Was not told I would need to leave car all day when making appointment. Tires rotated and balanced when I only asked for balancing. Plus had no report to show me how much the tires were out. Also no idea where the car was … said it was either in front or at Walgreens. Very didsapppinted because A-1 Custom Care Care in Springfield recommended you. Probably not be back.

Been using Dobbs for over 30 years. I wouldn't let anyone else touch my or my wife's vehicles. Jerome and his team are the best! Several years ago, I was in the lobby when a tv crew came in. They had one of their female employees , bring their vehicle into the shop with a specific, pre-rigged problem. They were looking to see if their mechanics identified and corrected the problem. They came in to tell them that of all the shops they had visited, Dobbs was the only one that fixed the problem without inflating the bill with unneeded extras. Made me feel great about doing business with them. I recommend them to everyone.

Had my car dropped off after they were closed because of a flat tire. It is not easy to have blind trust with a mechanic, but Dobbs was amazing in communicating the next morning. And my car was ready on time .

Just needed a quick safety check so I could get our new (used) car licensed. Of course it was a busy week before the Thanksgiving holiday but they had to keep the car all day & then didn’t even call the number we gave them when it was ready. Also they decided new wiper blades were needed in order to pass inspection, so the bill was quite a bit higher. Hadn’t noticed any problem with the old wipers. I usually like Dobbs but wasn’t too pleased this time.

So pleased. I bought 4 new tires 2 years ago. When I came in for a couple leaks, it was repaired, completely at no charge. That is how to win customers. Thanks Dobbs!

The manager at the Chippewa location, Mike, is an absolute disaster. I scheduled an appointment over a week in advance to get a safety/emissions check. Despite the appointment, it took well over an hour, and it failed due to a cracked windshield. Fine. I made another appointment and arranged to drop the car off for the day to get a new windshield and redo the safety test. In the afternoon, Mike called to inform me that the glass repair guy just noticed it has a heads-up display—something that should have been obvious from the first visit. The cost would be significantly higher unless we opted for regular glass. We never use the heads-up display, so we told him to go ahead with regular glass. However, the glass repair guy had already left the shop because Mike couldn't be bothered to make a 30-second phone call to confirm our preference. Now, we have to make yet another appointment and drop the car off again on Friday. When I confronted Mike about his false assumption that led to a wasted day and the need for another appointment, he simply said we have a "difference of opinion." This is sheer incompetence, Mike! Get it together. For those that would prefer to avoid working with the Mikes of the world, I would suggest going to Manchester Auto Center for your car care needs.

I made an appointment several days before for the ID/OD and emissions. I arrived at my appointment time (11am) and nothing happened by 11:50. I asked to talk to the manager and he said my truck was next. It was finally taken in at 11:55. I’m not sure why I make an appointment if it just sits for almost an hour? Also, this is what I was told on how long it would take: 1. When I made my appointment I was told it would take an hour 2. When I showed up I was told it would take between 1 hour and 1 hour 15 minutes 3. When I talk to the manager I was told it takes between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes Which one is it?
