I made a reservation for an oil change and determining why the engine light came on. They asked if I would like for them to do a complementary inspection. I accepted their offer. They contacted me the next day and we discussed their findings. I accepted about 70% of their recommendations for repair. They provided an estimate and had my truck ready in 2 days. I have a great deal of confidence in this Christian Brothers Automotive shop on Happy Valley Road.

Customers Beware!!! Took my vehicle in and was told I needed rear brakes and rotors. I was surprised as there was no indication I needed that. No squeaking or vibration of any kind. But they are the experts so $2900.00 later, I drove off with new rear brakes and rotors. But NOW my brakes were squeaking. Obviously I took it back the next week and was told "Oh its your front brakes that need replaced now" Weird because they did not mention that the week prior when they did their inspection that found the rear brakes. Anyway, I was told for another $2500 they would be happy to replace the fronts. I declined. Took my vehicle to Joes Auto, I said nothing other than that my brakes were squeaking. 20 mins later, they called and said it was my rear brakes!! They could tell they had recently been replaced and informed me my FRONTS ARE FINE and the wrong semi metallic material was used on my rears and they were not set correctly. That's why my rear brakes were now squeaking. Christian Brothers tried to scam me of getting new fronts that are fine after installing the wrong rears that now I'm 90% sure I didn't need. Stay away from this place. Oh and go to Joes Auto..They do not have free bibles but they are honest.

Very helpful! Clear explanations! Help with transportation of vehicle. Clear explanation of repairs, parts, costs, and time needed for service. A contact person I could call for questions. I would definitely use them again!

I will go to Christian Brothers every time I have an issue. The communication, speed and transparency just can’t be beat. I’ve never encountered a team member there that wasn’t kind.

Original Review (1 Star): This review is for those who aren't mechanics – make sure you know your car parts and memorize what has been replaced recently. Despite showing Christian Brothers Automotive paperwork detailing the recently replaced parts, we mistakenly trusted they would add this to their internal notes when we saw Mike typing on the computer. Unfortunately, they didn’t, and when they told us the EGR valve needed replacing, they didn’t confirm whether it had already been replaced. I am disappointed with their service. They charged me $705 to replace a brand-new EGR valve that had already been installed by someone else. Had I realized this sooner, I could have taken the faulty part back to the manufacturer under warranty. I even left the paperwork and the old part on the passenger seat as a reminder, but I should have reminded myself instead of trusting they would note it. While their work is excellent and comes with a great warranty, their lack of attention to detail and failure to prioritize customer transparency left me feeling taken advantage of. Their process rewarded both my oversight and their disorganization, which is unacceptable for customers relying on their expertise. I returned to make them aware of the situation and learned the hard way that trust alone isn’t enough when signing off on an expensive final decision. It is for this reason that it is important for those who aren't mechanics or are not well-versed to still, in your busy schedule, unfortunately, do that extra homework to memorize your car parts and not trust. This experience has left me with significant distrust toward Christian Brothers Automotive. I expect integrity and fair service, but I cannot recommend them. Updated Review (5 Stars): After the original review was posted, Matt, the store owner, reached out to us and went out of his way to showcase effort in helping resolve the issue. He was especially responsive and supportive throughout the process. It was also commendable for Mike to be vulnerable to demonstrate personal growth, grace, mercy, and his newfound perspective on this case, which we deeply felt we needed last time. Long story short, Matt went the extra mile by locating the EGR valve for us to return under warranty. He even offered for the team to replace the EGR valve we bought from them with the new one we would have gotten in exchange and to refund us for just the part they installed (since they would be able to keep their EGR valve). We’re grateful for the time and effort they put into addressing the situation, re-evaluating, and offering empowered, creative solutions for non-mechanics with a busy schedule. Thank you, Matt, for re-opening our case and, with fairness, making us feel valued and heard.

The staff is always amazing, available, thorough, informative, patient, accommodating, friendly & delightfully personable. I've taken my vehicle solely to Christian Brothers since 2017. They've always gone above & beyond to identify any problems, presented multiple solutions & recommendations, but never once have I felt pressured to have things done that were unnecessary or optional. When my 2003 Grand Am (that I bought brand new with 4 miles on it 21 years ago) took me on our final drive together last October, the guys at Christian Brothers proposed an alternative when I mentioned selling it to junk yard. They work with a charity that makes it so my car could benefit & help someone else in need of vehicle. Christian Brothers made it so I could donate my car to this charity and they would either fix it up & get it running for someone or take any proceeds from its sale & donate them directly to a family with transportation needs. In return for my donation, Christian Brothers cancelled out my final bill. It made my heart happy & my soul smile knowing that the car that had through all of the ups & downs of my adulthood and so good to me for all those years, was going to help benefit someone else who really needed it; as opposed to sitting in a junk yard for what would've been, at most, a $60 profit after all was said & done. Christian Brothers is a company that lives it name. They are good people doing good for all the people. I would recommend Christian Brothers ten fold EVERY single time! Thanks Christian Brothers for all you do!!!

This is an awesome automotive place. They did a fabulous job with the oil change. Tire rotation. I was only there for about 45 minutes. So different, then sittin for hours at a dealership. I highly recommend this place they're good

I made an appointment online with a very easy to use app. Greetings were friendly at the front desk. Courtesy shuttle was waiting and got me home safely. They met the timeline that they had discussed. And the car was pulled up in front waiting for me when I got there. Overall, an excellent experience.

It took 7 times to get it fixed finally. They were really apologetic but think they finally got it figured out. They didn’t charge for additional labor to fix problems.

They do great repair and meet your time lines most of the time. They are much more expensive than other shops and will up sell you on everything. If you need just an oil change, expect to receive a call for very high and scary estimates, and be told that it is critical to get it done right away. Some things may be needed, but do your homework. Their labor rate is much more than other local shops. However, I have seen them work with you to try and help you financially. I like the faith based atmosphere.

This was my first time at Christian Bros and I was thoroughly pleased. It's hard to find mechanics that you can trust, especially with major repairs. Steve was exceptional In providing guidance and advice. I have found my new automotive service! Shuttle drivers, Duffy and Steven, were courteous and very professional. Highly recommend!!

Took my car in for a starter issue. Turns out my starter, my battery and everything else was fine. They kept testing it. Finally called me the next day and said they could not find anything wrong with my car. They ended up NOT charging me even though they were all inspecting my car. Thank you Christian Bros for a much needed Merry Christmas without the cost!

Top notch all the way! I called and spoke with Mike, he very quickly and accurately quoted the work necessary and even sent over a flatbed to pick up my car. The vehicle was repaired by the next day, within 24 hours. And he sent over a shuttle to get me to the shop to pickup my vehicle. Fast, easy and affordable. I believe you can put your trust in Christian Brothers automotive and especially the one on West Happy Valley. I know I will again.
