, training, and shop management staffing. No surprise that they were voted the #1 Repair shop in Wichita in 2023.

Visiting here in Wichita because my Mom is having heart surgery, rental car has a tire issue. This is the closest place to the hospital, and these fine gentleman took care of this issue quickly and kindly. Very grateful to find such a wonderful place, many blessings to these great folks!

Will always be taking my car here! I needed my oil pressure sensor replaced and originally tried taking it to the Hyundai dealership who kept my car overnight to diagnose it and then wanted to charge me $650 to replace. Called Expert Auto at 8:30 this morning to get a second quote and they got me right in and only had my car for less than 3 hours and charged me less than $130. Great customer service and highly impressed! Will be recommending this place to all I know!

Excellent shop and excellent service. I called them before I got off work to get my freon charged. They told me if I could come in now they could fit me in, otherwise I would have to schedule an appt. I got there and they serviced my vehicle right away and they were having a special for $65 plus the freon. I used 2lbs and they only charged me for 1.5lbs! They also told me I had a leak and put some dye in the coolant system so next time they can find the leak and repair it. I will definitely be going back!

Needed a headlight replaced. None of the dealers in town could get me in. Expert got me in the same day I called. I will definitely go there for all my auto needs! Don't know what to say about the service they provide. Tommy and Al are wonderful!

A week ago I was so worried about my 2008 Ford Escape hybrid. I made an appointment with Tommy and his crew and they took note of every issue I wanted to get looked at. Tommy was so good at listening to all the details I provided and gave me back very educated and thorough responses. It wasn't long till they notified me my car was ready to pick up and turns out I had nothing to worry about. They put my worries to rest. I know I will returning here for my future mechanic needs! He was able to clear out my sunroof ducts (a large internal leak), add freon to enhance the AC (lack of cool air), and review an ignition issue(delayed start-up). Thank you team!

I initially went to Firestone to repair my tire. They told me I had to wait multiple days until I could get it fixed. So I went here and they were able to fix my tire within 20 minutes. When it was done, they didn't charge me anything. I will definitely be coming back here from now on!

I went in to get an alignment. Was told they couldn't do it because they would need to shim the back end up to make it work and align properly, it would still drive funny even if I payed over $400 to do that. Went to the dealership, had my car for 2 days thoroughly checking my car out, and said there is nothing wrong with my cars back end. Here we will show you and then went to detail on showing me and said it would be no problem to align my vehicle properly. He didn't understand why I was told that unless I was being scammed.. Trying to scam money out of me because I am a female?

My car wasn’t running for almost two weeks, I called multiple places to help me figure out what was wrong with my car, no one could. My first time to Expert Auto..took my Subaru in for a routine oil change. It had been serviced by the dealer since new. The oil pan drain plug was damaged. Expert Auto replaced it with a new one at no cost. And….as I was waiting for them to finish, my niece came in with a flat tire. She lives nearby and was dropping it off. As I was paying for the oil change, I asked them to include her tire repair in my bill. The gentleman said it was only a nail hole and they would repair it for free. Again, completely unexpected. Deserve six stars.
