Called several places for a wheel bearing replacement and was told it would take 4 days to get my car in. Called Direct Auto at 3pm and got it back 3 hours later with the replacement. It was also 30% cheaper than other shops had quoted. A great houston tire shop in the heights.

I pulled in here in the afternoon right before closing. The two gentleman working there said they would be able to fix my issue the next day. They were efficient, fair priced, and extremely kind when dealing with me as a customer. I live in the neighborhood and will be using them again in the future.

I used to refer everyone here, I even have another 5star review posted from my old acct, but things have changed or maybe I’d been getting ripped off the whole time, idk. I took my car in for brake pad replacement a month ago, picked it up and was charged (of course). They told me I might need the rotors done too if it keeps squeaking. It started squealing again in a couple weeks, so I brought it back for rotor replacement and figured I’d get my an oil change while it’s in. I paid $1300+ for this. That is INSANE. Even the dealership doesn’t charge this much. When I questioned the cost, I was not able to be presented with a cost break down and told to come back later for it - what good is that after I have to pay now? I was also told that the reason it cost so much is bc they upgraded the brake pads they use and they’re more expensive now… I told him that I just had my pads replaced a month ago at most so they shouldn’t have needed it - but no, he actually informed me that they never replaced my pads last time, they just adjusted them. WHAT?! I paid for a service last time I didn’t get, wasn’t made aware of, and am now paying an outrageous cost for work today. I won’t be back. I had a friend planning to take her car there tomorrow on my referral, I sent a msg to tell her not to and she’s looking into somewhere else. While I’m all for supporting local businesses; I can’t continue to do so when they are not being honest with me about what I’m paying for.

I was tremendously satisfied with their work and would definitely use them again for tire issues. I had a very large nail in one tire, and they checked it out, fixed it, and had me on my way in 20 minutes. I was very impressed!

Able and his help (Alex) are very kind and usually have a great turnaround time. I’ve had help with oil changes, struts etc. I know they help a lot of folks with tires. Nice to have them in the neighborhood. He also has a warranty on most labor and parts (ask for specifics)

Alex was not helpful. I went in to replace my brake pads, and he suggested I also replace my power steering pump. The brakes were replaced just fine, but the power steering was functioning perfectly fine until he replaced the power steering pump. They make suggestions that do not need to be fixed just to make money. When I tell them I'm having issues, Alex doesn't call or text me back. At least fix your error, but that's too much to ask for. I do NOT recommend this shop.

I would never go anywhere else. This is the only garage in Houston that I trust and enjoy interacting with. They’ve always done great work on my vehicle and helped me find ways to save money when needed. It’s a small shop, and you can feel that these guys genuinely care for their customer’s needs and do a great job.

We live around the corner drove past after we realized there was a nail in our tire. They were closed but there and agreed to look at the tire. Got us patches up in no time! Great service, we really appreciate it!

Abel is a very down to earth guy he knows his stuff and can get anything done for you I just had new upper control arms installed on my Tacoma and his price was unbeatable. He has actually let me use his jack once so I can coat my suspension and frame with fluid film for free.

I got a great price and super service from the owner. Purchased four new all-terrain tires for my International Scout that I just finished restoring. Super happy with how they look at almost half the price of all the other tires stores that I compared. Grateful!

I had four Fuel Off-Road wheels in Matte Black color that had a bunch of rock-rash damage. They removed the damage and matched the matte-black color perfectly. They look as good as new. All of the other shops that I called said it was not possible to match the same color of paint. Abel was courteous and prompt. I highly recommend this shop.

Not a good place to get your rim fixed. He has had my wheel for a week now when he promised a 2 day turnaround. I saw my wheel on Friday after he told me to pick it up. When I arrived he told me it needed more time, because he put jb weld all around the rim which I never approved of. Great tire prices and a friendly guy, just needs to learn how to communicate better. Also the time on here says he opens at 8 when he doesn't open till 10. Again wasted my time going to the place only to find out hes closed till 10
