I have used this location for Discount Tire for help on more than one occasion and been lucky and grateful to receive amazing service each time. My most recent visit was literally on Christmas Eve (day) just before the shop closed. I didn't realize just how worn and dangerous the original tires on my 2017 Fiat were, and raced over to see if I could have even two replaced in order to safely travel for the holidays. While the thought of purchasing three new tires for a European model vehicle was daunting and put a definite dent in my credit card, it would have been a greater dent without the flexibility of Tanner and his amazing staff at this location. They worked with me on pricing in a very "Thank you, God, and Merry Christmas" type of spirit and put the tires and new windshield wipers on my vehicle despite technically being closed already -- even on a holiday. I will forever be grateful to this generous and understanding staff who have helped me in the past with a flat more than once, and the Slaughter location will be my go to should I ever need assistance with my tires for the remainder of my time here in Austin. I owe Tanner and his team.

This Discount Tire was very professional. I got there at 7:55 am with a flat tire and someone unlocked the door to acknowledge me five minutes before opening! I then at 8:35 was already on the road with my tires rotated and two new ones on! And their credit card gave me 6 months no interest. Fast friendly and professional. Thank you Brayden for all your help today! I wasn’t even late getting to where I needed to be. Superb!

I dropped in with a nail in my truck tire. Prompt greeting, good analysis of the situation and options available, low cost tires offered, and service time was tolerable (about two hours).

Never go to this discount tire they over charge and I got one tire replaced and these knuckleheads put an extra 7 psi in all of my tires. Either weren’t paying attention or just didn’t care about customer safety. Do yourself a favor and never visit this location.

Amazing experience. I felt like I got VIP treatment. Yesterday I scheduled an appointment online and selected the 4 tires I wanted. That same day the called me offering if I would like to take it in early as they had availability but I wasn't able to. Today they called 15min before my appointment to confirm everything. They told me they would have a sign out front with my name on it that I could park next to and expedite the whole process. I parked next to the sign, and shortly after was received by Tanner who provided a Chick-fil-a level attitude towards everything. Service time was reasonable, my car hung out front waiting for a bay to open up for about 20-30 minutes, but after it got driven in they swapped out my four tires pretty quick. I requested to hold on to two tires for future use as spares and they even put them in discount tire bags for me for easy carry and to protect my car. Very nice. 5 star service all around. I love Discount Tire.

Avoid this place at all costs. The one on Slaughter seems professionally run. This place is a dumpster fire on every level. Have unusual size tires so got online choosing between Tire Rack and Discount Tire online ordering. Order tires from TR, they either have them or don't, and if they sell them to you they arrive on time. Ordered on DT - mistake #1 - said 1-5 days, made an appointment 2 days later get a call saying they can't get them for weeks, if at all. So had to get a different tire. But that is the BEST part of the experience. I got there, 10am appt, didn't get checked on until almost 11:30. Took another 1.5 hours to install. While waiting behind dozens of walk ins (don't bother making an appointment, it's meaningless) watching one guy back out and dry turn new tire after new tire. At this point I had it figured out - no one cares there at all. They are removating and basically have people waiting for 3 hrs in a FEMA tent. Of course no mention of this when I spoke to them because they want the business. I come back to pick it up, turn on the car and the very first thing the car does it flash up a red warning there was a dangerously underinflated tire. There was literally no way you could have turned on or moved this car without noticing it. Don't care, parked it. Not sure if there is actually a lower bar than that for a tire shop that putting someone on the road with a brand new dangerously underinflated tire when they new for a fact that was the case. So I had to wait in another line for them to properly inflate the tire they just installed. Not sure what more you need to know to be sure to choose ANY tire place in Austin but this one. It's easy to tell businesses that could care less about their customers, service or supervising their employees and this place fails on every level, to the point of putting their customers at immediate safety risk after paying them for the single service they provide. If that's what you are looking for, this is your spot.

I came here to replace the rims on my new Ram 1500 with new ones. I brought them in a package brand new. These bastards damaged 3 out of 4 of my new wheels. I went back to them to find out. But the manager, Blond, who wanted to break his face. proved to me for an hour that it wasn't them, that it was. The next day I felt a strong vibration. My wheels were unbalanced. They refused to compensate for the damaged wheels. This is the worst place. Never again.

I followed my daughter there to get a tire patched. While I was there I decided to have the pressure in my tires check d. The man that helped her let me know they offer a free pressure check. And by the time I got thru that line her car was ready also. Very friendly and very helpful.

Kid with an attitude at the front desk. Handed my the keys and didn’t say where my car even was, and they left my headlights on over night and all day. Never spending my money there again, and I can already hear them reading this, “I don’t care!” This after dropping $700 for four new tires … and after paying the kid says, “do you want your receipt?” like they’re a mcdonalds or something. That’s a crazy business decision considering how many other tire places in the area, Christian brothers, NTCB or whatever they’re called.

OMG, what can I say! I was visiting my daughter in Austin for the holidays, and I needed a tire. It was late in the afternoon. I just stopped in and met with Jeff. After a little conversation, he asked for me keys and got me right in. They had the tire in stock in like 30 minutes I was on my way. Great price and great consumer service.

The person I spoke to misquoted me and pressured me to spend more money than initially asked for. I dropped off my vehicle and should have only had to pay $139 + warrantee for one tire, as the damaged one would have been covered under warranty. When I got there and my vehicle was done, I was told to pay $670+ for one tire and two wheels. I did not ask for the two wheels, I had confirmed with the person I spoke to that I only wanted one extra tire to match the replaced, damaged tire. They ended up giving me about $100 off, still a lot larger of a number that I had to pay then I was expecting. As a young female, I feel taken advantage of and would not recommend anyone else to go there.

This place is absolutely amazing. I had noticed that my front left tire was lower on air than the rest and I assumed that it was just due to the cold weather that we’ve been having, so I went to go get an air check on my tires. That’s when I came across Angel, who was doing the air checks at the time and he notified me that the tire was actually a flat tire and that if I wanted to, I could get scheduled in to have them check it out and patch it out for free (if that were the case). He gave me the rundown of everything that were to happen and had me go inside where I was seated and scheduled in with Elmer. Elmer then helped me get signed in and told me the wait time on when it should be done. I was in no hurry and I was also aware that I wasn’t a scheduled appointment, but they were able to take me in nonetheless, which was very kind of them (it being the very end of the day). After a few minutes waiting, Chino had my car ready in the front. He notified me that I had A SCREW in my tire and that it was slowly deflating! They went ahead and patched my tire up and filled all my tires. Honestly, very thorough and genuine guys, Thank you guys for your help!

Between my husband and myself we have purchased multiple sets of tires from this company over the years, so when it came time to purchase tires for our new Jeep we came back here. They installed my new tires with new TPMS units that we provided, but after a few days they still weren't registering with the computer system on my jeep. I did exactly what they recommended (drive for 10 min above 15mph) a few times, but they still wouldn't register. Brought the jeep back to them and spoke with David who checked them and said they were transmitting and didn't know why they weren't registering. Long story short, they took the new ones off and put the original ones back on and they are working perfectly now. I just want to say how grateful I am for David and all the help he provided to me to help solve this problem. I will definitely be back here when I need new tires!! Thank you David and Discount Tire for the amazing customer service!!!

Had a tire blow out on the way to work, the guys here were able to squeeze me in the same day and stayed late to make sure that I wouldn't be stranded without a ride home. All staff here was friendly and did a great job, but I also want to give a shout-out to Jeff for the great service! Keep it up guys, I know where I'll be coming for my next set of tires!

I like discount tire but it's kinda like shopping for a new car or phone now. They want you to upgrade. They can't fix your tire because the tread depth is too low and now you need to buy 4 tires because it's all- wheel drive, even though the other 3 tires have 20,000 miles left on them. I work hard for my $ and hate the constant battle to try to keep it.

It took us waiting more than 3 hrs just for repairing 1 tire. They didnot follow the line-up. It seemed that they rather get $$$$ over replacing the free tire. I am really disappointed in their service to the loyal customers.

Veteran discount. Brought in my 4 Runner with a nail in the tire. I ordered new tires and were delivered samday. I chose not to get work done until next day. I paid with a check, they have a verification system. Work was quoted 1.5 hrs and was done in 45 mins. Would use again.

Had tire code popping up so made an appointment. Received service right away from Elmer who was so helpful, friendly and professional! I’ll be happily returning to this Discount Tire for all tire-related needs for my van and my SUV.
