Please don’t waste time coming here. They don’t respect your time and will be unapologetic for three hours to rotate your tires. Find a different vendor to do business with. I am cancelling my Costco membership due to this. There are too many other choice to put up with poor service

This is a terrible costco tire service place. Compares to other costco locations, this location’s employee did not have same training. They don’t care if there is someone standing in appointments line for more than 20 mins, they took every walk in customer even came after me. Until I had a chance to talk to one of the employees who came out to help another customer, they let me know that front desk supposed to call appointments customer first. Also they gave an estimate 1 and half hour for a tire repair appointment. 2 and half hours later they did not even move my car. I will suggest to go to other costco tire locations just to avoid bad management in this location.

Needed a puncture repaired and a tire rotation. Waited in line for over 30-ish mins and got nowhere near being helped. A long line extended out the door, and a lot of openly impatient, annoyed customers not getting service. Several employees standing around listlessly doing nothing at the front desk, or, moving deathly slowly, disappearing into the back for long periods. Maybe two people were served in the time I was there, with 10-12 waiting. Departed and had the task done instantly by our local mechanic.

Costco Tire Center is hands down one of the best places for tire services and reasonable prices! Their rates are incredibly fair, and the quality of their work is top-notch. Whether it's new tires, rotations, or repairs, they get the job done right every time. The service here is excellent—efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. The staff takes the time to explain your options and ensures you leave feeling confident about your decision. It's clear they care about their customers. The only thing to keep in mind is that they are always busy (and for a good reason!), so it’s best to plan ahead. Even with the high demand, they manage to maintain a professional and courteous atmosphere. I highly recommend Costco Tire Center for anyone looking for reliable service and great value. they are usually always busy, but definitely worth the wait!

Didn't get a call when the tires came in, had to reschedule an appt, and the day of the appt they made us wait 2.5 hours (past closing!) to finish and then didn’t set the TPMS properly. Sounds like a pretty bad management and QAQC procedures here. Do better Fairfax!

Extremely disappointing experience this morning. I called at least 5 times to try to get an answer without having to come to the tire center. No one picks up the phones so I had to come in. I needed to have an associate special order a battery that they didn’t have in stock and I couldn’t order online. Associate tells me she can’t order it on their end and I will have to order it myself online. I pull up the battery on the Costco website where it clearly states I cannot order online and have to get it from the warehouse, Chelsey walked off and wasn’t helping so I ask for the manager to help. He is unable to order the battery I need online and tells me he can only order 51R. There is a rack of 51R in stock at the store, but that’s not the battery that my car needs - I’m sure. I removed the battery, have a picture of the old one and know which way the leads run. I need a 51, NOT a 51R. No one is able to help me at the Fairfax location after 30 minutes. I drive 25 mins extra to Sterling where they help me with the special order in less than a minute! And with a positive ‘can do’ attitude! Chelsey at the Fairfax location provided terrible service. Apparently they ‘can’t’ provide the same level of service as the Sterling location.

I had an appointment at Costco Tire for 6 pm to check on a set of tires I had installed here just a month ago, as they were losing air. Unfortunately, it’s now been over four hours, and my frozen products from Costco have defrosted, yet the tire service still isn’t finished.

Questionable service quality and inordinate delays on every visit at this Costco Tire center ( plan for 2 hours wait at a minimum every time ) … got a text message that it’s ready for pickup but the supervisor / front desk guy disappeared saying that it’s a glitch in the system…after waiting 30 minutes at an empty counter walked to the back to see the car already outside and parked … then had to beg to get my own keys back …word of advice avoid this Costco tire center at all costs if you don’t have hours of your precious life to waste here !

Do not come here. Made an appt for 12:30, showed up on time and waited in line to check in for 20 minutes before someone spoke to me. Once I start getting checked in one of the male employees sasses me over being 20 minutes late after he saw me standing in line for 20 minutes while he wasn’t helping anyone. Then when I come to pick up my car they tried to give me someone’s Honda key that they had put with my paperwork. I have a Kia. Customer service was extremely rude and subpar throughout the entire experience.

Costco Tire Center installed my 2005 Honda Civic EX tires recently. The whole process was straightforward. l ordered the tires at the Fairfax warehouse in person and made appointment for installation when the tires were delivered to the warehouse. Installation took about one and half hours which was a dramatic improvement over old procedures. The saving at Costco Tire Center is significant with promotional discount, 5-year road hazard warranty, free inflation and torque check, balance and rotation. The technicians are proficient. The staffs at reception counter are polite and efficient. The new Michelin Defender T+H tries are great with smooth and comfortable rides. Finally the 25-mile torque check for new tires is done ✅ quickly without further appointment. It is a highly recommended safety check for new tires.

I'm surprised to see the relatively low ratings for the Costco Tire Center in Fairfax, as I've had nothing but great experiences with them. Their warranty coverage is outstanding—no questions asked. When I had a nail puncture my original tire (Michelin Primacy XC), likely from a home improvement store, they ordered a new one and installed it for under $75. That's a great deal, especially considering that many places don't honor warranties as readily or maintain consistent quality of work. A special shout-out to Shawn, who went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. His professionalism and attention to detail really made the difference in my experience! I recently decided to replace all four tires with the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 All Season Tire option for my Ford F-150 Lightning, as the weight of the vehicle was wearing down the tread on the original Michelin Primacy XC tires too quickly. Costco recommended Michelin's new, more durable EV-rated tires (Michelin - Defender LTX M/S2 or Michelin - X LT A/S 2), which are designed to handle the extra weight common in electric vehicles. I chose Costco for their reliability and ease of handling any tire-related issues, like punctures. Plus, they converted all my tires to nitrogen, which holds pressure more consistently compared to regular air. Overall, I've found Costco Tire Center—and especially Shawn—to be reliable, professional, and easy to work with, making them my go-to for any tire needs.

One of the worst companies I have dealt with. I bought a car tire a week ago and they did not find me an appointment for installation. When I requested an appointment for installation, I only found it during the week from Monday to Friday in the morning only. My work does not allow me to be present in the morning during those days.

A Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience at Costco Fairfax Tire Center I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with my recent experience at Costco Fairfax Tire. Despite having completed my tire order weeks in advance and receiving a confirmation text, I was met with incompetence and disrespect from one of the staff members, Rosa. When I arrived for my scheduled tire replacement, Rosa claimed she couldn't find my information and proceeded to call another staff member to find my order. She showed no remorse or apology for her mistake, leaving me feeling frustrated and disrespected. To make matters worse, when I received a call confirming that my tire replacement was complete, I was waiting in line to pick up my vehicle. However, Rosa skipped over me and only attended to customers who had reservations, despite my being next in line. I was forced to wait and wait, with no effort made by Rosa to rectify the situation. It's unacceptable that I had to waste my entire day waiting for a simple tire replacement, and it's even more egregious that Rosa showed no regard for customer service or basic human decency. Her lack of accountability and incompetence is a clear indication of a larger problem with employee training and customer service at Costco Fairfax Tire. As a result, I will not be returning to this location again and would advise others to avoid it. Rosa's behavior is a reflection of the poor training and lack of respect for customers that is prevalent at this store.

Absolutely horrible. Avoid this place at all costs. I ordered tires and had them delivered to this location. I made a member appointment. When I checked in at noon everything went normally. By 6 pm I hadn't heard anything so I called...and called...and called with no answer. I finally got through by getting ahold of the main store office, who had to radio and walk to the tire center. The conversation that ensued was absurd. This guy insists they called and left a voicemail for me to ask if I really wanted the tires I had ordered. I had no missed call and no voicemail. He began rambling about what season of tire it was and that it wasn't run flat. They essentially disagreed with my personal choice for tires and just decided not to install them. I told them to install the tires before they closed at 8:30 pm. He said he would, and would call. He never called, we couldn't get an answer, and gave up. I had to catch a flight the next morning so took a different vehicle. My wife got ahold of the tire center and they told her my car was ready. They lied. My father went to pick it up and they told him they canceled the order. I'm serious, you can't make this up. My father instructed them to install the damn tires, and they finally did...30 hours after I dropped it off. These guys are grade A clowns....go anywhere else.

Long time Costco Member. Love Costco, but tire center service is getting worse and worse at this location. Team members kept repeating that they were short on staff which I am sure it was true, but for a company like Costco, I am sure they can do better. Waited almost 4 hours just for tire service.

I waited 6.5 hours today for the tire center to be unable to diagnose the problem with my tire. The problem is difficult to detect. Understandable. The center is short-staffed so the queue is pushed back. Understandable. What is not acceptable is expecting the customer to meet an appointment time while fully aware that they will not be served until four hours after they arrive. If you know at noon that the queue is fours hours long, send a text blast to the rest of the appointments in the day, telling the 3pm appointments to come at 7pm. Instead of having the 3pm appointment get here, and wait 4 hours for his car to get serviced. And send texts to the 7pm appointments telling them to come tomorrow instead, as I saw many other customers with late appointments drive all the way out to Costco just to be told to come back tomorrow. Or if short-staffing is the main problem, reduce the number of appointments. An alternative would be to deprioritize the walk-ins. The purpose of Costco tire center is to get customers to shop at Costco while their car is being serviced in the center, or to renew the memberships of customers who use the tire center services. The priority should not be on customers who came to Costco to shop and happen to walk in to get their car serviced. In fact, make it appointment only, and have walk-ins be invited to book an appointment at a later date (and shop again). As a long-time Costco fan, I have not had a worse Costco experience. However, the staff work hard and are friendly, and the prices are cheap, so two stars. Whoever is in charge, do better. And put a freezer in the tire center so the frozen food can be stored while customers are waiting for their cars to finish. That can and should be implemented tomorrow.

Significantly understaffed or mismanaged. Today there was only one person at the front desk for more than an hour. Appointments were running approximately two hours behind. There is no reason that 2-3 people were not there to help in a shop that usually has all the appointments booked EVERYDAY. I wish I would have gotten the attendants name because he did an amazing job in spite of the management. He prioritizing pick ups and scheduled appointments drop offs but there was a line 5-6 people deep for more than an hour.

Superb quality and value! In particular, Chelsey and John (?) handled an absolutely irate customer with immense control and professionalism. Customers do have bad experiences sometimes. Customers yell at service teammates. Chelsey and John deserve a huge digital pat on the back for diffusing and resolving the issue without letting the irate customer explode. Just superb guys. Thanks! I will come back for sure.

If I could, I would place a 0 for this tire center. I called to make an appointment to bring my car in for a tire check and my appointment was supposedly scheduled for early in the morning the next day. When I arrived, apparently there was no appointment made. Though I dropped my car off at 8:45am, I didn’t receive any call regarding its status. When I called them at 4pm, the tech told me that my appointment was a walk in instead of a scheduled appointment. My car was not even looked at yet. I understand there are other cars in front of the line but the guy whom I talked to was just very rude and disrespectful. He made it sound like it was my fault for not having an appointment when it was there mistake. I don’t think I would ever go back to Costco for my tire service again

You get what you pay for with their cheap prices. The tires are not the issue, it’s the clueless installer that messes up your rims in the process and when you submit a claim they want proof that it wasn’t their employee because that’s exactly what everyone does prior to taking your car for new tires. MAKE A VIDEO W/TIME & DATE OF YOUR CAR & TIRES AS SOON AS YOU DROPIT OFF!!! That or buy the tires and have your dealer install them.

If there were 0 stars, I would give them this rating. The tires ordered were the wrong ones for a tire installation for my car. I didn’t find this out until after booking a walk in appointment at around 11am, where I was told to come back at closing time to collect my car after the tires were installed. I ended up Ubering back to my home in Tysons Corner area only to be called 3.5 hours later to inform me the tires ordered were wrong. I am now Ubering back to collect my car, get a refund and have no plans to work with this Tire Center in the future. Save yourself some time and look elsewhere. I am going back to my dealership/service center where they are friendlier and more efficient. I thought to give Costco a chance since their tire prices were lower but after this experience, I will not return.

It’s the lies that hurt the most at this Costco Tire Center. Just because it is spoken in an accent you can’t understand doesn’t make it any less a lie. It is the lie that your vehicle will be serviced in the order it arrived. It is the lie that it will be done by a certain time. It is the lie that Costco rotation and balance service for the life of your tires is a real thing. It got you to buy your tires here once - don’t let it happen again. You are smarter than that.
