This place is a gem if you enjoy working on cars but don't have the space. Great help, great staff, great tools, great place. I've replaced tie rods, lower control arms, oil changes, differential fluids, and now a starter here. I've shown up when full blown engine block changes were happening. I hope it stays in business until I'm 90.

I normally do not give 5 stars because no place is perfect. But this place really tries to help you out when needed and makes doing certain jobs much easier than trying to do at home.

This place and Chris are amazing! We spent several days here and many many hours with Chris. He worked tirelessly to help us get our tow kit installed and somehow figured out the most complicated instructions flawlessly. We bit off more than we could chew and were far from home and he saved the day. We were blown away by his kindness and expertise. Highly recommended this place!

I can't say enough great stuff about the folks at DIY Auto. They are super helpful and have everything you'll need to get almost any job done. I think the pricing is super fair for the space and tools you get to use. I live in an apartment with no garage or space for tools, and I have probably been almost a dozen times now and I've saved tons of money by getting all the work done myself out there. Watch that youtube video and book a time, you can do it!!!

This is a great place to work on your vehicle. When I got stuck in something Chris helped me every time. Regan was a great help also. Plus the 80's rock playing in the background was the icing on the cake. I will definitely be using this facility in the future!

This place is amazing! I was stressing after being over-quoted for unnecessary repairs at a different establishment. Chris was a lifesaver with his quick communication and expertise. He fit me in for repairs on short notice, and he patiently showed me how to replace the parts myself for future reference. He is a top-notch professional! I'm so relieved to have found a mechanic in town who is courteous and capable of providing such outstanding service and opportunity to learn. mechanics are expensive and doing it yourself is a lot of fun!!! Chris and Regan helped us out so much when we got stuck. Without them we couldn't have completed our job. They know how to do everything and where all the parts you need are. The price was unbeatable and I have zero complaints. If you like working on your own vehicle but don't have the tools, space or even need a little knowledge/help then this is the place to work on your vehicle. They have every tool you could ever need and you can rent a lift, which makes things so much easier. The owner Chris is a great guy, very knowledgeable and willing to help when needed. I can highly recommend this place and will definitely use them again.

So, today, I wound up renting a lift from these guys to repair a problem with my clutch that a previous shop ignored. I had to do a complete removal of my transmission to do so, and these guys were absolutely fantastic. There are safety issues to consider in a job like this, it's a 200lb transmission, but these guys make sure and help as best they can to make sure that everything goes along safely and according to plan. I needed a part while I was there, and these guys reached out to the local parts store and had it ran to us in short order. I had the whole transmission out, repaired and back in.....in about 5 hours. I'm very happy with the results and will very likely use these guys again in the future. It's really nice that they are standing by to assist if necessary for help with safety, equipment, and just in case I needed a hand. I appreciate these guys SO MUCH!

I’m so very thankful for this family owned business & I highly recommend utilizing their shop for most of your automotive maintenance needs. Their dedication & attentiveness to their customers goes beyond measure. I will be using this garage again, without hesitation. We stopped in after making an appointment to do some brake work on my Infiniti SUV. We were in & out in virtually no time at all & learned so much as we worked together. I can’t thank them enough.

Chris helped me attempt to put in the voltage regulator I bought, only to find out it wasn’t the right regulator. He quickly problem solved and sourced me a new alternator locally and we got it installed. I could have never done it without him. I will recommend anyone I know to go to DIY for their auto repairs and vehicle lift needs. Thanks Chris !!

Such a great business idea. I was able to do a fuel pump replacement. Ran into complications and Chris allowed us to keep the truck parked over night until we were able to finish the job. All said and done we saved over $500 doing it ourselves instead of going through a mechanic.

Supper nice people, this shop provides the opportunity to work on your own vehicles. They have plenty of tools and knowledge if you need help. This shop has been a dream of mine for years. I'm glad they took the step and made this happen. Shop rates are reasonable.

This place is great! It's like having a best friend with a shop and tools. I was able to repair my own vehicle. Something a dealership couldn't even diagnose. Chris was fantastic! I will definitely be back and telling others about my experience here.

Before this place opened, I was goofing around at harbor freight with a buddy and we saw the sign when we were getting ready to leave. I walked over and I met the owners and they just seemed like a rad group of people and I knew I’d end up using this place one day. Fast forward to yesterday (7/13), I went in to do a tire rotation cuz I was lazy and didn’t want to do it in my driveway. To keep a long story semi short, they were just as rad as they were the first day I met them. We lifted the car all the way up and he gave me some advice on how to take care of my car with a lift on it, and even let me use a tire patch kit after I found a couple nails in my tire. This place is sweet and for someone who doesn’t want to pay the shop prices to get work done, I’ll definitely be back to do more maintenance on my vehicles

Dude Chris is the man! This is the place to come work on your own vehicle. Understand how the prices work, if Chris assists you, it’s a different rate than if he doesn’t help you. Either way, you can still be sociable! They’ve got a great setup!

Fantastic shop with every tool available. Parts delivery from the nearest auto shop is quick and painless. Rates are very reasonable given the number of tools and space available. Chris is insanely helpful and an all around good dude.

Enough about them. Seniors should consider this well equipped shop, as a place that can assist or complete repairs. I've wrenched most my life, now I need a little more torque. Helped my little sister at DIY replace some parts worn out parts on her car. I was quite surprised how polite and curious the staff is, true professionalism. Having the car lift helped cut down on the time needed to make repairs. DIY included the tools needed for the repair with the Bay being used. I was quite surprised to see a plasma cutter and tig machines available for use if needed. DIY had resources and references needed for the type of vehicle you're working on. This was a wonderful opportunity to teach my sister about maintaining her vehicle. I would recommend it to any parent that wants to teach their children or if somebody wants to mentor someone in helping maintain their vehicle. This brought back happy memories for my little sister when our dad and I would work on vehicles before he passed away at a young age. Thank you again for this opportunity!

This is a great DIY shop. Chris had everything ready for my little job of removing a stripped disc brake caliper bolt from my Acura RDX. They have all the tools available for whatever you need done (and Chris even showed me a few tricks to make my job easier). In one hour I got to also change my brake pads, rotate my tires, order a part, remove the rotor's screws and all in an AC garage. I can't wait to get my truck in there. Highly recommended.

If we could give 10 stars, we would. We had the absolute best experience. The garage was friendly, clean and so helpful. They had everything we needed for a VW transmission fluid change and a Mercedes transmission sensor replacement. The owner was there while we were working and could not have been more accommodating. We had to extend our time by and hour, it was not a problem at all. Then when we were done they cleaned up after us! This is exactly what Idaho is about. They are all wonderful! I ended up going over on my time and having to return the next day but they were so nice and understanding about it and didn't charge to keep it there. Definitely will be going back if I need to!

WOW. My expectations were blown clear out of the water. I rented a lift for an hour to get under my vehicle. Once I did, I noticed a bracket holding a part had snapped leaving the part dangling. I was so surprised that they had someone, Victor, who was able to make the bracket for me. WOW. & the price to add that was far less than if I was hunting down that part. Incredible service, amazing people who love what they do & a terrific safe environment. I will be a regular indefinitely.
