I recently had some major engine troubles with my 16 Tiguan and was trepidatious about the repair process but Alan explained everything plainly and gave the utmost care to my vehicle. For the first time in my life, I felt comfortable with leaving my car with a mechanic and knew that I was being given a fair opinion without any unnecessary repairs being pushed. I would recommend this place to any Volkswagen owner in the Triad. Throw the dealerships out the window. Alan is a very friendly guy and goes above and beyond with his work. He’s also very knowledgeable, honest about what he can do and what needs to be done, and is great at keeping you in the loop with your vehicle. I went in after I discovered a wet spot on the ground under my car (VW CC), and when I arrived, Alan came outside with me, popped the hood, and quickly identified a few places the leak was potentially coming from. He was very keen to give me an idea of what he’d be working on. Very open and honest. Bear in mind, I had contacted about 5 other shops before this, and none were willing to work on my CC. He explained to me the problems he discovered after looking it over, and got me out at a very fair price for the work he had to do. He also came in on a Saturday to get it finished before I needed it to go to work the next week (sorry to cut your weekend short)! I took it in on a Thursday, and it needed a fair bit of work since the previous owner had neglected it, but the wait was totally worth it! If you have a Volkswagen and are in the area, don’t bother going anywhere else. Alan is the guy you want. Der Wagen Haus has my business from now on! Edit: At the time of writing this (3/20/2021), his schedule is pretty full, but if you can work with him, and you can work it out with your own life, I promise it’ll be worth it.

More than happy customer: I had the BEST experience here. I got a flat tire due to a bent my rim on my 2013 VW Jetta, had to get it towed to a dealership to get the locking lug nut removed and get the spare installed. After getting my car back, Alan (the owner) was able to order me the rim and tires and install them for HALF the price the dealership quoted me. Alan was so friendly, professional, and did amazing work for more than a fair price. I recommend him for any work you need done with hard to find VW part replacements. THANK YOU ALAN, I will be back!

The owner was very disinterested in helping me on several occasions. He had an attitude when asked for a simple quote. A completely unpleasant experience on two different occasions. I would not recommend this shop to a diverse crowd if you understand the implication.

Expert service for German and all cars. Very fair prices and gives me confidence everything is done right. Alan took the time to take me through what he did and why, show me the repairs, and then even show me the old parts. Also walked me through what will need to be addressed in the future but also why it can wait. Car is running like a top thanks to him!

I do most of my work on my 2007 GTI myself, but when I need an expert, Der Wagen Haus is the only place I trust. They have very deep knowledge of German cars and all their weird quirks. DWH has done exceptional work on my car multiple times for a fair price. If you own a VW in Greensboro, your car should be serviced here.

The best VW Mechanic in the Triad. Very reasonable prices for all the services that I have had done here compared the the dealership. I have a 2015 Passat TDI and have always had same day service for all of my regular scheduled maintenance. This shop is a pleasure to work with.

Scammed me out of thousands in 2017 with my Jetta. Took advantage of a young college student. Never recommend this place again. Went in for one repair, one month later another major repair had to be done because they damaged something else purposely. Took my car to a different mechanic and he told me the last peeople who worked on the car trashed it even after i had major repair work done & paid MAJOR MONEY.
