Finding an honest mechanic is sometimes like striking gold. While traveling through Colorado Springs to get back to base, I had a check engine light come on in addition to some other problems another mechanic diagnosed. Had I followed through without getting Dave's opinion I would've been set back at minimum $1-2000. Dave took me in as a walk-in and reviewed the problems the other mechanics diagnosed and said there was nothing wrong with those items, pinpointed the actual problem, and reviewed my check engine light giving me peace of mind. He explained everything in a very professional and understandable matter. Granted I'm not from the area, I wish I had access to Dave's Automotive Repair where I'm at and would 110% recommend this shop to anyone seeking to get automotive work done. Thank you!

We were in town from Ohio and felt a little unsure about the brakes after the long drive, many road trips and pikes peak…Dave was able to get us in and went above and beyond to make sure that we were safe before we loaded up for the 20 hr drive home. I was so thankful that he was able to help. Honestly, it felt like if I had my dad or a brother looking at it, I felt like he took care of it as he would if I were a member of the family. I felt relieved and safe getting back in the car for our journey home. The only thing I wish was that I could find a place like this at home! Thank you so much Dave and crew!!!

Dave and his team work great, very quick and well done. They installed an aftermarket clutch kit on my Focus and it turned out awesome. Drives great. Whenever I called, I was always able to get ahold of someone in the shop was a plus.

HONEST, FAIR, and CHEAP!! Dave is the best mechanic I've ever been to! Got me in quick when I needed it and did quality work. He cares about the customer and isn't pushy on doing more (but he'll give you the option to fix it properly if you're willing to spend the money). Prices are better than big name shops and at the end of the day this is the place you want to support. GO TO DAVE'S!!

This is the mechanic you hope you find. This is the mechanic that makes u want to say "i know a guy". Old school, tries to fix instead of just immediately replace, which is nice these days. Always charged me more than fairly and worked with me whenever he could. Got my car back on the road about 4 times when I really needed it for as good a price as he could possibly give me and no other mechanic would even try. I moved from Philly to here about 5 yrs ago and honestly I thankmy lucky stars I found this guy. If your new to town he's the guy you want to see. TALENTED MECHANIC!

Was leaking a bunch of oil and these guys replaced the oil filter housing. Back again today because the e break is giving me a shoes. I drive all week along for work picking up and dropping off, it's critical to keep this car running. Same great attitude same expertise both visits. It's really good to know these guys are around.

I came to Dave's because of his positive reviews through Google. I'm sure glad I did. To summarize I had brought my vehicle in with a specific part that I needed replaced. He was able to get me in the next day which was awesome. On top of that after inspecting the vehicle he determined that the repair I wanted done wasn't needed and further investigated to find the issue. After spending much of his time searching for said problem he determined that the vehicle was fine and didn't charge me any money whatsoever. How can you not give 5 stars to an honest mechanic who actually cares about his customers and can be trusted? Thank you again Dave for your hospitality.

My son recently completed his service in the Army and was preparing to leave Colorado Springs to return to San Antonio Texas. On our way to pick up a trailer we noticed the smell of burning rubber/plastic in the engine compartment. We were referred at Dave's Automotive by the trailer rental place. A gentleman, I'm assuming was Dave, came out inspected the truck thoroughly. He spent about 20 minutes inspecting the truck and found wires that were touching the exhaust. He re-routed the wires and the problem was fixed. I asked for the cost of the repairs, and he refused payment. I know his labor was minimal but the peace of mind he gave us was huge. I wish my son had known about Dave's Automotive during his posting in Colorado Springs. Finding businesses with that kind of integrity and compassion is rare.

Took my car in like 3 weeks.ago to find out what going on with it they told that it was the ignition coils. So I got that fixed they charged me $405 to fix the issue and here I am 3 weeks later and the one of the coils is burned out out again...

We had Dave's Automotive Repair do several mechanical upgrades and a few driver modifications to our 1928 Ford Model AA Truck and he did phenominal craftsmanship on the work. We are very pleased and the cost of labor and parts was very reasonable.

This company put a new alternator in my 2006 Saturn and only took about 3 days. For $500, I felt they were fair and congenial. Only thing, pretty hard to find.
