I was having too much fun in the snow and busted up the rims on the left side of my crown vic leaving a bulge in one of the tires as well. On my way to DT my spare tire blew up! I bought a new rim online and brought it in with the car. They replaced the badly damaged one with the new one. They swapped the slightly damaged rim with the spare rim so now my spare wheel has the small bend. They gave the spare rim a new tire as well and it ended up costing me 120.00. I'm happy that Luis and the rest of the techs were willing to work with me and do all the swapping now I'm back on the road 😈

Jordan answered all my technical questions right away and the crew mounted all 4 new tires, balanced them during my scheduled appointment time and got my car alignment done as well, all within the time promised in advanced.

However, as with any free service, there may be a wait time depending on how busy the location is. Complaining about a service that is offered for free not only undermines the goodwill of the staff but also disrespects the effort they put into helping you without charge. If waiting for a free air check feels like an inconvenience, there are alternative paid options elsewhere. Especially when the person providing the service is out there during extreme temperatures heat, cold, rainy, windy etc. sometimes a person can’t walk away to use mens room and a customer pulls up they start calling store saying they been waiting even when they barely pulled up. Respect and patience go a long way in maintaining the mutual courtesy these services are based on. FROM A COMPANY STAND POINT AND COMING FROM ALL STORE LOCATIONS AS A WHOLE IF CUSTOMERS ARE GOING TO BE COMPLAINING ABOUT A FREE SERVICE THEN YOU NEED TO START IMPLEMENTING A SMALL FEE OR JUST CHARGE FOR THE SERVICE THEN HOPEFULLY THEY CAN REALIZE TO APPRECIATE THE FREE SERVICE AND TO APPRECIATE THE ONES THAT DO THE SERVICE. CAUSE IT ISN’T THE EMPLOYEES FAULT THAT A CUSTOMER SHOWS UP KNOWING THEY MIGHT HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE KNOWING THEY HAVE OTHER PLACES TO BE AROUND THAT SAME TIME, SO INSTEAD OF SAYING THAT IT IS A FREE SERVICE UPDATE SYSTEM STATING THAT THERE WILL BE A WAIT DEPENDING ON HOW BUSY OR HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE THERE AND TO COME WITH ENOUGH TIME INCASE THERE ARE DELAYS AND THAT PATIENCE GOES A LONG LONG WAY.

Changing my review rating. Seems like tech didn't add air to the tires after rotating or balancing. I get that they are busy. I have a portable air compressor in the car for times like this and check all four. Seems like the front left and rear right were low on air, causing the wobbling at higher speeds. Once that was fixed, the wobble stopped.

EDITED review: I received a call today from Cody, the manager at this location. He apologized for the poor service I received and said that he hadn't gotten many bad comments from people who have had alignments. So maybe it was just bad luck for me. He said he's relatively new at this location, but he's a very stand-up guy and refunded my money. I really appreciate a company that will do what's right after making a mistake. Thanks.

I feel kind of scammed because they only replaced one tire. As a woman, it is not safe. I felt like I needed to advocate for myself and now I’m worried about the tires not matching due to the axel

Make sure to set up appt before going. Otherwise you will stay up to an hour and half longer than you want to.

The team at this discount tire is really amazing. You really feel taken care of - not something you necessarily expect from a tire place, but it really sets a higher bar. Everybody on the team moves quick and is solution oriented. My wife and I were super impressed!

Discount Tire is always reliable, friendly and fast. Scheduling an appointment helps the process and this location is less busy than others which we really appreciate! I've purchased all my tires at DT over the years. They also rotate and balance your tires if you purchased them there and fix everyone's flats (if they're fixable) for free. Thank you, Discount Tire for always being there over the years!

I strongly encourage you to make an appointment ahead of time. I did and they were fantastic. My car went in at the scheduled time. They got it done quickly. They were fast and friendly. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. That's all you can expect from a business. I recommend them 5 out of 5 stars

The air check station is probably the worst here. No sense of urgency from the workers. Wait times can be up to 30-40mins for 2 cars ahead of you. Customer service was okay.

Took my truck here twice for new tires and and both times were good experiences. Cody and Jordan helped me and were very helpful and informative. They let me know about condition of my tires and didn’t try to upsell me on the most expensive one. They are always busy but I knew that going in so I didn’t mind waiting I was just glad they could get me taken care of. My wife had a flat a while ago and they got her taken care of quick as well. Never had a bad experience and will continue going here if I have any other tire needs in the future

I went in for a wheel alignment a week ago. They told me they did it but. It got worse. I had to have the wheel alignment done a second time.

They are amazing. I had a free tire repaired at another branch, but air leaked more than before. I stopped by this center, and they told me that the other branch failed to repair it and that it is now unrepairable. Surprisingly, since this happened because of their fault, they offered me a free tire even though it happened at another branch. Amazing customer service, and now I'm a big fan of Discount Tire.

I had a much better experience at one of their other locations here in Austin a few years ago. The customer service at this one is nothing like that. I can't believe they try to upsell me after having to sit in line for 20 minutes. With an appointment. behind a guy that didn't even buy anything. Only for them to tell me they didn't actually have the tires I had already paid for and specifically picked because they were supposed to be in stock. So after making an excuse for not being on top of their inventory he tries to upsell me at almost twice the price. What is the point of an appointment? I only wish I still had a screen shot of the ticket

I have had a good experience getting a tire patched here in about two hours on a weekday. However, I had an appointment to get new tires put on and an alignment done. The appointment was for 8:15 on a Saturday for the tires and 8:45 for the alignment. I arrived at 8:05. They finally pulled my car in for the first time at 9, but they only have one lift, so they didn't get my car up on that until 9:45, and finally finished at 10:10. It was frustrating. I do not think I will buy tires from them again, but I will probably still come here to get them patched.
