It has been 10 months since I took my 2004 E450 into this shop and she’s running like an absolute champ with zero issues. After going to a few other shops in Boise and having issue after issue I brought it here. The entire team was A+ and treated me very well. Transparent, professional, reasonable. I felt the price was fair and communication could not have been better. If you’re in a 300 mile radius and in need of a diesel mechanic, this is the place. I have driven my rig over 15k miles since the repair and she continues to purrr with glee. THANK YOU TO THE WHOLE DERANGED DIESEL TEAM!

Am traveling across the country, water pump went out. Got me in fast. Finish the repair same day. Came in a couple hundred under the repair estimate. Unbelievable service and execution ! Highly recommended.

Steve is very knowledgeable diesel mechanic. His shop is organized and goes above and beyond to help you out with a problem. my Dodge lost its engine and he has helped me out, not taking advantage of a guy from out of town.

Steve is 100% honest. I thought I needed a King Pin replacement on my Intl LT 625. I ordered the parts Steve asked me to get. We had a previous diagnosis so we thought we knew what we needed. First, he scheduled us in for the repair immediately. Upon the start of the job he called me immediately to say the following - "I cannot ethically change the king pins there is nothing wrong with the current setup." He then stated the only things it could be and we decided to make the change to the shocks. Not only was that job done quickly and fairly, he also repaired several air leaks. Steve is an outstanding human being ethical and honest. You'll want to hug him - BUT he is not a huge fan of hugs from strangers. Thanks Steve

I decided to use these guys to rebuild my 6.0 Powerstroke. It was a big job and an expensive one. I had a huge list of things to do with a full engine rebuild. They were fair on the price, but when it came down to some options, Steve recommended a couple and steered me away from a couple that were not necessary. He did not act like a typical mechanic and up sell just to make more money. Ben did the work very well, I checked up on him a couple times. It was done on time and ran great. A few months later I used them again to replace my cat converter. They did an awesome job on that too. Now I’m not the type of person to leave a review but about 8 months after the motor rebuild I lost all of my transmission fluid while driving about 50mph. I looked and saw it was coming from my transmission cooler area and figured I blew it. I took it back to them to put a new trans cooler in. Knowing Deranged doesn’t really inspect or rebuild transmissions I told Kimberly I was going to have it towed to my transmission shop after they did the work so I could have my transmission inspected to rule out any damage. She said okay and wrote up the work order. Steve called me later that day and told me he could see where a clamp was not installed properly by them and he would cover any damage caused as well as whatever my transmission shop charges me for the inspection and refilling it. This blew me away! I was so impressed by his honesty and willingness to make it right. Steve even had Ben power wash the entire undercarriage with a hotsie after I got it back from the transmission shop. These guys are GREAT! I would fully recommend using them.

I just want to give a sincere thanks to these guys at Deranged Diesel as my 6.0 powerstroke was having some surging and idling issues that were growing rather frustrating normally I work on my truck myself because I am very particular and so I was weary taking it to a shop to begin with but I rolled the dice and took it to these guys because I saw the great reviews online well the reviews all stand true because these guys were absolutely amazing told them what the truck was doing left the truck with them and the next day they dialed it down to the ICP sensor and replaced it along with the wiring pigtail in the back of the motor which is extremely hard to get to. They didn't hassle us or try to upsell us like a lot of other shops would do they simply fixed what was wrong with my truck and returned it the following day it's running great it runs like it was brand new again thank you so much to all of you guys we will definitely be back with future business and would recommend them to anybody considering a reputable shop!!!!!

I would like to thank Steve for helping me out I'm from Minnesota my truck broke down out there, He was the only shop that would give me the time of day. every shop was booked for 2 week we would have been stranded out there . Steve installed new injector clip on my Duramax. And we made it back home. Thanks a lot Steve

This is another great American business with the proprietor at your service. I was welcomed warmly and treated fairly with every aspect of the repair to my vehicle.
