This guy never answers his phone and he always keeps his door locked when you can't go in and ask him about doing some business used him years ago and he did excellent work he just hard to get ahold of and get anything done when you really need it especially when you only have one vehicle

I took one of my vehicles (1996 Chevy Caprice) to Ron over 20+ years ago and have done business with him ever since really nice guy and definitely does great work also good prices I've recommend him everytime anyone mentions transmission work.

Unfortunately, my experience hasn't been great with Ron. He's a nice man, however I've had constant problems with my trucks transmission since having him rebuild it. My rebuild was over $2,000, which I was willing to spend since it had become sluggish with age, and had several issues with leaks. Since taking my truck in I've had to bring it back no less than 4 times for leaks re-appearing, and since the rebuild, my transmission has had problems not shifting on its own until it is 100% at operating temperature, and no colder. Sometimes not even that. Though when it does work as it should, it works well. Overall, the work was disappointing, unfortunately.

Ron did exactly what he said for my transmission on time. Was very easy to work with and explained everything he did. Also fixed a wiring problem he noticed that has been causing me problems for two years. Highly recommend.

I had a old jeep Cherokee and the transmission blew up . Took it to Ron and he rebuilt it and I’ve never had a problem since he also did my transfer case and it’s been fantastic. I highly recommend his work!

called the shop about 4 times in one day and they didn’t answer one time. if they have OPEN on there website they should be able to answer the phone at least 1x

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. VERY competent shop, makes sure the car is running great before handing it over. My van had a complete transmission rebuild, which was a big, scary deal. Ron was courteous, kind, thoroughly a professional, detail-oriented down to making all the old bits and pieces look as shiny new as the fresh parts. This was not a rush job - transmission repairs take time. You will not get ripped off. I would ABSOLUTELY go by and see Ron for his honest opinion about your car transmission issues. The shop prices are very FAIR and oh my gosh, LOWER than those other places. P.S. Woods Oil Change, longtime locally-owned business, led me to Ron. 👍🏻

DO NOT COME TO THIS GUY. Took him a month the get it done and lasted 30 miles before it went out again. He never offered to pay the tow bill or any conversation plus took him another month to do the warranty work. He DOES NOT answer the phone and just a bad mechanic beware before you consider this guy.

The owner is a really good guy. I had just finished a 2.5 year restoration on my 1960's muscle car, and the automatic transmission would not shift. After an acquaintance suggested Edmond Discount Transmission, I trailered the car there... The owner was super friendly, and helped me unload the car from the trailer -- he even put away all the straps and chains while I drove the car off the trailer! I didn't ask him to do that! What a super cool dude! Within 24 hours, he had diagnosed the problem, fixed it, test drove the car, and returned it to me -- AT NO CHARGE!!! I was flabbergasted! No charge?! From a transmission repair shop?! Are you kidding me?! I insisted on paying him a little something for his time and expertise. I drove the car home that day -- in rush hour traffic and it worked great! What a deal! I highly recommend this shop!

I would never recommend this place to anyone! I had a transmission rebuild done by him and then a year and 2 months later, I was back in again with the same problem! I was given a 12 month warranty with my first transmission rebuild, but since my transmission went out a year and 2 months later, he did not honor it. He charged me over half the price of what I paid a year ago for him to do the same work. I do not trust his work at all since transmissions should last longer than 1 year! He had my car for close to 2 weeks and would not answer the phone when I called him. He did not have a voicemail setup, so I had to resort to going to his shop to get an update on my car. He told me on a Friday that he would take my car for a drive on Monday to test it out and I should have it back from Monday evening or Tuesday morning. I went to his shop Tuesday to get my car, assuming it would be done, and he told me that he hadn’t looked at it since Friday!! I am disgusted with him and I do not trust his work. If you want your car done right the first time, take it somewhere other than here!

I've had transmissions rebuilt in two pickups here and they are still going strong. The energizer bunny has nothing on this shop. I have also referred others here and will continue to do so. The price is good and the work is better..You will be dealing with an honest man and very good mechanic. John Alexander

Believe he is very honest. Had an issue I created myself with my vehicle. He stopped what he was doing to help me out for about half an hour. Refilled my fluids and drained an overfill. Expecting to pay between $50-$75 he charged me $35.

Exceptional service from a very honest mechanic. He took the time to listen to me and then explain the work he would do. Chevy quoted me $3400 for a new tranny and Ron's price was only $1400 to rebuild with a warranty. Best part was when he called and said it was the TCM which was only half his estimate. He could have easily charged me for the tranny, but did the right thing and I now highly recommend his services!
