Talented, upstanding team at Colonial! We had the misfortune of breaking down on our way north through Danbury but the good fortune of finding Colonial Auto Repair who were super helpful, honest, and caring all the way throughout and got us back on the road with an expert repair. Jim and Steve are experienced pros. Highly recommended!

small two man shop, old school. Does just wants need to be done at a fair price. Doesn't tell you EVERYTHING that needs to be fixed, just what has to be fixed.

I've been using Colonial Auto Repair for decades! It's my, "go to," mechanic shop. Steve & Jim are wonderful about being frank with you. Rather than trying to sell you more services on your vehicle, they'll tell you if you would be wasting money by continuing to pay for repairs. Pleasant & friendly people, fair pricing and car service you can feel comfortable about.

ROYALLY ALONE ROYAL ME ROYAL ALICE S. ELIZABETH ROYAL HERE. COLONIAL AUTO REPAIR WAS OF GREAT HELP INFORMATION WISE BUT STATED IT WOULD BE WEEKS BEFORE THE JOB COULD BE DONE THEN AFTER SEEING MY TRAIL BLAZER STATED IT WAS A TOTAL LOST WHILE IT WAS AT DANBURY AUTO BODY WHO DOESN'T REPAIR SUCH DAMAGE OR ESTIMATE. IT IS NOT THE REPAIR SHOP NOR HERTZ RENTAL BUT LIBERTY MUTUAL&ALL SECRETLY AFFILIATED WITH THEM THATS CAUSING MY HEART PROBLEM TOO WORSEN MY BLOOD PRESSURE TOO SORE TOO A POINT THAT IS DANGEROUS AS MY DOCTORS STATED LAST WEEK WHICH IS SOMETHING I DIDN'T WANT TOO HEAR. SO ALL IN ALL RECOMMEND ALL BUSINESSES MENTIONED ASIDE FROM LIBERTY MUTUAL WHO HASN'T EVEN RESPONDED TOO THE ESTIMATE&ALL ASSOCIATION WITH THEM. I CAN'T GET A NEW INSURANCE COMPANY UNTIL LAWSUIT FILING& COMPLAINT FILING WITH STATE INSURANCE OF CT. SO THANKSGIVINGS RUINED AND CHRISTMAS ALSO. Jimmy and Steve have consistently delivered honest and quality workmanship over the past ten years for which I have had my vehicles serviced at there shops. I don't bring my car there often because when they fix it, it stays fixed and if they can't fix it they have referred me to someone else in there network that could deliver.

They are friendly and personable yes. But they are also extremely knowledgable,experienced and very talented mechanics. Morever, they are dependable and reliable. Steve and Jimmy at Colonial Auto Repair are competent, honest, fair, and very nice too! It's rare to find an auto mechanic that you feel 100% confident about - Steve and Jimmy are a rare find. I have been recommending them to all my friends and family for a couple of years now. They are great!
