I really miss Doug’s Bugs! Does any one know where he is or how he is doing?

A friend recommended Doug’s Bugs and I’m so happy she did! The dealership quoted me well over $1000 for my 60,000 mile service but Doug did a full inspection and fixed only the things that needed to be done for less than half the price and much quicker. A few months later I went to Doug to replace my front brakes and again he got the job done (and done well) for a fraction of the price of the dealership. Not only is he a great mechanic, he’s a genuinely nice guy! No charging for unnecessary work, no mansplaining. Doug has official replaced my “car guy” dad as my go to for anything and everything my car may need.

Doug is the only place to take your VW. His prices are more than fair and he knows VWs as well as anyone. Got my CV boots replaced within a couple hours of dropping off the bug and didn't charge me to adjust the carburetor and timing.

Im a full time student at BSU and i was having issues with my car that none of the last 3 shops I brought it to were able to diagnose or fix. I brought it to Doug at 9am on a Tuesday and literally 4 hours later I get a call saying it is completely fixed. The price was more than reasonable it was a steal and the service and turn around time was unheard of. I will never bring my vehicles to any other shop.

I have a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta, and a check engine light and EPC light come on. I went to the VW dealership where they had a week wait (no one was even being serviced when I was in there) and charge $75 just to do the scan. I called Doug and he was so kind and thorough. Did the scan for free and a super fair price.

My car broke down on the free way so I had it towed to Miracle Tire on Broadway they had told me I needed a new engine... they quoted me $4800! I was referred to Doug's Bugs from a co-worker I ended up towing my car to Doug he took only a few hours to check my car and found that I did not need a new engine but only a pieced that had broken off!! Long story short Doug saved me thousands of dollars, I walked away with paying only $400! I would definitely recommend Doug's Bugs, very honest and nice man!!!!

I recently took my bug to Doug’s Bugs and was so impressed with his schedule to get my bug into the shop, the quick turn time to resolve the problem, and the price was outstanding. Doug also took the time to explain to me what he did to resolve the problem and he found another issue and fixed it too. I would highly recommend Doug’s bugs for anyone needing work done on their Bug. Thanks Doug!

Doug is awesome. My whole family utilizes his services as he never does something that is not necessary just to up the bill. We can always trust his recommendations and never have to second guess the cost of repairs. He knows what he is doing.
