Love the customer service and quality work that I received here.

These guys are ok, but, my 2006 E350 4matic was there for well over 4 months. It needed transmission repairs, 4 different transmissions were ordered before we found one worthy of installing. (Maybe find another parts source). It was installed. Fine. Was told brake sensors were bad, replaced, check brakes warning still flashing. That alone was over $700, turns out, that's not the problem. They throw darts and miss the target. They then wanted to trace back my wiring harness to see if it was the problem and if it wasn't they still wanted me to pay $300 for looking. They didn't have a clue but wanted me pay for willy-nilly searches. After taking the car home, something started to shake and make noise. Towed it back, a technician and myself test drive and car acted badly. I left the car was told they couldn't find anything except some hose was loose. Suddenly the car quit shaking and groaning. Cars don't fix themselves and a loose connection doesn't make that kind of noise, so, they had to fix something and act like nothing. I said I was done with them and coming for the car. I spent well over $7000. The brake warning light is still on. I kept my cool the best I could but expressed my displeasure. They finally agreed to take off $400 for the unneeded brake sensors. Whoopi do. Good luck y'all.

They did an incredible job with my bmw for a very fair price. Got it back quicker than expected and beautifully cleaned. The receptionist was extremely pleasant and helpful. And they gave me a body shop referral for my girlfriend's car when I asked. I will definitely use them in the near future as the car needs some more things done. They really did treat me amazingly, I'm very grateful

European Auto Tech has worked on my very troubled BMW X3. I have been most impressed by how thorough this shop is. All their work is documented with pictures and videos if necessary. They are knowledgeable and honest. I highly recommend them.

We took my 2011 Mercedes GLK350 to be diagnosed for engine light being on. left the car for a week with them and the only diagnosis was camshaft position sensor on exhaust and intake on bank 1. I knew that before as i had it at auto zone and same diagnosis came up on their scanner. They said timing was normal on the marks. At this point the bill was already $650 and was at the top of the estimate to diagnose. They said it would be $500 more for further testing. I picked up the vehicle and paid the $650 basically for nothing. I told them what the codes read coming in! This was my first experience with them and my last one! Would not recommend them to any of my friends for sure.

Excellent service for European cars. Mostly BMW, but also Porsche, Mercedes, VW. Dana and Linda behind the desk know more about cars than most mechanics, so I feel comfortable asking questions and knowing I will get a straight answer. Quotes for service are accurate as well as time intervals. Ive been a customer since the late 90s and their "new" facility on 1st Ave illustrates their growth and competency. How can they get any better? Theyve added detailed photos to their online estimates for one. The 'official' rating wont go over five stars, so let me add one here: *

I highly recommend European Auto Tech to anyone looking for top-quality work, an honest team, and exceptional service. I brought my car to them for eight years, and even after moving away, I still reach out for advice when needed, and they’re always happy to assist. While everyone there has been consistently friendly, the front office team deserves special recognition for their outstanding service!

I've been hearing great reviews about this shop for years and have not stopped by until recently with my 2006 Mercedes E350 4matic. It had a dead battery, A/C wasn't working well, shifting issues, and oil level sensors on the dash. They handled it all. Gave me great advice and charged a very reasonable price for labor and parts. I was so impressed, I stop by every 5-6 months to keep this great car on the road for much much longer. Thank you!

The staff here is very professional, nice and cordial. I would definitely recommend European Auto Tech.

excited to take my BMW to European Auto Tech, due to their great reviews. My car was cranking but wouldn’t start, so I hoped they could solve the issue. Initially, the staff were very nice and helpful, which gave me confidence. However, after almost a week with no updates, I had to call to check on the status of the diagnosis . They eventually called me back to say the issue was with the fuel pump and filter, and the repair would cost more than $2,500. I wasn’t convinced this was the real problem, so I decided to take my car elsewhere for a second opinion. At the new shop, they checked my car the same day and confirmed it was NOT the fuel pump, since there was good fuel pressure. After just 3 hours, they had my car fixed and only charged me $600 total. My car is now running perfectly, with no need for a new fuel pump or filter. I’m grateful I got a second opinion—please be cautious and explore all your options before committing to expensive repairs.

Fantastic Service! I'm updating an earlier five star review. I cannot say enough about this place. I will not take my car anywhere else. From start to finish, everyone is polite, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. They will not take advantage or price gauge, nor will they push you to do something that isn't necessary. Honesty and integrity is what you'll get every time. If you have a European car, take it to them, you won't be sorry. Thank you European Auto Tech.

Great job going thru and finding the problems I can’t! Prompt service and communication on what is going on with my 650i. I appreciate your service! Thank you!

I brought my Porsche 944 Turbo ('86) here to get a whistling noise dealt with. The experience was fantastic. The tech took the time to diagnose that issue, as well as many others. Turns out Mark (my tech) use to work for Porsche and is very familiar with the 944 models. He was able to fix my issue (timing belt) and address a litany of other issues the car had been having. While the initial fix cost me more than I was anticipating, I'm really glad Mark and Dana took the time to effectively communicate with me about my options and set me up with a working vehicle. They helped me to preserve my classic even longer. Highly recommend bringing your legacy Porsche here if you have one!

Best customer service!!!! Dana and Robert were amazing. They worked with my complicated schedule, they had excellent communication, and they went above and beyond to ensure that I was able to safely get my car after hours. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND European Auto! I look forward to doing business with them again.

Feb 07, 2024

Get you in as soon as the schedule allows and do a great job troubleshooting before they give you a repair quote. Found a major issue on my car that other shops hadn't identified.

Honest reliable service. Best in Tucson.

I called to schedule a service appointment for my vehicle so i asked how much would it cost. The lady who answered my call took the information of the car and told me "sure i will give a call back in a bit." I never received a call back. Great Job!

I have owned a 2001 Jetta GLX since 2010 and have only ever used EAT for service and repair, with the exception of bodywork. While I am a certified commercial aircraft mechanic, due to injuries and an autoimmune disorder, I am increasingly being limited in how much of that type of work I can do as I slide into middle age. My VR6 threw the timing chain at 122k Mi. EAT was able to do a top overhaul and restore the engine. It took two replacement pistons and several new valves. It wasn't cheap at over $7k but considering the stealership told me it was scrap and I have since driven the car for a decade, I would say it was a wise investment. Plus, it is the most enjoyable car I have ever had the pleasure to use as a daily driver. Doesn't really matter if it is a VW, BMW, Merc or even a Fiat. If you have a European car and want to save a bit of money while getting the best experts in town to fix your car, European Auto Tech is the place to go. They have saved me money many times in the past by repairing electrical and electronic components that the stealership would insist on replacing. In fact, that's how I first found EAT, way back in 2010, when the relay module above the battery fried itself. They must have repaired it 3 or 4 times before it was too far gone and I had to buy a replacement. Sadly, they will no longer install customer sourced parts but it is with good reason. They offer an excellent (for the industry) warranty and as such, they want control over sourcing parts. Other than that, they have never disappointed. I will also be seeking their expertise whenever I get around to buying another daily driver (this Jetta is just too hard to replace), I will be turning the old girl into a weekend warrior and it is just the sort of job they look forward to. There is only so much I can do myself, lacking a hydraulic lift and having a bad back. It is also likely the Mk IV will be replaced by a newer Type R and guess where I will be taking it for at least some of the maintenance and repairs....

I took my BMW X5 here to get some major repairs done. Overall, I had a great experience with them. The repairs were done right and they communicate very well with what's going on. They were not pushy at all about repairing the minor things that needed to be done on my vehicle. Which was nice. Some shops will do that. I'll definitely be taking my vehicle here from now on to be serviced and for any other future repairs.

I’ve used European Auto for service on my older Mercedes ML for several years. I’ve always found them honest and very professional. Recently the car developed a weird sound that avoided detection on two or three visits to the shop. It kept coming and going, but gradually got louder and more frequent. European finally found it (a small bushing extremely hard to see). After all their time spent, they not only fixed it; they refused to charge me for the work because of the “hassle” of having to come in so many times before it was resolved. What businesses do you know that put their customers first like that? If you need service, go there with absolutely no hesitation or concern. You’ll be glad you did. And Linda is particularly pleasant.

John and the crew at European Autotech have been taking care of my vehicles since the late 90’s. First off, I have never seen a shop so consistency clean. It is great to know that the environment is clean and tidy. What sets them apart: honesty, reliability, friendliness and knowing the job will be done right. The prices are always lower than the Stealership, and done with more care. Dana and Linda at the front are always friendly and helpful. I have been in a few binds, and they were able to assist and get me on the schedule. Any service that needs to be performed will be shown to you, as well as explained in layman’s terms. The Cliff Notes Version- I won’t be taking my vehicles to anyone else.

Please choose another European mechanic! After spending $6000+ in repairs on my BMW, my car had to be towed in for yet another issue. I was quickly told my engine was done. No options, no discussions! So being a female that knows nothing about cars, I took their word for it and sold the car on Facebook Marketplace for $800 and was forced to go buy another car. The guy that bought the car, came driving up my driveway a week later to tell me it cost him $89 for a timing gear!!!! Really unfortunate set of circumstances for me. This situation cost me thousands of dollars for European Auto Tech negligence!! Go someplace else!!

Top notch place to take your vehicle 👍 They do everything right from communicating, attention to detail, and friendliness! Very pleased and am returning for some deferred maintenance on my 2015 BMW 328 diesel. I really was impressed and they come in as estimated in the beginning. No surprises or up selling.

Let me start by saying that I’m a rocket scientist/engineer who grew up poor doing most of the required work on his own vehicles. Also, I generally understand the work being proposed and being done. I went to European Auto Tech because this shop has been around awhile and appears as a sponsor on the local BMW Car Club of America’s website as a sponsor of that club. What follows is what I experienced at this shop when they recently did a repair. My goal for writing this review isn’t to damage someone’s reputation and business but to communicate what you too may experience and to help this shop be better. I brought my 04 BMW Wagon in for an alignment and to have tie rod ends and stabilizer bar links replaced. European inspected the vehicle and let me know that it needed additional bushings associated with the suspension. No mention of a worn steering rack was communicated at this time. I picked up my car a few days later and felt that the steering wheel was clocked slightly to the left when going down a straight road, also I noticed that about 30-40 miles had been put on the car. I brought it back to European and communicated this and they put another 30 miles or so on the car and said that they didn’t agree. The lady, Dana stated that because my steering rack was worn, this could be the cause. My car has a sport suspension and I noticed that the alignment sheet they provided had specs for a standard suspension. I brought it back for a 3rd time and this time to avoid what appeared to be someone running errands in my car, I took it to the shop that European sub-contracts with for alignments. The alignment shop corrected the alignment and gave the car back to me. No apologies were offered for me taking time off of work for a third time trying to get my alignment done correctly, by either European or the alignment shop. I continued to feel that the steering wheel was clocked slightly to the left and European said that this was most likely due to a worn steering rack. I pointed out that if the steering rack was worn they should have said that they couldn’t perform an alignment without that being replaced. Having lost confidence in European, I took my car to the BMW dealer and got an alignment. The front was within specification but the rear had to be adjusted. The BMW dealer said nothing about the steering rack being worn. I asked European for the money I paid them for an alignment back and after about 2 weeks and a few phone calls they refunded my money. No apology was offered. I believe this shop is attempting to do the right thing and are hard working people getting up every morning and going to work which is more than can be said for a lot of people. I didn’t appreciate the runaround though and won’t be back. I think the dealer is your best chance to get work done correctly but I’ve had them do poor work too. Yes. I’m a hard customer to please.

My Mercedes repair shop.

Feb 07, 2023

On June 7, 2022 I dropped off my 2008 VW Beetle with the hope they could determine what was wrong with the A/C (intermittently working) and the door lock mechanism. After conducting their initial investigation they gave me a quote of $1466 to replace the compressor, drier and expansion valve, which was too expensive given I was selling the car. I later repaired the A/C myself (after buying gauges/vacuum pump) by replacing the solenoid control valve ($70 part). I was disappointed they did not offer any alternatives other than replacing multiple expensive components. It is well known that intermittent operation of the AC can only be caused by a handful of issues. I understand businesses want satisfied customers so they want to do the repairs to the best of their abilities to ensure long-term success, but they should give the customer options as well. On the up side they did repair the door lock mechanism.

Rude!!! They were rude to us because we weren’t able to tow our car out of their shop fast enough for them!

The people here are awesome! Very helpful and knowledgeable. I can count on them! Thanks European Autotech!

This is a must-read for anyone using Mercedes Benz of Tucson for Service. I shudder at the fact they "serviced" it since 2009. I had the costly misconception they were the most qualified until several of their misdiagnoses practically deemed my car undrivable. A friend of mine raved about European Auto Repair, and out of desperation, I thankfully. brought my car to them,   Every one of their employees is not only exceptionally knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, but they are all consummate professionals. After several extensive corrections and repairs, the results exceeded my expectations. My car is as peppy and beautifully responsive as it did several years ago.  It is, once again, a pleasure to drive.  Thank you, European Auto Repair.  I am immensely grateful!

Very knowledgeable staff, both in the office and in the bays. Found and fixed multiple problems, accurately and efficiently. They accomplished what the local Mercedes dealership on one of their competitors could not do. Pricing was competitive and service was well above the competition. I will bring our Mercedes back for future maintenance.
