They have no respect for customer's time. They'll make you wait for over 15 mins to do a tire pressure check - because it's a free service & they don't make money!

Went here for a flat tire, the guy outside says they can patch it up just park the car and wait inside. I go inside and the woman at the desk asks for my keys to go inspect it (mind you he JUST completed an inspection) she comes back in talking about I need 2 new back tires as if I didn’t already explain what I’m there for so I don’t understand why you’re even looking at the other tires! I decline purchasing new tires from them then she proceeds to say “well we can patch it up for you but we’re not allowed to place the same tire back on the vehicle for you” like what was the purpose of even having me go inside. People have busy lives and jobs just like them I shouldn’t have to go through so much to get one simple task done.

I want to say thank you for the staff in this store. I drove to IKEA for shopping Freon chapel hill and got a nail into my tire. I drove to Mavis tire first; they quoted me 180$ for replacement. So I went to Discount for a better chance because I don’t think the tire needs to be replaced. The Discount said they will first try to repair it; if it didn’t work, they will replace it. I think it makes really good sense. They said it will probably take 1 hour. So I waited there, and 30 mins later, it was done. No tire replacement! And free of charge!!! I was surprised and can’t image this happened. Really good and honest staff. I am very appreciated for their help.

Waited 15 mins at the tire pressure service area — no service. Usually a solid store and I've gotten tires and great service from them in the past, but two guys walked past me from the Taco Bell. This is the one company I make an effort to recommend because of quality of service.

I love Discount Tire. I have purchased many tires from them in the RDU area. So when I moved to Charlotte this is the first and only place I went. Excellent service by the whole team. Highly recommend this location.

Recently stopped in for tire pressure check. Crew in bay see me (as they looked on my direction when I pulled up). Waited a few minutes for service or even a we will be with you shortly or some sort of formal, professional, business acknowledgement. None of which happened. Lots of horseplay going on in bay. One worker even told someone to “get away from me” followed by laughter. Finally left.

This morning I left the gym to find that my tire was flat and tried to make it to Firestone where they told me it was a 2 hour wait. I made it across the street to discount tire where I was greeted by Mr. Ramon, at this time I was a little frustrated and really did not want to deal with corporate America as I had a local underdog place that always does me right. Mr. Ramon escorted me to my car and back to deliver me a price that I knew I would not care for. I told Mr. Ramon that I had just gotten laid off on Monday, earlier in our conversation, so he proceeded to look in the back for a used tire which they did not have. I asked him if anyone would be willing to help me change my spare as I was not strong enough to get the bolt off (and I just left the gym 🙄). Mr. Ramon stopped what he was doing to assist me with my problem. I really was not expecting this behavior as most employees amongst us are usually lazy, rude and borderline incompetent. Mr. Ramon displayed none of these qualities and it really made my day. Humanity is not all lost and there are still good ppl amongst us. Mr. Ramon on the behalf of discouraged customers & myself WE salute YOU. Keep it up and thank you for an exceptional experience , I’ll surely be back when the appropriate situation arises!

Awesome experience! Dropped off a flat tire this morning, they fixed it up without batting and eye and didn’t even charge me. They also recognized my car when I pulled into the parking lot, so I didn’t even have to go inside when I came back to get the tire. Great customer service!! I will be back for all my car and tire needs in the future.

Discount Tire on N Tryon Street will always have my business. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff (Kevin in particular was awesome). These guys give great service at reasonable and transparent prices. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Exceptional service. I wanted to take the time and leave review about the excellence service I received from Tony and his team. He called me to let me know I could come in a day earlier than my appointment for 4 new tires on my SUV. I agreed and when I arrived his team had everything ready and staged to immediately get to work on my vehicle. They were able to get me in and out in under 45mins. I will be visiting this location for all my future tires & wheel needs.

My adult son with autism had a nail in his tire. He went to Firestone Tire close to this location towards the end of the day. They told him they could not patch it, a new comparable tire would be $230 and he would have to wait until the next morning to get it replaced. This morning he went to Discount Tire on North Tryon and guess what...tire was repaired and rebalanced...at No Charge! They just gained new customers for life! Johnathan was wonderful! Thank you Discount Tire and well done not taking advantage of a young man with a disability!

Johnathan (Service Rep) Did a Great Job at explaining the scenario of Tire Load Index and weight ratio contacts. He described the initial Range for tire preference from factory to street change overs. My vehicle is within the range of tires Lowest 34psi to Highest 51psi. Everyone should know these ranges for tire capacity and speed . Mavis right up the street tried to sell me tires that were unsafe and weren't knowledgeable about these variations. Shout out to Discount Tire. I had not 1, not 2 but 3 nails in my rear tires. Had it quickly inspected by the team. Went home and spoke to a tire specialist to make my choice of tire. Less than 12 hours after my order, got a call that my new tires could be installed today! The entire experience was quick and painless and I’m back on the road. Very happy with the customer service. Highly recommend!
