I quit going to the other discount tire location just south of here 2 years ago because they were having a lot of issues. This location was better but as of late, they have declined also. I had an appointment to have 1 new tire mounted and balanced to a new rim. I brought in my old wheel because they had to transfer the tire pressure sensor over to the new wheel. It took an hour and a half for them to accomplish this. I was told it should take 15 mins at the beginning of my appointment. I asked the manager for an update multiple times, I was told "sorry we got busy all of a sudden" which shouldn't matter because I had an appointment. The manager said they were getting to it, although I could clearly see my old wheel sitting in the corner. 1.5hrs later I got my wheel only to find it had a gash in the paint and scratches. I didn't buy a brand new rim only to have it look worse than the damaged rim it was replacing. They said they will order another new rim, it's been a day and I haven't heard anything yet. I'll follow up with them Monday. Either way, I'm still disappointed. I've been a discount tire customer for 12 years now. They have been declining the past 5 years or so, but you get what you pay for. My recent set of tires (bought 2 months ago) as well as this wheel will be my last discount tire purchase. I'm just finding it's a PITA dealing with them. I try to make it as easy as possible for them. I don't let people touch my car anymore (too many incidents) so I bring them the wheels, I make sure they are clean, tire weights removed and the adhesive cleaned off, ready to be worked on. It always takes forever. Strangely, it was faster to get 4 tires replaced when I brought the vehicle in. For some reason, when I bring just the wheels themselves they seem to get put in the corner and forgotten about until I go ask them about it multiple times. This has happened pretty consistently over the past few years. I'm just done with discount at this point, unless it's to get free stuff done.

After 30 years of buying here for my 3 cars, I sadly will not be back. Two bad services in a row from the (newish) store manager and his crew. The crew were rotating the tires BACK TO THE CORNERS THEY CAME OFF OF. Good thing I was watching them! 2nd time, no spin balancing and got suckered into buying $75 worth of lug nuts. I clearly didn't have my coffee that morning. I later inspected the old ones, and they were fine. I'm an old school car guy, very embarrassed I got taken for a ride. To nameless "(Owner)" re: your response to my review. What more is there to understand? The review has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Clear and to the point. The only thing I can add is that I should have seen a $75 refund and that I am biased when it comes to customer service. I demand honesty and integrity. Traits I have lived by in my retail customer service trainer roll for the last 35 years. I recognize the sales tactic the manager used. I have fired a dozen employees for repeating this money take cloaked as customer service. Now that I've retired, I have more time to reflect on the poor state of service many companies struggle with, my former employer included. I wish you the best of luck, but fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. "In retail, you only get one chance to make a good impression."

Called and ask them if they were busy and they said no. i told them that my tire light had come on and wanted them to check if it had nails they said bring it to them. I drove to their place and I told a long hair guy about the light he said it came on because of the weather that instead of waiting an hour just to have my tire checked to take it to the air pressure check on the side of the building.

After an accident I needed a new tire immediately. I had called around to several places of business and no one had the size of tire I needed in stock. Discount Tire was the only location that had it available. They advised that they could get me in immediately. I was able to go in, pay for my requested services and was given an ETA for my wait time. Wait time was approximately 45 minutes, so it took a little while longer than it would have a local mom and pop shop, but they finished down to the minute of the estimated ETA. The price was a little higher than I would’ve preferred, but for short notice and immediate availability it was overall worth it. The lobby was clean, quiet, and peaceful. Great customer service and accurate ETA.

I bought tires and rims this was the worst mistake ever. They gave me the wrong offset so my tires were rubbing. I called them and I was told don’t make a hard right or left really… I went back they said I had to settle with smaller tires which I didn’t not like but I said I would try. Will they looked horrible and still rubbed as I’m driving my truck with a 3 1/2 in lift and baby tires. They changed the rims with a different offset and we started all over again. I went back again same issue rubbing on the frame now I was told I have to cut on the frame of the truck. I was about to ask for a refund but called corporate and they replaced everything. I just took my truck to a great shop in Austin and they fixed my truck up. Forgot to mention since I was not able to make a sharp turn I side swiped a SUV that I paid for so not to make an insurance claim .. never again NEVER DO NOT GO HERE DONT DO IT

Came to get my air checked because light indicated low, Chris checked it and gave me a heads up on Windshield Wiper sale. GOOD GRIEF How did he know perfect timing -sale and I didn't have to get down or fuss with and He even was a Dear and gave my window a going over where I can see Better. Thank You . This was cool this isn't even my Neighborhood Discount Tire but I can see they Do Practice Good Customer Service as well. Thanks Chris

I visited this location so they could install a tire we purchased online. As the young man inspected my tires, he expressed concern for a second tire, saying the tread was reading at a 3. He was extremely persistent even after I repeatedly told him I was only there for the one I purchased. Fast forward a few months to today, my boyfriend took my car to the bandera location and, low and behold, that same tire is at a 5. Gotta say, I didn't expect Discount Tire to engage in these chauvinistic practices.

They are always trying to sale you new tires. They can never just fix a simple flat. They do not honor the certificates they sale. I have spent thousands of dollars over the years at this location. Will never go back. Beware of their scams. They said my rim was messed up that's why my tire was leaking. Took to a Marbach tire shop, they fixed no problem. I will be getting all of my rims and tires from Sam's or Costco from now on.

Had an issue with a tire so, headed over. Spoke with an advisor that said he could take of the tire and a rotation at no charge and would take over an hour. I told him that would be fine and we arrived at 11:30. So, at 1:20 my vehicle still had not been taken care of and when asking the advisor how much longer stated another 30 minutes to an hour. There were other people that came in after us being seen and leaving. I've always had an issue with my Discount Tire over years and thought to give them another try but this affirms it, I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!! It's ridiculous how they treat customers with no updates and stand around talking to one another. I do realize it was going to be a free repair but the amount of time waiting was ridiculous. Update: Received an email from customer relations, I will also ask that they follow up with you, so please expect to be contacted by one of them within 2 business days to discuss this further with you so that we can determine the steps we can take to deliver a better experience for you. I appreciate you giving us the opportunity to resolve this to your satisfaction. Well guess what, that never happened. I WILL NEVER USE THEM!!!!

We have always had excellent service with this Discount Tire shop. When we received the paper bill with a credit only, which was the warranty refund that we did not want. We have a Discount Tire credit card with Synchrony Bank. We have not received the billing for the tires that we bought. AFFIRM has been trying to collect for the tires, but we did not go thru AFFIRM. Every month I have called Synchrony Bank and asked about this other company. The phone rep had not heard of this company either. Emails only have been sent to us. No acct nbrs, no phone nbrs, just the total bill. If you need more info, you can contact me or leave message from this report. Thank you. Susan

They were quick, in helping repair a hole in a tire, and did honor my warranty when I had a blow out, but I ordered a new rim, for my car over a year ago. Still waiting on it to come in.
