They will get the job done but they will do the bare minimum. I had a key ordered in for my beetle Volkswagen and it still doesn't connect to the locks for unlocking and locking the car. Aside from this recent repair, my car is always left needing more repairs. And is always dirty when I get it back. Not saying they should pull out the red carpet but I am saying I've been to other automotive mechanics, and they always go above and beyond; do not expect that from this place ✌🏼

Stop right here ladies! I think every female can say that when they go into a car shop or anything car related, you feel like you're about to be ripped off. Not this place! I had a small piece of my Acura RDX hanging (skid rack I believe). Well I took it here and they advised me that it's not going to harm any of the parts of my car. It was actually something else. They took it off and didn't even charge extra. This is a place that I would send my own mom to if she was in San Antonio. These guys are amazing and in my whole life I have never met a car shop with such integrity and honesty. They are a gem and I truly appreciate it. I feel like a lot of reviews are bought or done by people that shops know but not me! No ma'am! I'm not even from here I'm from Dallas. If I can help any other female to choose a shop that is stand-up then I am glad I could help.

While traveling on a 2600 mile trip stopped in San Antonio to fuel up 4 hrs into my trip and noticed something in the front end of my F250 not sounding right.. It sounded like something was coming apart! Not being from the area I got on google and called D&S Garage because of the great reviews they had. They offered a tow truck but I felt like I could make it limping her over since I was only 5 miles from the shop. Upon arrival I explained my situation and they got someone on it right away. Turns out my a/c compressor had locked up and needed replacing aswell as the belt and pullies. What would normally take a day or two considering how busy they were took 5 hours to get me back on the road since they understood I was passing through and had a long trip ahead of me. I made it to the state of Oregon without any issues and greatful to God for guiding me to D&S Garage. Don't hesitate to call them, they are very professional and knowledgeable...

Folks there are professional, friendly, and down to earth. Kudos to Johnny and Kevin especially! My Silverado 2500HD with 260,000 miles is running like a new truck thanks to there repair and maintenance. I am positive it will go to 1M miles as long as they are here. Highly recommended. Btw, bring the doughnuts and tip any dude (or dudette… is there dudette in there btw?) whenever you bring your car. Just a common gesture of appreciations goes long way folks. Rae

I brought my car in for a repair another shop said was necessary and the mechanics at D & G said it wasn’t needed. All they ended up doing for me was an oil change. I was so impressed with their honesty that it is the only shop I will take my car to in the future. It was a great experience!!!!!!!!

D & S Garage and Diesel Service gets my highest 5 star rating for offering good auto repair at a reasonable price. There are many auto repair shops along the US Highway 281 corridor from the airport north up to Bulverde. This corridor includes auto shops a few miles to the west or east of 281 as well as directly on the feeders of 281. D & S is just west of the highway. In the past few years, I have tried at least five other shops in this area before finding D & S. For one reason or another, I did not use them again. Either outrageously high prices, bad diagnosis, overkill recommendations for work that did not need to be done, etc. The I found D & S and am completely satisfied with their work. In my experience, they are very honest and competent. Which is why I will continue to give them all of my business.
