I got a tire repair done here today. The service is excellent and reasonably priced. The mechanic was very friendly, he pumped up all 4 tires afterwards and gave me an extra cap without charge. Highly recommended.

I have been looking for a good, trustworthy mechanic in the Houston area for a few years. A couple months ago, my catalytic converter was hacked out from under my car and I needed somewhere super close to drive my car for inspection and repair, and I ended up driving my car a few blocks to this shop. The owner, Abdel, was very kind but matter-of-a-fact when explaining what had happened to my car, and extremely precise when laying out all my options. There were certain unknown factors, and he was thorough preparing me for the different possible scenarios. We ended up ordering after-market parts, and his initial estimates regarding time and cost were spot-on. I've been taking my car here ever since and have felt every time that I've received trustworthy, reliable, and fairly priced service. It's worth mentioning, too, that as a woman with admittedly little knowledge of cars, in the past I've sometimes felt taken advantage of or condescended to by car mechanics, but I have never, ever felt that way here. Abdel and his shop have taken good care of me, and I deeply appreciate and highly recommend them.

A Houston towing company damaged my car the other night and bent my brake dust shield on one of my wheels. The bent piece of metal caused grinding when turning my car and being from out of town I brought my car here to get the issue resolved. The technician Abd looked at my car right away and took care of the issue while also pointing out further damage the towing company had caused to my rim, lower control arm, and brake rotor. He got me back on the road quickly while also topping off fluids and ensuring my car was ready for my road trip back to Oklahoma City. Highly recommend these guys for their professional service.

Called the day before with questions and told them I would come in the next day. He remembered and took care of everything. Usually I have to tell techs to reset my oil change light but nope not here. He was extremely thorough. Quick and easy! They take care of you here! I definitely will be driving in from Montgomery to come here instead of the chain places I’ve been going.

Dropped in for vehicle registration inspection around 3pm on a Monday and got it done in less than 15 minutes. Had a good conversation with the technician. Waiting room could use some cleaning and upkeep.

My kids and I have trusted Abdel (the owner of Downtown Texaco Car Care Clinic) with all our car repairs for over 20 years now! It is VERY HARD to find an honest mechanic - Abdel is 100% honest. Also this location is very convenient to me since I work downtown, but I would drive many miles to find an honest mechanic that i trust!

Getting car repairs always seems like a rip off, but it's necessary maintainence. This is my second time at this establishment. The first time I came I had to get a light light bulb replaced. I thought the labor cost were a bit high, but the convenience factor counter balanced that concern. Today, I had to get my window switch handle replaced and the labor price was more reasonable given the price of the product. So, in the end I guess it all balances out. I would definitely go back. The employees are very polite and courteous and the service is of great quality. Things to know: 1. They are really good at giving quotes before they start work so just ask and the will oblige. 2. The best feature is that if you live or work in the downtown area they will give you a ride to and from work/home while your car is being worked on. This benefit was especially helpful seeing that it is the middle of winter and I have no intentions of walking anywhere!

I own two high end cars: a Lexus LS460/ Infiniti QX56: After they came out of the Free Service at Lexus and Infiniti, Downtown Car Care service both. I have had both maintenance and repairs done, ranging from the 30,000 mile routine servicing to replacing the Shocks, Brake System and other major repairs. I have always found Abdel to be friendly, willing to explain the details of the repair and efficient. To be more precise, my bill was 1/2 to 1/3 of what I would be charged by Lexus/Infiniti. I can report that on two occasions, I had him redo work and he did so without complaint or further charges. I have been taking my vehicles to Downtown Car Care for over 6 years and have no reason to change service provider.
