This was my 2nd visit here, Ed and James offered good service both over the phone and in the store. Dyke Tire Discounters offered a good deal on tire installation including alignment & oil change. I just went yesterday but early returns in the heavy rain last night were positive for the new tires (Michelin PS4AS) and the alignment. They offer additional services beyond just tire service which I didn't need at the time. I look forward to coming back. My previous visit was for wheel balance and my issue was resolved.

If you value your car and your safety, stay far away from this place. While the customer service was polite, the actual work was beyond poor—it was downright negligent. My wife had been a loyal customer here for 15 years, and it used to be great. However, ever since the new ownership took over, it’s been a complete nightmare. Recently, she went in because her tire sensor was indicating low air and possibly a bad sensor. She explained the issue clearly. They claimed there was nothing wrong and said the tire just needed air. She picked up her car and, 20 minutes later, the sensor came back on. She called them, and they told her to bring it back on Tuesday at 2 PM. When she arrived, they casually mentioned that they couldn’t look at it because the mechanic had called out. No one bothered to inform her ahead of time, wasting her time. She returned on another day, and once again, they dismissed the issue, saying it was just "the weather" and she needed more air in the tire. This didn’t sit right with her, so she took the car to another mechanic. Within five minutes, the new mechanic found the sensor hanging, damaged, and clearly neglected. They even questioned whether anyone at the previous shop had actually looked at the car. My wife showed them the receipt, but it was obvious that the work wasn’t done. This shop is dangerous. If they can’t even catch something as simple as a damaged tire sensor, imagine the risks with more serious problems. After 15 years of trusting this place, my wife will never return, and I’m sure many other long-term customers are leaving as well. This is not the great shop it used to be, and unless drastic improvements are made, they’ll lose whatever loyal customers they have left. Avoid this place at all costs.

James at the front office is ABSOLUTELY professional and super nice ! Very helpful and got my wife’s car taken care of …. My wife said the service there is FANTASTIC !!!!!

The team At Dyke Tire Discounters did a remarkable job taking care of my Vehicle. James kept the lines of communication open when it came to the service of my vehicle and where it was in the process of the service. I would surely recommend this establishment to friends and family. I'd give them 10 stars if there were 10 available!

James the the store manager gave me the most excellent service, he introduced me to the 90 days same as cash program. and the service was beyond my expectation. Best around!

James was courteous, professional and he answered all my questions. I went for a state inspection and it was done very quickly. As I expected, I needed brakes; and they did that repair as well and I was done in a little over an hour. They were quite efficient.

This was my first time using Tire Discounters. The staff at this location are professional, courteous and dedicated to providing customers with a fast, reliable, and trustworthy experience. The prices were considerably cheaper, and service much better, than having my car serviced at Mercedes across the street! James at the front counter was polite and efficient at walking me through my work order and transaction. The manager, James McGowens, provided prompt, friendly, personalized service and support that went above and beyond my expectations. There was an issue with my car and Mr. McGowans quickly addressed the problem and offered a prompt resolution. Sadly, I never visited this shop when it was Dyke Tire so I can’t compare services since new ownership. What I can say is I will be back and I’m comfortable in referring clients, friends and family to this location. Thank you James & James!

I wish I had read the recent reviews before bringing my car in. This place is no longer what it used to be. I'm beyond disappointed by the way my vehicle repairs have been handled. It takes 20 years to build a reputation and one day to ruin it.

Thurday 4pm 8/15/24 on way to Myrtle Beach on I95 we had blowout on travel trailer. While changing tire wife calls dyck. Confirmed tire in stock. We get to dyck 510p. I state to rep wife called need tire replaced. Rep d*ck states "I have to ask permission, your wife said you were on way." 🤔 "We close at 530p" Waited approx 1 minute. Rep comes back and says "they said not today but 1st thing in the morning" 🤬😡 Really? Went to NTB and serviced within minutes and back on road with good spare. You'll def get a richard at dyck. We experienced awful customer relations that day. Wouldn't visit if only tire repair within 50 miles. Update 9/5/24 Owner replied to review to request contact info for investigation 🔎 will update with results.

Went in on a Friday morning to get the works, brakes, rotors, oil change, and inspection. Mr. James at the front was extra helpful at making it a smooth process. Before I knew it I was out the door and on my way. Happy customer.

I came to get my coolant leak diagnosed and a week later my radiator exploded. On the side of 64 W, waiting for a tow truck at midnight, I took a look and there was a pair of Vice Grips on my radiator hose. I towed it and showed up promptly at opening. The manager, Eric, came over and said, "We're going to take care of this what do you need?". I said, "A new engine and a rental to get to work". Eric said, "We will get this fixed. Let me talk to the higher ups." He came back and tried to talk his way out of fixing my truck. I explained, "So you're telling me, my radiator exploded and it's not due to the pair of vice grips on my coolant line?". Eric said, "I'm not saying that, but the radiator being cracked could have cause this" and then proceeded to give me the run around. Don't trust this company with your car. I just got promoted for work and signed a lease and they are trying to weasel their way our of this screw up. Update: After missing a day of work and multiple trips up to the shop. Eric said it was my fault for driving the truck. No refund, no rental car, no apology. I had to rent a car to be able to still work. Will be reaching out to an attorney . Response to the owner's response: If the cracked radiator caused the engine to run hot, then it would've actually opened the overflow earlier. Meaning the vice grips would have caused an issue for me sooner than it should have.

I was in Richmond on business when I had a leak in a run flat tire. Dyke Tire was recommended. Called them & was told to bring the car right then. When I arrived they took the car in, found a nail & quickly repaired the tire. They could not have been any nicer - restored my faith that there are still good people in this world. A big thank you to Eric, Tim & James!

After Tire Discounters took over, this place has unfortunately gone down hill. They lost customer records, and now suddenly do not honor warranties associated with the lost information. I bought 4 Michelin tires here, and now I’m being told they don’t have a record of the transaction.

This place has changed for the worse since Tire Discounters brought out Dyke Tire. I understand why Scott left. Not the same local business any more. On top of the corporate feel the customer service representative complains about the place himself. LOL I won’t be coming back!

went by there to get some tires for my truck and come to find out all new people and the place does not have the same I want to help attude they quote you a price and when question about why the tires went up over 300 dollars in 2 months all they could say is that is the price looks to me like the old dyke tire where they work with you is gone with the old management after 20 years it is good bye

I have been dealing with Gary at dyke tire discounters for over a year. I have taken several of my cars to his shop and ive been so happy that i have taken both of my daughtrrs cars to gary and his team. I am very happy with his prices,quality of work and most all they do what they theyare going to do and they get the repairs done on time which is important to me. Myy first repair that i had them do was fix the brakes on my dakota truck where another shop messed it up really bad that i could barely drive it. They discovered what the other shop did wrong and fixed it 100%. the truck brakes smooth now just like it did when it was brand new. Im so happy that i had them do the brakes on my wifes taurus. I have bought 2 sets of tires from them with free alignment at very good prices and im getting ready to buy a third set and do suspension work on my daughters van. Im a car guy and i know cars and i will not take any of my cars to another shop. I recently dealt with sidney and hes such a delight to deal with.all of the guys at the front dedk are verry nice,freindlly, and they are honest and know what they are taking about. This is the shop where i will do my repair and maintenance work and of course buy my tires their too. Im most happy to give this shop a 5 star rating. Jimmy .

Gary was exceptional, helpful about getting me back on the road after I had a nail in my tire. He recommended a set of 4 Michelin tires since I had the old ones for 6 years. My car rides much smoother now than before. Thanks, Gary, for the exceptional service again.

I bought 4 Michelin tires from Dyke a couple of years ago and have been very pleased. Lately, my SUV was due for a few general maintenance items. Sid set up my appointment and answered my service questions. He was friendly and informative. I asked about pricing to compare to the dealer prices I was quoted. Not only were the savings real, the service was exceptional. They took care of what I scheduled and noted that new front brake pads and rotors were needed (when rotating and balancing tires free due to my purchasing tires there). Sid explained the condition of the items and the function to me patiently. The need for the replacement aligned with my miles on the brakes, so it was an easy yes. James was at the desk during my service and was also very helpful and kind. Additionally, their detailed invoice for the work spoke trust and integrity! Thank you, Dyke Tires team! I highly recommend Dyke for service and tire needs!
